View Full Version : Lindsay's first match

I for one am very happy with the results; even though she admitted that she wasn't very consistent, she still won, and in straight sets! I remember when she played her first match after coming back from knee surgery in Fed Cup and she barely beat Obziler of Israel in a 3rd set tie breaker! Some people were saying that she didn't look good, but a 6-4, 6-3 win is good for me, especially since she's only played 1 match in more than 3 months and didn't start training till Dec. 10!!

And it seems like she had a good showing in the doubles with James Blake. Good luck against France and the rest of the field, Lindsay!! :bounce:

Yeah, I think she has just some problems with her rhytm but I believed she is doing fine in time for the AO.

She also looks good in her blue outfit!!!!

The outfit was GREAT! :hearts:

I think it was first match jitters, but she did really well in the second set. Her doubles game was great, too.

GO LINDSAY!!!!!!!!! :D :woohoo:

I love the red long sleeved outfit - she looks better in it than little Miss Hantuchova ;)

Her singles match was definitely rusty but hopefully she can get some rhythm going - the big test will be tonight's match against Mauresmo - Mauresmo is in top form at the moment and if Lindsay beat her it would be considered an upset because of rankings, etc.

Lindsay has a mental edge over Amelie, I believe because she has always been seeking revenge for AO 1999, and that's why since then her record has been so good against Amelie. I actually think that Lindsay stands a good chance tomorrow. Hopefully any jitters and kinks in Lindsay's game have been worked out. ;)

Let's go Lindsay! :D

when does lindsay play aganist momo?

Jan 7th, 2004, 12:54 AM
Tonight at 8.30pm AEDST

Lindsay has had the edge over her since the 1999 SF, but Amelie is coming off some of the best form of her career since she returned from injury last year so in terms of critics etc it would be an upset if Lindsay won.

For starters she needs to serve well and cut out the UE.

Blue is Lindsay's fave colour and she looks great this season in the blue and also in the red.

I think the first match was jitters too and I think the Hopman Cup is a perfect start for her after her surgery. Hopefully the rustiness will be gone by the time the Oz Open starts.

Lets Go Lindsay

 :wavey: :bounce: :worship:
