I play most of my tennis on synthetic grass..... and i rather hate it.
Most of my match wins come on red clay. But my fave surface is hardcourt....

Doesn't really make sense...but hey.

I've won heaps on a hard court and once on a synthetic grass court, it was quite weird actually!!

Okay, who are you people and why aren't you out there training for your assault on the pro tour instead of petering about on a silly tennis messageboard? I'd give anything to win a singles tournament. I've been in plenty of singles finals (amateur level, of course - let's get real here) but never won any. I've won two doubles titles but, even though people keep saying I suck at doubles. I'm like Kournikova in that I've never won a singles title, but at least I look good trying. ;)

Oi Vey Azza! Green Clay does not turn the ball THAT green , but yes it turns it green

HAHA:) I didn't mean that green clay was the problem but it was just the fact that I have only won ONE tourny that was funny. Considering I've been trying for 3 years, I think I should have more than one title.

I've won several tournaments (4-5) on hard courts and on Har-Tru (green clay).

OK....I've won about 15 on hardcourts, 7 indoors (carpet), and one on synthetic grass ;)...I played like 2-3 tourneys on clay, and reached the semis in all of them...But my power game made me lose because of stupid UEs!

Actually thats not true, above...

I have only 1 one tournament on clay, lost in QF's of 1 and lost in the 1st round of the rest, I like to smash.

I have won 5 tournaments on hard, I really like the fast surfaces.

I have won 2 tournaments on synthetic grass, I don't like the skid that much, but still.

And I played my first ever indoor tournament last week, it was like a rubber, sticky surface, it was crazy, the ball bounces up a little, so it gives me a chance to smack it, it was great, I won all my matches, and I only lost 1 set along the way.

I will be playing another tournament on indoor next weeek, or clay I'm not sure. But I expect to win it I'm top seed.

My one singles win, odly enough, was on har-tru, which is my least favorite surface. It was a 3 set match where I simply stopped making unforced errors in the third set, and the guy I was playing couldn't stop. The rest are all doubles, and all on hardcourts- 3 titles. I play round-robin matches on grass (REAL grass) every June and July, but that doesn't count as a tournament win.

Good thread!
