I didn't understand all the signs... but I understood most of them! Where are you "originally" from? (I see that you live in Australia now) I was born in Taiwan but moved to Norway when I was 5. Well nevermind. Oh BTW Josh, I don't know about people from Taiwan, but for me to type chinese characters, I have to type in chinese phonetics, well sort of, but in english characters. Then I choose the chinese words and there you'll get it.

小小的自我介紹，好啊!! 我是在香港出生，之後在一九九二年移居到澳洲墨爾本。至於對網球的&# 35469;識，相信是在我大約十一歲的時候，當時在我印象中最深的網球明星 159;John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, Boris Becker, Stefan Edberg & Michael Chang，女的便有Martina Navratilova, Gabriela Sabatini & Steffi Graf!! 當時我最喜愛的男球員是Edberg & Becker, 女球員是Graf!! 雖然Graf在一九九九年退出網球圈，但直到現在她仍然是我最喜愛的網球ࣱ 9;明星!
至於對網球產生濃厚的興趣，便是在澳洲居住的時候! 而現在最喜愛的網球員，男的是Yevgeny Kafelnikov & Juan Carlos Ferrero，女的，哈哈，很明顯吧 - Jennifer Capriati!!!
希望大家都可以用小小時間，介紹一下自己，講講自己對於網球的認識&# 65292;或最喜愛的網球員!!!???

I have to admit, I really sucks in chinese, I study in UK for 7 years now, and I can read very well, but writing especially on computer is a no for me.
I sart watching tennis at 1996 when Jana Novotna beat Kimiko Date in Wimbledon in last 16, I really admire Jana's slice backhand and volley, so I am her fan, and now I support Monica Seles.

I have to agree with you, it must be around 95, 96 that Jana start turning things round, I mean serve and volleyer are older the better, look at MArtina and Natalie Tauziat. It is a shame coz she has a real shot at 99 Wimbledon, and I am convinced she can beat Lindsay at that time coz in 99 I was dying for a rematch of Steffi and Jana in Wimbledon to end Jana final chapter of her career.
Unfortuneately, never have a chance to see her play, hopefully she will join in the senior event in Grand Slam and I will sure try my best to get there.
The only chance I cna watch women tennis right now is when I return to HK in Christmas, and hopefully the Watson Water 's Cup will still holding and then I cna see some tennis, if not I guess I have to queue up overnight for a Wimbledon ticket or try my luck in the ballot

I don't like this, because we need to respect each other.some other fans need to have a party when know martina injury and leave tennis life. SO, i feel very disappointed to them.
on me, I will not hate Venus or Jennifer, I just hope we can have more great match of WTA to watch and "wonderful to lose is better than boring to win"

我從1995年美國網球公開賽開始喜歡上網球，唯一的偶像 便是Steffi Graf，至今對她仍是深深的懷念著，雖然Steffi*已退休 ，但我還是很喜愛看網球比賽，台灣的網球電視轉播常常 觀賞，現在比較欣賞的幾位是Martina Hingis, Jelena Dokic, Elena Dimentiava, 當然還有Steffi的老公Agassi..
很高興在這裡還能遇到講中文的人，在這兒寫中文還真有 些不習慣呢...:lick:

some are tradition chinese and some are simple chinese. you need use different translator to solve them!

We actually lived in Tien Mou and went to Domincan School. I loved it there!!! Saijen (can't remember how it was spelled:sad: ).

Hey Irish! Tien Mou, ah, I love that place!! we had an appartment there (the Jaquelin appartments or something like that...) , but we lived in Mou Tza (sp.) Moved to norway for 14 years ago. have you been in Taiwan these recent years? coz the Tien Mou area has become really great now!
Irish May 19th, 2002, 05:30 PM Hello Marri, unfortunately, we moved in 1971 from there and my Mom went back to visit in 1972. Tien Mou was great back then so if it is better now, I could not imagine how wonderful it is. After all these years, it is still the best place we lived. Lived about a 5 minute bike ride from the U.S. hospital. I would love to visit again!!!

I really recommend a trip back to Taipei. well, maybe you want to just travel through the island aswell, I did that last summer. Unforgettable. the best thing I've ever been on. I joined a study-tour for Taiwanese ppl who were born or raised abroad, and it was so much fun. :wavey:
Irish May 19th, 2002, 11:14 PM I remember some of the Taiwanese. We had to learn it in school but I am not fluent though. I have thought many times to go visit and my younger brother who was born there wanted to move there. When we lived there, we travelled throughout Taiwan, visiting Hualien, Tainan, Kaoishung, and Taichung. Maybe, my brother and I can arrange a visit and I'll try to show him all sites we used to go to. We lived on Yung Ho Li and I think the U.S. hospital was on the same street. Not sure though.:)

I'm in China Liaoning province.I have been a fan of Venus since 1999,and in 2002 I joined wtaworld,just had many exciting days here following lots of Venus match :)
I found many Chinese members here live abroad or in Taiwan/HK,but with Chinese players making great progress,the number of Chinese from mainland is catching up~
So wish all Chinese enjoy yourselves here and the players you support play well.

I saw a programme about it a few days ago it was very interesting. But I did saw the Queen once when she visited Derby a few years back. She's a very tiny lady.
