Amelie really seems to be in great form! She demolished Cervanova 6-0 62 in about 45 minutes. She made some silly errors too, but in general she was AWESOME! Ludmila had a couple of nice points too.

Yeah, but goddamn Channel 7 didn't show the first set.

Momo seemed to tire just a little toward the end, but wrapped it up easily.

Nice win for her. I'd like to see her do very well here. I hope that she is able to keep her wits about her, though. According to the experts, an evil stare can make her game unravel.

Amelie won't come close to losing a set until the SF's.

I got to see to see all of it, even the warm up. :)

What was it like? Well...it was mainly promotional photo ops, and the filming of
the special "MAGIC OF MAURESMO" Dvd :haha:
I don't remember much of what Ludmila did at all. Oh..she did have some rallies
when AM started to make some UE's.

Mauresmo's performance is a serious warmning to likes of Justine and davenport.
She will not be easy beaten here.

Mauresmo performance is not that of a serious warning to Justine since Justine did beat her last week, maybe to Lindsey though, but anyway, if she doesn't get to the Semifinals...i think that would be a shock to many

I agree. The volley's have improved. The transition points to the net
aren't as hectic now. Really lovely dashes to the net. If it comes down
to J Double H versus AM in the semi's it's going to be all about "net play"
baby, all about "net play". :)

Momo may look good now, but until she plays a superb, flawless QF, I am not going to give her a 50:50 vs. Justine.

Heh.

I'm giving AM a 50-50 chance against J Double H because the other match
wasn't a blow -out. Melbourne is as far away from FRANCE as you can get,
the further away from FRANCE- the better she does. ;) If she's happy off
court, she plays better. And finally because despite being chummy with
J Double H off court, and J "Hannibal" Hardenne being #1 two GS title
holder, AM truly feels that her all court 1-handed backhand game is as good
or even better on days than her.

i think it was impressuve due 2 the fact that back pain prevented her practice on sun, and she was grumacing a lot.

Her stats are really good. I think she had like 5 aces and only 1 double fault. I remember in 2002 Amelie's serve was really on fire and she had great results then so...

I think she can go very far here as long as she keeps her head.

It was nice the way she casually finished with an ace.

I'm not so sure if Amelie is on fire yet...after all she has a pretty nice cakewalk into the semis seeing as all of her seeded-supposed-to-be opponents dropped out
