So, I turned my computer off and sounds worked everywhere.

Turned it on and when using RealOne player, Windows Media Player and Kazaa - the sounds doesn't work. Yet if I put a CD in and use the DVD programme the sound does work.

Anyone got any clues? Or point me in a direction other than "check everythings pushed in properly" (thanks dad, except not).

If not, hi :wavey: I'm back

press all the buttons, and if it still doesn't work, you're screwed.

:wavey: welcome back :)

All those programs have a way to setup the audio and video options.

Your DVD player normally is physically connected to the sound card that's why you don't have a problem.

Real One or Windows media player should have recognized your sound card when they were installed but if it's not working you can set it up yourself.

In Windows media player go to tools --> options and select the device tab, then you should see the speakers listed, follow the onscreen instructions.
