I seen it on Saturday nite. U askin is it worth watchin and I'm a answer but I don't know u and u and me make like diffrent kinda movie. :)

I gotta keep it real cuz when I went to see it I wasnt plannin on seein it. The newspaper had the wrong time for Bad Santa and my sista end up talkin me into seein House of Sand and Fog. I didnt know a thing bout the movie when we went in.

All I gotta say boo is if u like drama then u gon like the movie. There is nothin but drama that happen just cuz that girl was ghetto bout payin her bills. I was mad at the end cuz so many bad things happen just cuz this chick couldnt take care of her life. By the end it's all so sad and I didnt like the movie all cuz the chick made me so mad!! :fiery: Peeps were cryin but I was just mad!

I wanted to see this movie, too. I love Jennifer Connelly, but it's not at my theatre yet

Brilliant movie. For the first time all year, I was not let down a bit.

My best of '03, by far, so far.

I've read the novel, and I'm really looking forward to it.

It's dark and edgy and maybe hard to take in at times, but should be good.

well, there's jennifer connelly and ben kingsley, so at least the acting must be good.

ivan, check out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0315983/

Absolutely superb acting, making difficult-to-like characters believable. But - for me - the story descends into melodrama which mars the whole thing. It's just a little too over-the-top after a certain point for this viewer to 'buy' what happens. But that acting....amazing!

AMZING movie!!!! The emotions throughout this movie are sooo palpable. Kingsley and Connelly both did an incredibly job portraying their characters. I was sooo blown away by Kingsley's performance, however.

There's also a lot of parallelism within the movie and the ironic insertion of certain scenes were definitely very clever.

All and all, it was great!

FWIW, my partner read it too - and she thought it worked really well on screen. I thought it was great. Very dark (and i"m still cringing about the nails)

Ah, thanks anyway, Miss Thang. :worship: :bigclap: :wavey: I did see the movie once, but I think I might need to see it again. I'm not sure how I feel about the execution, but the theme itself is great. The acting was fantastic from Ben and Shoreh. I don't know why though, but JCon fails to impress me as an actress; at least I don't think she did anything terribly impressive in "A Beautiful Mind"...

Thanks, Beat - I check out IMDB all the time. ;) :wavey:
