It's not the new title of a European travel guidebook nor
the name of a new comedy show. It all about the tennis
engima's Down Under antics. Yep, rd of 16 against
Natalie Dechy.

I think it's there in the side pocket for Patty's taking.
What do you think?

No my good friend, a cat does not purr instead a cat Woofs like a dog my friend and quite surely howls at the ever yellower moon that lights our sky at night and btw Lisa's going down!

I must be having some bong flashback from my university days because
it looks like Patty is playing in a QF on Center Court in a grand slam!!!!!!!!!

Unbelieveable and it just goes to show you life works in wonderful and
very, very mysterious ways. :)

She's been serving up a storm so far - but always offscreen.

What a match! It was classic Patty. Didn't give Raymond anything to
hit. Whenever Raymond tried to serve...she was passed. Whenever
Raymond tried harder hitting it came back with interest, or none at
all leaving her to UE's. Whenever Raymond tried to boss the back court
Patty had her on a string like yo-yo!

Beautiful shots making!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great fortnight for Patty. She hadn't reached a GS quarterfinal since RG and USO in 1998! So already she has something to be proud of.

I wonder if she can go even further.

Beautiful shots making!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:worship: Add to which keeping Lisa playing and running all over the place wears Lisa out in case of a third set in the match whilst the effort of hitting all those dead balls and frustration causes Lisa to blow a mental fuse. (its what US containment strategy did to Russia in the cold war too) Kim is currently showing Anastasia why playing Kim's game is not a good idea. Can Patty get kim to play Patty tennis - she has done it before:bounce:

Did you hear the great "Patty, Patty" support she got during her match
on Rod Laver today? Lot's of cheering and yelling.
She thanked them on court during the after match interview,
and also quote on quote "the die hard fans". Could she be talking about people on board like us? Anyway...funny. She was beaming
and waving back at the cheering squad.

Kim was kind of chokey today, but so was Myskina too. Patty is playing with more confidence...you can do it! Take down Kim!!!!!!!!!!

There will be no all Belgian final this year. It's Patty -vs- Justine. :)

Great interview on the AO website with Patty. She gave those loud
supporters tickets for today's QF match. She met them at the Suarez
match where they really helped her pull out the win with great support.

I'm sure we'll hear from her crew again in the Kim match. I bet
she's got tickets for them again. :)

wait, wait! (vogus runs after the bus waving his arms in desperation)

(bus screeches to a halt, automatic doors open and vogus hustles up the stairs and grabs the last seat)

I'm jumping on the Patty cheering wagon- she is one of the players that i enjoy watching play and it sure would be nice for a darkhorse that no one ever mentioned during this fortnight to win..i really would like to see Kim win a slam but GO Patty:)
Same here. Erm, except for that part about Kim ;)

If Patty were to win the AO 2004, it would make for one of the most
interesting career comeback stories since Capriati. Beating the #2
and #1 players in the world could also make the talk of lack of
entertainment, depth and intrigue in the WTA mute.

I really don't see anybody getting past Justine, though. Prove me wrong, Batty! ;)

Shes not really making a comeback, Shes more showing people who doubted her that she can achieve something shes has been noted for and that she can be consistent

I know she's great, you know she's great; but in reality everybody
had written her off years ago. We had Swiss Comm and Family
Circle to flash the brilliance;but the majority don't consider Patty
a contender, nor a challenger. Look how many television
commentators had picked Lisa to win today?
