Welcome To ATP/WTA BIG BROTHER SEASON 2, I'm your hostess with mostest, Jenn :D

As with last season, we have drawn our contestants from the ranks of ATP and WTA players and we have eight gorgeous specimens this time around for you to watch with a keen eye as they go about their everyday lives - eating, sleeping, showering, bitching and occassionally even brawling. The best part about this game is that it is interactive. Each week, YOU decide who has overstayed their welcome and who will get the boot. The last man or woman standing will surely have won the hearts of all WTAWORLD residents.

Day 1

Big Brother has decided to play with the housemates minds, he doesn't want them to be lulled into a false sense of security because they have viewed last years series of Big Brother. Accordingly there have been constucted two "mini-houses" which are mirror images of eachother, although one has predominately yellow accessories, the other blue. They are symmetrical with a dviding wall in the centre.

The housemates are divided into two groups and sent into either house.

*The first players sent in to the blue house are Jelena and Jan Michael, they are very quick to settle in. Jelena immediately bags the double bed. One of the features of the two house set up is that there is no bathroom; contestants will have to shower outside until further notice. Jan Michael is concerned that there are too few mirrors in the house and the absence of a bathroom is just too much for him, after all; he says to Jelena, "You have to look your best after all, we are on camera, like 24 7". Jelena agrees with him but informs him that she brought a mirror along with her in her make up bag. Jan Michael still isn't impressed and takes out his mobile phone, determined that his agent could negotiate a better deal. After BB has his phone confiscated (communication with outside world is prohibited afterall), he sits on the couch pouting.*

*Meanwhile, Anna - attired in pink hotpants - is attempting to take ten suitcases filled with innumerous changes of clothes and stockpiles of make up into the yellow house. She has enlisted the help of Roger, who is simply spell bound by her beauty, to do so, but Big Brother is having none of this, insisting that she take only one suitcase into the house, just as all the other contestants have. She immediately bursts into tears, and Roger allows her to bury her head in his chest*

*Amelie and David are next into the Blue House. Dressed in a tank top that displays her massive upper body, and displaying her helping nature, Amelie has volunteered to take Dave's suitcase in for him. Never one to turn down a good deal, Dave allows her to do so. Jelena rises to greet the new arrivals, but Jan Mike, who has wasted no time stripping himself of his T-Shirt, remains smouldering on the couch. There is an instant chemistry between Dave and Jelena. After the initial cordial greetings, Dave tries to break the ice with a joke. He calls out to the shirtless Jan Michael; "Hey Mr Universe, I think you've met your match" as he points to Amelie. Jelena snipes to him, "Dave, I think Jan-Mike is a little jealous that her arms are twice his size!" to which Dave replied; "I think she might be packing something else bigger too". The two giggle uncontrollably and then head outside to check out the facilities arm in arm. Meanwhile, Amelie has opened her suticase, which contains 7 singlets, and 5 pairs of shorts and is making herself at home in the bedroom"*

*The last arrivals at the yellow house are Mark and Lindsay. An hysterical Anna has been allowed to bring her ten suitcases in but must decide within the next 24 hours what she wants to keep and send the other 9 out. Mark and Roger share a beer out on the porch. Both notice there is not any pool, to which Mark replies with s cheeky grin; "we will just have to find other activities". Mark says that he was worried that their would not be any decent looking women here when he had to come in with Lindsay, but had his appetite fulfilled with Anna. He tells Roger that he will have "nailed" her within two weeks. Roger laughs and says "No chance mate". Lindsay is settling in the bedroom and helping Anna to decide which items to keep and which to send back. The topic falls to whether they will shower naked or not. Lindsay says that the outdoor shower makes her nervous and that she was too self-concious to shower naked. Anna, ham-fistedly attempts to allay Linds' fears by declaring "don't worry, not everyone can have a body like me". Lindsay smiles weakly and continues to help Anna with her sorting*

I just spend 3 hours reading the thread of last year... excellent entertainment! I'm very curious about it and definitely hoping for some interesting intruders! I wonder what David and Roger have to say to each other and if Roger will be David's bitch outside the court too!
And Mark and Anna in 1 house... steamy!

Keep up the good work

Coria should definitely be in here too, inciting all the housemates against each other and then feigning innocence when his own involvement is questioned.

Day 2

*With nominations imminent, as well as the exigencies of settling into a foreign environment, tension is the dominant feeling among housemates. In particular the fact that the groups are so small is exacerbating the isolation of the housemates. Unlike last season when their was a large group of housemates to start off with and an abundancy of relationships forming simultaneously at leisure, this time there is no breathing space. Exacerbated by the conflicting personality types, this forced intimacy seems to be driving the housemates apart rather than being conducive to bonding*

*The exceptions to this are David and Jelena in the blue house. In no uncertain terms they are getting on like a figurative "house on fire". Out in the garden, Jelena asks Dave his views on Lesbianism, given that one of their housemates is Amelie; "It doesn't bother me," says David nonchalantly, then he adds with a randy smile; "Infact it can be quite beautiful, it it happens between two lovely ladies". Jelena looks uneasy as she attempts to laugh at David's joke; "All you men are obsessed," David realises her uneasiness and says; "What's wrong?". Jelena explains how she had been bought up since birth to think that homosexuality was unnatural and that there was something inherently wrong with Lesbians. "Thats what I have been taught from my father. I know its silly, because I know better than that. They are just normal people. But, you know, sometimes its going to be very weird in here. Like, I have known gay girls on the tour, but never had to live with them. And I am the only other girl here." David trys to be positive; "Well maybe this will be a good experience for you". Just then Amelie emerges from the house heading to the outdoor shower - completely naked. Jelena turns to David who quips; "A steep learning curve, maybe?"*

*Meanwhile at the yellow house, Anna is frantically attempting to work out which items are less neccessary than others. All the housemates in the yellow house are extremely tired because Roger had kept them up all night with his inccessant (and extremely loud) snoring. Lindsay, increasingly frustrated with Anna's vanity, suggests that Anna send back one of her 5 make up bags. Anna looks at Lindsay's make-up less face and says; "Honey why don't you take this, that way it gets to stay in the house and you can use some too. Lord knows, you could do with some". Lindsay then slumps her shoulders and heads out into the kitchen, to start work on dinner. She is joined in a few minutes by Roger. Roggie had been outside with Mark, having set up a basket ball ring to pass the hours by in the absence of much company or facilities. However he had become tired of Mark's constant bragging about his sexual conquests and fast cars and sought refuge inside; "He won't even know I am gone" he laments to Linds. Lindsay invites him to join her in cooking as she finds it "therapeutic".*

*As sunset approaches Big Brother calls Anna to the diary room to question her about her luggage. Anna says that she hasn't decided yet - "They are all so important" - and Big Brother grants her ten minutes to finalise her decisions. Still unable to come to a decision after the allotted time, BB locks her out of the bedroom and proceeds to remove suitcases arbitrarily so that she is left with just one. This is the one containing fifteen different sets of Bikini's she had brought anticipating many pool parties. Now she has no casual clothes or make up aside from the pink hot pants and mini white top she is wearing. She bursts into tears, immediately after Lindsay offers her some clothes from her wardrobe. This of course delights Mark in particular, and after Anna has calmed down, the two flirt uncontrollably at dinner. For good measure, Anna does not let Roger out of her sights either, rubbing his inner thigh during dessert. Lindsay is a fascinated observer to all this, never being a femme fatale herself. Mark suggests that his manhood is three times the length of the sausages that Lindsay has cooked up for dinner, which precipitates raucous laughter from all three of the other housemates. Anna quips; "I guess we'll see in the shower tomorrow, huh?"*

Day 3

*Well nominations are out and the Yellow House is pleased to receive the news that none of the housemates have been nominated for eviction this week. The story is completely different in the blue house where three out of the four housemates have been nominated. Any one of them could go*

*Amelie has taken the news philosophically, not so Jan Michael who is still not out of the doldrums yet after having his attempts to upgrade his accommodation rebuffed by Big Brother; “Well this is just perfect, hey?” he says as the four sit on the couch to receive the nomination bombshell, “I would have expected this from this stupid game”. When David and Amelie urge him to calm down and that it is all part of the game, he only gets more frustrated, rises and begins yelling obscenities at Big Brother. At the sight of this tantrum, Jelena, who was inwardly smouldering over her nomination, can no longer contain herself, gets up and slaps Jan Mike straight across his pretty face. This stuns him to silence, and then she launches her verbal attack; “You know what? Why did you even bother coming into this game if you weren’t happy with the conditions? You should have known how the game worked before you came in here and if you didn’t then you are stupider than I thought. Stop whining like a little girl”. Jan Mike, full of indignation and never one to be outpointed in the diva stakes, then erupts “I guess that sort of abuse is what I’d expect. My mom always said to look at the parents and you see the child”. Jan Mike then turns on his heal, and heads out into the backyard to do some push ups. Meanwhile, Dave has pronounced a “cat fight” and both he and Amelie are in fits of laughter on the couch, however he soon makes a verbal faux pas of his own when he says to Jelena; “And you thought you were the only real woman in here!”. This immediately draws out Amelie’s anger. She had felt since entering the house that Jelena and Dave had been acting oddly towards her and now was the evidence; “Ok. You guys, you think I am some kind of freak? Because I am a Lesbian?” Jelena and Dave, now ashamed of themselves shake their heads but the look on their faces said it all. “OK then, how about you don’t talk to me at all? Seeing I’m a macho freak. That’s the way you want it? No?” It was then time for her to make an exit of her own. Upon reaching the bedroom door she says; “If you guys ever grow up, come and talk to me!” She then slams it behind her.*

*In the blue house controversy has erupted over the shower situation. Now left with only her swimming wear, Roger and Mark had hoped that Anna would be keen to bare all in the shower. This is not the case. She prances out of the bedroom at 9 AM in her expensive white bikinis, and Mark quips to her, “Off to the shower, baby? Going Naked?”. Anna replies haughtily; “No, a girl has to have some dignity…we are on national TV for heavens sake”. This seemingly moral stand pleases Lindsay who congratulates Anna on her modesty, but Linds is less impressed when Anna reveals the real motivation behind her bathing in bikinis- “If you want the guys to fall for you” she says, “You have to keep mystery about you…I’ll show him eventually”. Meanwhile, Mark has told Roger than if Anna was going to play that game then he would too; “She wants to see my body so badly that she’ll be taking her clothes off as soon as I tell her that I’ll be waiting until everybody’s comfortable taking their’s off before showing mine”.*

*In the evening members of both houses are called into their respective Living Rooms and told the weeks task which is to decorate T-Shirts with the flag and other products of their native country to use for a task that will be taking place later in the BB experience. They will also be making plaster casts of their faces. The task causes a dilemma for the Blue House, already filled with tension as Jan-Mike and Amelie have not spoken to the others all day. After all, who is Jelena going to represent?*

Nov 26th, 2003, 07:22 AM
Well it’s entertaining to read, but you should have Damir there instead of Jelena. Lot more possibilities, don’t you think? ;)

It’s rather sad that in average Joe's mind she will never get rid of father’s shadow.

Despite that still good reading for off season! :worship:

As a senior member of the old BB (:p), I must say that I have expected this second story for ages now, & even though it's just the beggining, it seems every bit as good as the old mater-piece was. Jenn, you remain a goddess, & I look forward to reading the continuation of your artistery ;)

Hey Nimi!. :wavey:

I quite like JM's personality - I can see him causing some fisty-cuffs in the house!. Martina didn't have a great personality last year, but she managed to last for quite a while - so there is hope for JM!.

Go Anna, keep stirring things up!!

Nov 27th, 2003, 03:39 AM
Day 4

*The shock of the first round of nominations now subsiding the housemates wake to a new day with issues unresolved. *

*The housemates of the blue house awake to an environment full of negative vibes and breakfast was eaten in a strained silence. After only two days the battlelines are drawn, with the state of play as follows - JM has alienated Jelena with his constant whining, Jelena has successfully managed to alienate both JM with her attitude and Amelie with her views towards her sexuality. David has alienated Amelie with his attitude towards her sexuality and Amelie has alienated Jelena and David by simply being gay. Yep, the blue house was full of joy at breakfast on day 4 .*

*After breakfast Jan-Mike wonders into the garden and sits down next to Amelie and starts to talk, "Just for the record, I don't give a fuck about your sexuality....live and let live I say!. Jan-Mike puts a comforting arm around Amelie who at first isn't too sure about the softer, less arrogant Jan-Mike she is seeing, but takes the words and comfort in good faith. Amelie replies "Thanks, it is hard for me to come out in this sport, but I don't see why I should have to apologise for who I am. Just because I am gay it doesn't mean that I am not 'a real woman'". Jan Mike nods in agreement and replies "Sometimes people only see what is on the surface and never bother to get to know the real person....that is why I came here to show the public the real me". Amelie gains strength from JM's support and perks up "We French women are known for being chic and stylish and I intend to prove this to all those who dismiss me!" . Jan Mike smiles and replies "That’s the way!". The two then discuss where they are going to work out over the time in the house to ensure that their muscle doesn’t turn to flab*

*In the yellow house, there are no overt conflicts but instead the atmosphere is filled with sexual innuendo and the tiredness that comes from three sleepless nights due to Roger’s snoring. At 1 AM, Anna had belted Roger across the head with her pillow, in an effort to silence him. “I swear,” she slipped to Lindsay, “If this goes on I am going to end up suffocating him with it (the pillow)”. The two girls then headed out to the living room and slept on the couches. Mark had earlier offered for Anna to come and sleep with him, and he would make sure that she was hearing “sweet nothings” rather than Roggie’s snoring. Roger had been sound asleep through it all*

*At day break, Anna K is playing with both the heads (the ones above their shoulders) of Roger – whom she promises in private that she will “compensate” if he stops snoring – as well as the randy Mark, while inadvertently insulting Lindsay with regards to how she looks. Mark is on the prowl for Anna and intends to play Anna's 'game' and win. Roger is interested in Anna, but is playing it cool. Lindsay seems to be slipping under the radar, being very helpful around the house and biting her lip when potential conflict is at hand. Is she the game’s biggest strategist?*

*As promised BB provides the housemates with T-shirts and various arts materials with which to start designing their own national clothing. Included with the materials is a sole laminated page giving the flags of their respective countries. Although there are 4 housemates in each house, the page for the blue house contains 6 flags - France, Yugoslavia, Australia, UK, USA and Argentina. The blue housemates are a bit confused by this, particularly by the Union Jack, as none of them are from the UK*.

*Over dinner Anna discusses the task with Lindsay, "I should have no trouble with producing an outfit....I am after all a fashion goddess. If you need any help, let me know Lindsay, us sisters must stick together in here". Heartened by this, and the fact they had fled the bedroom together earlier in the day, Lindsay feels that perhaps she, like so many others, had read Anna all wrong and made a note to get to know her better during her time in the house*

*The 6 flags on the page provided to the blue house continues to cause confusion for some of the housemates, David chuckles in jest to his pal "Hey, Jelena as this page has 6 flags and Amelie, Jan Mike and I are claiming one flag each I guess the other 3 flags belong to you!". Jan Mike and Amelie cannot contain themselves and, they collapse into fits of laughter. Jelena is far from amused, feeling her good mate had betrayed her, and retorts, "I am only claiming one flag too.....", but before she could finish her sentence Amelie pipes in "....Of course you are, you are just not sure which one yet - No!". The laughter builds into a crescendo, as Jelena's face reddens with hurt and rage. As it was now open season on Jelena, Jan Mike added to the bitching session with "It would have been easier to put the flag of the United Nations on the page - to make your life easier!". This remark brings high five from Amelie and Jelena walks out of the room, the laughter ringing in her ears muttering the words 'bastards' as she slams the bedroom door shut, a tear streaking down her cheek. David, who had not defended Jelena from the onslaught sees this as an opportunity to comfort Jelena and perhaps get some action off her, announces that the other housemates are “childish” in a voice Jelena is sure to hear, and follows her into the bedroom*

Nov 27th, 2003, 04:17 AM
The United Nations!!! very funny :worship:
Only Jelena doesn't seem to unite countries I think she ends up making them pretty angry/confused!

Basically we’ve seen all Jelenas controversial parts(except “not a player and never will be”, which will kick in most likely when she will be voted out first ;) ) so far, but finally when you picked most likely one of her good quality’s behind bedroom doors with David :tape: , your story stops. I’m disappointed...

Nov 28th, 2003, 03:31 AM
Day 5

*After a deep and meaningful that lasted well into the night, Jelena invited David to share her bed and in true Big Brother Style, the infra-red cameras do not miss a trick, spotting some mysterious action under the doona. Amelie and Jan Mike had decided it best to stay out of the bedroom after the confrontation and in any case as an “odd couple” are finding it very interesting to get to know each other, when at first they appeared to have little in common they find common ground in their work out regimen. They devise a regime centred around the exercise bike and many other exercises and decide to ask BB for some weights*

*Early in the morning it is Amelie who wanders into the bedroom to find 3 unmade beds and the 4th bed with the blanket crumpled up and a pair of size 10 (and extremely masculine) feet sticking out the end. Amelie backtracks into the living room and shrugs Jan Mike awake, "Hey come and see this!". JM is not pleased by the awakening, but follows his friend into the room. On seeing the rumpled bed JM says "So that’s why the little vixen wanted the double bed” he laughs. The two then file out and decide to wait in the kitchen for the aftermath*

*There are just as many nocturnal moves in the yellow house with Anna and Lindsay again spending the night on the couch to avoid Roger's or “zzzzzger's” as he is now become known snores.

*David is the first to emerge from the bedroom, shirtless and extremely cocky he is humming the tune of “I’m too sexy for my shirt”. “Big Night?” Jan Mike asks with a cheeky smile on his face. “Just Terrific” Dave replies. When Jelena emerges soon after and sees Dave talking about their night together she feels betrayed and runs to the bedroom. “Duty calls” Amelie suggests, and Dave heads back into the bedroom*

* “How could you do that?” snaps Jelena, “You are making me look like a dirty hoe. What will my family think?” And she buries her arms in her hands. “How could you talk to them anyway?” she asks, “"Don’t you see how Jan Mike is snuggling up to Amelie?. Now we are being made to look like the evil twosome, this could add to our eviction votes total!." However, David is quick to point out, "Don't you mean to YOUR eviction total, I am not up for eviction!". Jelena is shocked by how quickly David is backing away from her and picks up a cushion and gives him a good whack in the face saying "Get out! You’re just like every other man I’ve met, only after one thing! Now you’ve got want you came for you don’t even care about me any more” David tries to rebut her but he cannot prevent her tirade so leaves with his tail between his legs. Jelena locks the door behind him and yells for all the other housemates to hear that her T-Shirt design will blow them all away*

*Meanwhile in the Yellow House, work has got underway on the task. Mark writes 'Sex bomb #1' with letters filled in with Aussie colours on his T Shirt. Anna draws the statue of liberty with her face and the dress in stars and strips. When Roger points out to her that she is from RUSSIA not the USA she exclaims; “Oh but I live in America”.
Roger has decorated his T-Shirt with an image of his cow Juliette with mini flags of Switzerland. Lindsay, a bit put out that Anna has stolen her American thunder has adorned her T-Shirt with the phrase “ALL AMERICAN GIRL” so that the US votes know exactly who is the Yankie in the house. Lindsay has also drawn much attention to herself through her excellent culinary skills; “I don’t know what we would do without you!” says Roger. “You’d make the perfect wife” says Mark. Anna, seemingly threatened by the boys praise of Lindsay snaps “Well she IS married already”. Lindsay giggles; “Yes, I must be the first married girl ever to enter this competition. I’m so unsexy!” What ensues is a discussion about monogamy, with Mark heaping praise on Lindsay for her commitment saying; “Im just out for a good time. I can’t imagine tying myself down in the near future” Anna whispers seductively in his ear; “Maybe that’s because you go after the wrong girls”*

Day 6

*Well, with eviction imminent - the blue house is loaded with tension. Jan-Mike, Dave and Amelie, banished from the bedroom by a rampant Jelena continued to work on their garments well into the night, knowing that the task is due tommorow. Now that tomrrow has come they are finally putting the finishing touches on their tasks. Amelie has the Eiffel Tower on the back of her and words "Voulez-vous couchez avec moi ce soir? " on the front. The three lament how different this experience has been so far than what they had thought it would be. No parties, no late nights, no group bonding - it wasn't half as much fun as they had imagined. David knows that he had been judgemental of Amelie and apologises. To which she replies; "Cest le vie", and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Meanwhile Jan Mike has ripped the arms of his shirt off and has cut out a band in the middle to show off his 6-pack. What that has to do with the USA no one is sure. David whispers to Amelie; "I think he is representing American culture by being a Ken doll". Jan Mike hears *this, and instead of flying off the handle as he may have earlier in the week, he takes heed of the fact that David is a bit of a joker, realises that it was all in good jest and that they are all having a hard time and its only going to be harder if they don't start to get along. He smiles back, "At least I have a six pack, FAT DAVE". To this David erupts into raucous laughter and insists that he is going to join the fitness regimen of the other two.*

*In the Yellow House the task has been completed, but no one has found an adequate way of dealing with Roger's snoring. Anna refuses to sleep on the couch any longer because it is uncomfortable and effecting her requisite beauy sleep. Mark, trying no doubt to impress Anna, rises from his slumber and pegs Roger's nose, which the two girls find hilarious. Later he suggests using cotton wool as ear plugs, and this is effective although Anna thinks it is utterly unglamorous. Again Roger is sound asleep through all the chatter*

*The harmony in the living room of the blue house looks sure to be shattered, when the three housemates hear the creak of the door from the bedroom. Jelena has worked tirelessly on her outfit and is now modelling it. Jelena shows off a t-shirt with a picture of a globe with various flags. The t-shirt states that she is an 'International girl!'. She says coldly, "Well what do you guys think?" and this sends a shiver down the spines of the other three housemates. It actually looks very good and Amelie pipes up, "Very Classy, Jelena", not exactly sure of what the response will be like. However it soon becomes evident that Jelena has done some thinking of her own and she beams; "So who do you think will allow me to respresent them at the Olympics for them now?" David chimes; "If you look that hot, I say come play for Argentina". Jelena is the first to laugh at herself followed by her fellow housemates who give her a round of applause. She apologises to them all for her behaviour saying; "Well I will probably leave tonight, but I couldn't leave with all these unresolved issues. I guess I am just a temperamental girl at heart. Do you think you guys can learn to love me?" They all agree that in future they would be much more receptive of eachothers feelings*

*All this is very sweet, but the dynamics of the blue house are set to change again with eviction due in a matter of hours*

That's the only flaw to this... people vote for their favourite player, no matter how much their character blows. Like Kim winning last year? Please... her character was by far the least interesting there. But she's popular as a player, so she won

Nov 30th, 2003, 10:50 AM
Day 7

*Dawn breaks on the first day without Jelena in the blue house. Late last night, the housemates of the blue house had watched Jelena's Video Will - a pre recorded message recorded by all nominated housemates - and it had brought some closure to the feelings of tension that had engulfed the house during the past week. Jelena tells Amelie never to be ashamed of being who she is, to Jan Michael that they had a major personality clash but that he should always be true to the diva within (this draws giggles from all three housemates) and to Dave that there was definitely room for him in her life on the outside. Over breakfast, with only three housemates remaining thoughts start to drift to the other house - "It's gonna be lonely with just the three of us" says Amelie. David then suggests that they try to make contact with the other house and this becomes the discussion point of the rest of the day*

*While the physical dynamics of the yellow house have not changed the nature of the relationships seems to be changing daily. While Roger's snoring has galvanised Mark, Anna and Lindsay by night, during the day the relationships are quite different with the moderate Lindsay and Roger increasingly being drawn together by the polarising and extreme personalities of Mark and Anna. Roger tells Lindsay that while he finds Anna "extremely attractive" that he has given up any hope of a relationship with her, that "we just don't connect". Lindsay gives Roger a hug, and both voice their exasperation over Mark and Anna's constant flirting although Lindsay admits she finds it "fascinating and funny, very funny". Then a cheeky thought enters Lindsay's mind; "Hey are you up for some fun?" "Always" Roger replies. "How about we play a little bit of matchmaker!" "Ohhhh this should be good". Both vow that they will meet tomorrow in the her patch in the garden (somewhere Anna and Mark never venture, as they refuse to have anything to do with food preparation) to discuss the ways in which they will bring the flirtations between Mark and Anna to a climax"*

*Later in the garden while Mark and Roger are shooting some hoops, there are signs that Mark's resolve is breaking. With Anna refusing to get her gear off in the shower, the house had made a pact that until ALL were ready to shed their clothes in the shower then no one would. Mark fears that he is never going to see Anna's juicy bits because of Lindsay's lack of adventure, her "frumpiness". He says, "I just can't wait to get my light saber out". Inside, Anna admits to going a bit stir crazy over the past week, "This is sooooooooooo BORING" she laments to Lindsay. "I don't think I'm going to be able to stand another 5 weeks in here"*

Nov 30th, 2003, 01:23 PM

Day 8

*Dave has taken to the fitness regime like a duck to water - or NOT!. While Amelie and Jan Michael, have the capacity to perform many sets of weights and still do 100 push ups afterwards, Dave is often complaining after the first 10 minutes of the session and is inevitably distracted within half an hour. Jan Mike finds Dave's failed attempts to stick to the work-out regime laughable; "Hey mate, if you want to look this good, you have to work that booty". Dave's typically laid back personality isn't going to be perturbed by Jan-Mike's sniping and he continues to think of ways to communicate with the other house. Amelie and Jan Mike meanwhile are amusing themselves by staging races sprinting back and forth across the yard that is barely 25 m long (yes, they are bored!) and Jan Mike, increasingly infuriated by his inability to get the better of the athletic french girl stomps inside, "saying this is just stupid". Big Brother calls Jan-Mike to the diary room and he is told that tonight, with the wonderful weather, there would be food provided for a barbeque*

*The hot weather is mirrored by the heat of Lindsay and Roger's conspiring in the yellow house. Out in the Veggie/Herb patch, Roger tells Lindsay about how Mark had called her a "frump" and while this at first riles her, she decides that she can have a little fun with it (and will) when the time is right, "It's in the memory bank" she winks at Roger. But there minds immediately turn to more immediate manners and getting Mark and Anna together. "How about a game of truth and dare? When they don't answer we can get them to kiss as the dare" says Lindsay, her face lighting up. "That will never work" Roger replies, "They are never going to have to do the dare, because they will always give an answer. They are not embarrassed to say anything!" Lindsay nods her head and laughs. "Well back to the drawing board, then" she says, a little deflated*

*Inside, Mark and Anna are lying on the couches and speculating over the existence of the other house, because Anna is desperate for some new faces, "I have never spent this long looking at just three other faces. Do you know that when you are on set there are like one hundred other people there. This is soooooooo boring!". Mark agrees, and reminds her that he had once been asked to appear in a film, but "I put tennis first" he says pointedly. But Anna is not going to let Mark get the better of her in their mind games "Oh really, I hear you do a lot more partying then training, party boy" But all this is good natured flirting, the type that has carried on for the past week. Then Anna adds; "Anyway, if I have to be looking at a limited number of faces, yours is one of the ones I would rather be looking at. Its not bad at all". Mark laughs "either is yours". Are they moving closer together without Lindsay and Roger's help?*

*Like the Blue House, the Yellow House has also been provided with the materials to conduct a barbeque to take advantage of the exceptional weather. It is no suprise when Lindsay takes the chef's apron and hat and gets working on the barbeque*

*Meanwhile in the blue house, Amelie is doing the cooking, assisted by a Jan Michael who seems to think that he has a special technique which can drain most of the fat from the meat. Dave, who has constructed a hammock(the most work he has done through the duration of his stay in the house) between two trees in the garden using a beach towel that he had brought into the house hoping there would be a pool pleads from his comfortable position "not to suck the excitement out of the food as well. Life is bland enough in here at the moment" Both Amelie and Jan Mike ignore his advice in pursuit of a more healthy meal and he labels them the "fitness fraternity". They end up burning the dinner to which Dave rolls his eyes and just smiles; "You guys are lucky Im a good natured fellow. If Jelena was here she would have broken your balls" And upon getting a scowl from Amelie he quickly attempts to defuse the situation; "Its Just an expression". She just laughs at his faux pas *

*In the yellow house Lindsay had cooked kebabs that her fellow housemates had devoured with much gusto and now the aroma is wafting into the compound of the Blue House. Dave, always one to take note of good food, immediately senses Lindsay's cuisine and sees his opportunity to communicate with the other house. He climbs the adjoining wall to the top, but only sees and extended roofline.

He then calls out loudly "HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE???"

Anna, yearning for some other contact, pricks her ears up immediately "Did anyone hear that?"
She then gets up goes close to the wall placing her bikini clad backside right in Mark's face. "WE'RE HERE" she yells back.
Dave then responds; "HOW MANY OF YOU ARE THERE?"

All the Yellow Housemates smile at Lindsay, who blushes. All the yellow housemates then erupt into a chorus of "Wouldn't it be good to be in your shoes, the grass is always greener over there"

As if infuriated by this pervasion of the two house system, an announcement then comes over the PA systems of both houses; "This is Big Brother. David and Anna to the diary room please."

*Both head off to their respective diary rooms and are told to report back to the other housemates that they must go straight to their bedrooms now and could not emerge from their bedrooms until 10.00 AM tomorrow morning while some plumbing work is done.*

Day 9

*After the exciting events of communicating with the other house, it is no surprise that the housemates, when sent to bed at a ridiculously early hour find it very difficult to sleep. With loud noises of construction, it doesn’t take long for the housemates to deduce that “Plumbing Work” was a metaphor for the construction needed to join the two houses*

*The idea of meeting the other housemates is met with jubilation. Anna peaks, loud enough for Mark to hear “At last Lindsay, perhaps we will get some real eye-candy to look at”. Lindsay is quick to play along and replies “Yes, I wouldn’t mind hanging Marat’s jocks from the flag pole like last year – I wonder if he could be in the house?’. Mark is flustered by these comments and remarks “To be honest, I think we have quite a good group here! I mean Marat may be a pretty boy, but let’s face it he has a chicken chest”. Anna senses some jealousy and replies “Yes, but with such a pretty face who cares about his chest?.” Mark mutters, “I suppose it depends if you want a man or a boy”. Lindsay and Roger look at each other and grin. It then dawns on Lindsay that this whole conversation was against the Big Brother rules – current housemates are not permitted to talk about previous seasons of BB while in the house and she wonders when BB will pull herself, Mark and Anna up on their indiscretion.*

*In the Blue house, there is less dissent. Amelie states, “I can’t wait to meet the other housemates, especially the girls. I mean a girl can get lonely in here!”. JM whispers to David, “It would be nice to at least have a chance with someone of the opposite sex….since Jelena I feel like a thirsty man in a desert”. Dave nods, “A girl with big titties would be nice”. The boys then just erupt into laughter and Amelie looks at them confused and completely oblivious to their conversation.*

*Housemates from both houses only settle down to sleep well past 4 AM and at one minute to 10, housemates from both houses are woken (or perhaps a better verb is “disturbed” ) by BB, “This is BB, housemates have 1 minute to pack and leave the bedrooms”

*Lindsay is the only housemate to respond, dragging her tired bones out of the bed and pulling on a pair of sweat pants and top to hide her modesty. Anna does not respond and neither does Zzzzger or Mark who manages to flip the bird to a BB camera before pulling the quilt over his head.

*In the Blue house the response is no better with Amalie, David and JM all failing to act on BB’s request. All the while BB counts down ’45,44,43,42’. BB again repeats it’s request for the housemates to pack and leave this time adding, “Any housemate that refuses to perform this task may be disqualified at BB’s discretion”. The warning has the desired effect and the housemates begin to stir – Anna grabs her make-up bag, irritated that the public would see her not at her best. Unlike Lindsay she does not feel the need to cover up and is happy to stay in her cropped top and hotpant pyjama bottoms. Mark pulls himself out of bed and flexes his muscles, and waltzes off in his jockey shorts – “Give the public what they want”, he winks to Anna. Anna replies “Of course”. Roger pulls on a pair of sweats, just about managing to do this while still asleep.

*In the Yellow house Amelie curses in French and grabs a bra and thong that she can change into. David takes his pillow and Jan Mike packs nothing and simply sleep walks into the living room to await BB’s word.

*BB finally counts down ‘5,4,3,2,1’ and a siren rings throughout both houses, urging the housemates to evacuate the bedroom*

*What they see upon stepping outside their sleeping quarters is nothing short of a complete transformation, which leaves them all gob smacked. Gone is the dividing wall, the two living rooms had been combined to create a gigantic entertainment complex and Kitchen. (See the attached plan of the BB HOUSE) The housemates from the respective houses are still unable to see each other, but they waste no time trying to communicate with Anna calling out “HELLO!!!!!!!! CAN ANYONE HERE ME?”*

*Around the corner comes David whose eyes immediately focus on Anna who he tells is just as beautiful as she sounds, Anna blushes at him saying while Mark is in ear shot; “Finally a real man to sink my teeth into”, to which Dave replies; “I’m very tasty believe me”. Hot on his heels are Jan Mike, whom upon clapping eyes on Anna gives a high five to Dave and Amelie, who is similarly drawn to Anna’s beauty. Mark’s initial relief not to see Marat is soon replaced by a deep uneasiness at the presence of Jan Mike, shirtless and all. The two engage in a battle of biceps as they posture for Anna’s attention, but hers has already fallen elsewhere as Amelie’s lack of femininity surpasses even that of Lindsay to whom she whispers; “She is even less feminine than you, I didn’t know that was possible”. Lindsay meanwhile is just pleased to have a girl in the house who would not be obsessed with her make up bag. Roger is awestruck by the whole situation but quickly touches base with Dave whom he advises to forget about Anna; “Anna is too high maintenance”. Dave laughs; “You don’t know what high maintenance is until you have met my Jelena”. Roger inquires, “Who is Jelena?” “Oh just a girl who used to be in our house, I’ll tell you all about her later” he smiles cheekily. Jan Mike and David both take the opportunity to feel up Anna’s backside while they give her a seemingly innocent hug. Mark is the most unhappy housemate. Not only are their new rivals in his pursuit of Anna, but the only new female addition to the house is a lesbian*

*The pleasantries continue for hours as the housemates explore the new additions to the house – the most notable being a new pool, a new much more extravagant bathroom and FINALLY a bathroom complete with communal showers and “MIRRORS!” yells Jan Mike. Both he and Anna are delighted with this and appear to be instant sole mates*

*The euphoria is interrupted at night fall by BB’s unwelcome interruption;

*The housemates look at eachother, clad in their pyjama's still and they laugh. David jokes; "Well at least we are not leaving the house where other people have to see us....Oh yeah I forgot we are on television"

Day 10

*The uniting of the house seems to have set the house alight (at last) with the party atmosphere that all had hoped for from the beginning finally arriving with the population now seven. There is also an apparent urgency among the housemates to make the most of this experience before the nominations are announced, particularly the new facilities. With the first part of the task meaning they will not be able to change until Monday (as they failed to pack their bags as Big Brother), Anna who had been using her Bikinis as underwear since having the rest of her wardrobe confiscated is the only one dressed to take advantage of the pool, and she does so with an early morning dip. She had earlier proclaimed to the housemates that she was clearly the most intelligent in the house because she had predicted this move from Big Brother at the outset and so kept her bikinis over her other clothes. Lindsay was quick to remind her that it had been Big Brother who had “chosen” the Bikini Suitcase for her. As she swims, Dave and Mark are watching her from the kitchen window where they are brewing a breakfast coffee; “Its like living in the play boy mansion” says Dave tongue in cheek. “Too right mate” says Mark laughing, “Now if only we can have her take those clothes off”. Mark doesn’t seem to realise that Dave may well be the biggest threat to his self-proclaimed title of house Casanova. He is suspicious of Jan Mike, but immediately befriends Dave, whose affable personality seems irresistible to all*

*It is not long before the tranquillity is shattered by yet another voiceover from Big Brother; “Lindsay, Mark and Anna to the Diary Room please”. Mark from the comfort of the couch lets out a sigh; “Damn we’re nominated”. But Lindsay knew the real reason, she had been waiting for this since yesterday. Big Brother scolds them for their indiscretion, pointing out that their discussion of previous housemates directly contravened the rules they had agreed to when entering the house. Lindsay, mindful of how this might appear to the public, is very apologetic to Big Brother. Anna and Mark on the other hand back chat telling them that BB should not be restricting what they are talking about “Its boring enough in here” yaps Anna, Mark backs her up; “She is absolutely right”. Big Brother ends up handing them a warning – a “first strike”. After three, of course, it is at BB’s discretion to end the housemates participation in the competition. Leaving the diary room, Anna gives Mark and kiss on the cheek and takes his hand – “Thanks for the support”. Lindsay is quick to report this development to Roger*

*Mark and Jan- Mike both of whom did not take a shirt when asked to pack have been itching to get in the pool, but cannot afford to get their pyjama bottoms wet – these of course are the only clothes they can where until Sunday. Out in the old yellow house garden meanwhile, Amelie is pleased to see that there is an established basket ball ring and her and Roger spend a few hours in the afternoon getting to know each other while playing a very competitive game of one on one. Like her competitions with Jan-Mike in the old house, Amelie invariably comes out on top, but Roger thinks this is great; “its good to have a challenger, Mark was just hopeless at it”.*

*After a meal prepared by Lindsay – the first time Jan Mike, Dave and Amelie had tasted her cuisine – the housemates settle down to think about the stories they will share during tomorrow’s presentations. BB announces that their will be a party on Friday night to celebrate the merging of the houses and the theme will be announced after tomorrows task is completed. Then the nominations are announced; Mark, Lindsay and Amelie again. All three seem to take the news very well at first glance.*

*At night, after the girls head off to bed to get their “beauty sleep”, the boys take the opportunity to indulge in some “guy talk”, and inevitably this calls for a discussion of masturbation. Mark asks the other guys to admit whether they have had “one” yet, he says he had already performed the act multiple times; Jan Mike says that he had one last night for the first time; "After seeing Anna's ass I couldn't hold it in anymore". This draws a look of resentment from Mark. Roger says that he had sworn to go his whole time in the house while remaining the “master of his domain”. Mark says; “I’ll come back to you in a week mate, you won’t be able to stand it”. Dave had remained quiet through all this, and Mark finally turns to his new friend, “What about you, man?” Dave remains tight lipped and Jan Mike bursts into laughter. Roger then remembers what Dave had told him yesterday and erupted; “Jelena!”. “Who’s Jelena?” Mark asks confused. “Lets just say she kept me satisfied” says Dave in a husky tone. “Ohhhh Davey, you sly dog. Well done mate!” Mark laughs. Discussion then turns to lesbianism and Jan Mike asks whether Lindsay could be gay. Roger staunchly defends his friend; “No way, she’s a straight girl, she’s married”. “How about we try to get Anna and Amelie together, now that’s something I’d like to see” says Dave. Mark cuts him off; “No, no mate – Me, Anna, Amelie, now that’s something I’d like to be part of. If I don’t turn Amelie straight, no man can”. Dave retorts “You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?”. Roger applauds Dave for finally putting Mark back in his box*

Great job Jenn! :D I'm terribly sorry about not sending in nomination this week, I've been super busy. Btw, are judges alloed to vote? :)

I wonder if Roger will get to bang Lindsay.

Dec 3rd, 2003, 06:52 PM
It would seem that those two are aiming to be the quiet people of Big Brother... no nominations yet, and they seem to be far too amiably dull to engage in the sexual shenanigans of the salubrious sextet that originally accompanied them onto the show.

Hey all. Yep I find Nalby hot  and yes, JUDGES CAN VOTE. Now on to today's update

DAY 11

*The boys, who had talked well into the small hours of the morning, had been careless last night, openly gossiping in the old Yellow Living Room, while the bedroom door remained ajar. Lindsay and Anna had both heard their dirty gossiping which at times made Anna so angry that she wanted to go out to confront the boys herself as she said to Lindsay; ‘What makes them think they can look at us only as sex objects? I’m going out there!” Lindsay, who bites her tongue at Anna’s ironic fury at female exploitation, is quick to hold her back, “No, you can’t!” Anna was incensed; “You are going to let them get away with it?”. Lindsay laughs under her breath, remembering she still had to get back at Mark for calling her a frump; “If you are really serious about taking a stand against this then…” Anna cuts her off; “I am…” Lindsay continues; “Well how about then, we don’t get angry but rather we get even. If they think I’m a lesbian and you’re a slut then lets give them what they want. We just have to wait for the right time!” Anna smiles devilishly; “I’m liking this side of you, Lindsay. I like it very much girlfriend.” Lindsay smiles weakly, wondering exactly what she had just got herself into”*

*Jan Michael, in alliance with Anna, has gone straight to the BB diary room early in the morning to ask for changes of underwear for all the housemates; “I know that you think this task is funny, but seriously it is just plain unhygienic if we don’t change our under garments all week” says Jan Michael in his most earnest voice. “You can’t let us live like this,” pleads Anna. Big Brother sends them both away and says that he will give the issue some consideration*

*In the afternoon, the housemates settle down to their task of sharing their most painful experiences. Mark kicks it off with a surprisingly sensitive, and tearful recount of the period of time when his father had cancer and his life hung in the balance. As a tear escapes from his eye, Lindsay hugs him and both her and Anna can’t help but shed a tear. After over a week living in the house with Mark, this was a facet that neither had seen.*

*Next up is Amelie who tells of the troubles of coming to terms with her Lesbianism and the way in which she had been treated poorly throughout the years. For Dave in particular, and a lesser extent Anna, this is important in overcoming their reservations about lesbians, largely drawn from their xenophobia (fear of the unknown)*

*Anna then tells of her private pain at being taken for nothing more than a sex symbol, “Sometimes I just don’t know who I am, I don’t like myself” she says. Much to Mark’s disgust Jan Mike gives Anna a big cuddle; “I know what you mean sweetie, it isn’t easy being beautiful”. For Lindsay and Amelie this story revealed Anna to be more than a just a pretty face and they feel as if they understand her much better - she has insecurities just as they do.*

*Roger and Jan Michael follow with their stories. Then it is Lindsay’s turn to explain of the darkest days when she had considered quitting the tour because of her weight problems and the s******s behind her back. Anna and Mark both take a note to refrain from taking pot-shots at Lindsay’s appearance; she has been through enough. For Roger, he feels an even greater sense of admiration for his new friend.*

*After many hours of tears and soul searching, and as the sun begins to set the housemates prepare to listen to the final story; that of David. ‘Your turn man” says Mark and the other housemates immediately lock their stares onto him, prepared to listen to another heart-breaker that would bring them all closer together. But the Argentine is uncooperative; “Sorry guys, no story for me. I don’t buy into this idea of American psychology that one can pass over their pains. Cry them out and they’re gone. I don’t do that. I can’t. I’m sorry.” All the other housemates are a little deflated that the session that had given them so much had to end on this note and were particular concerned that as this was a group activity they would all be failed. They try in vain to persuade Dave to change his mind but he is resolute. The housemates wait with bated breath for BB’s verdict.*

*After Dinner BB’s voice comes billowing through the PA system:

David will report to the Diary Room at 9 AM tomorrow morning for his punishment
Jan Michael to the Diary Room now please”

*The housemates hear a high pitched scream from the Diary Room shortly after Jan Michael enters and after a short while Jan Michael emerges looking pale faced and clutching clothing in his hands. They were 7 orange prison inmates uniforms to be worn by those who failed to pack sufficient clothing for the week (AKA every housemates). “Great, finally some clothes” yells Roger, “What's wrong Jan Mike?” “It's obvious” yells Anna, rolling her eyes, “how can anyone with fashion sense wear these, its orange for heaving sake!” Jan Mike nods at her; “You understand me so well” he whispers*

*While the other boys and Lindsay and Amelie change into their new clothes Jan Mike reveals that underpants will be allowed to be accessed when necessary. He also takes out a note from BB with the details of tomorrow’s party.

Dear Housemates,
To commemorate the joining of the houses their will be a party held tomorrow night. The theme of the party will be the SEVEN DEADLY SINS. These are outlined below. Each housemate must decide upon the sin that best suits them and will be supplied with the costumes. Have fun!

PRIDE is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
ENVY is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.
GLUTTONY is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
LUST is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
ANGER manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.
GREED is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.
SLOTH is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

*Which sin do you think suits each housemate?*

Lust, Mark Philippoussis
Pride, Gambill or Anna?
Sloth, Glutonny David

Lendsay and Roger are quite sinless :P

Pride: Jan-Michael
Greed: Anna
Lust: Mark
Sloth: David

Gluttony: Lindsay
Envy: Roger

The last three were kind of left-overs though. The first four were easy and then those other three were really hard ;)

Dec 5th, 2003, 06:16 AM
Day 12

*Roger and Lindsay are first up on Friday morning, with Lindsay finally showing some signs that the nomination week is taking a toll. The two share a morning coffee pool side and Lindsay confides that she doesn’t want to leave; “I feel like the party has just started, I don’t want to leave now. I’m not wishing today away that’s for sure”. Roger hugs her; “I’m sure you’ll be safe, you’re the nicest person in here”. Lindsay smiles; “Thanks, that means a lot to have someone like you in here among the crazies!” The two laugh, then Roger changes the subject; “Boy yesterday was some heavy stuff, wasn’t it?” “It was worthwhile though. There are a few people in here who I misjudged, or at least thought were more simple than they actually were. Everyone is complex” says Lindsay, and then she adds; “Everyone has more than one side…I can’t wait until tonight”. Roger agrees and senses his friend is up to something; “What are you up to?” Lindsay smiles, “Oh nothing”*

*Meanwhile, David, who has assumed the double bed that Jelena had originally claimed and that he had shared with her just over a weak ago has failed to get out of bed by 9 AM to receive his punishment and now Big Brother is forced to make an announcement over the PA system instructing him to intend the diary room. This announcement drags the remaining housemates – Amelie, Mark, Anna and Jan-Mike - out of bed too and when Dave returns from the diary room to announce that he has been banned from consuming alcohol tonite and must assume the role as waiter to the other housemates, he does not receive much sympathy. When the 4 had emerged from the bedroom, Anna had quipped to Jan Mike, attired only in his designer boxer-briefs, as he has been since the merging of the house (albeit a new pair), that it was like they were living in a prison to which he had replied; “They should be imprisoned for crimes against fashion”. Anna, having changed into yet another bikini, laughs loudly but Mark interjects, “Be careful or you’ll be seeing me naked soon!” to which Anna had replied randily; “what makes you think I don’t want to see that?” Although Dave will ironically be doing most of the work tonight, the housemates have no qualms about endowing him with the sin of “Sloth”*

*The shower is presenting an interesting dilemma to housemates. All appreciate the presence of a bathroom, particular Anna for good lighting to apply her make-up. However to shower naked or not is the hot question. The housemates from the blue house have been showering naked as they did in the old set up, however no one is too keen to break the old yellow house pact. Lindsay and Roger are still not game to and while Mark really wants to shed his gear, he is playing mind games with Anna – proving that he can hold out longest. When Dave asks whether Mark has something to hide Mark is quick to rebuff his mate; “Of course not. I just don’t want you all to have to go into shock therapy” Dave pulls Mark up again on doing a lot of talking while backing it up with so little action. Mark begins to worry that audiences might be beginning to see him as fake and the possible impact on his eviction tally*

*Assigning “sins” to each housemate is very easy for some, but once the obvious have been assigned it becomes a more difficult task. Dave gets “sloth”, Mark ‘Lust’, Anna and Jan Mike, so similar in personality type, take “Pride” and “Greed” respectively but these could easily be interchanged. Then it comes down to the difficult part. The other three characters had demonstrated very little “sinful” qualities during their time in the house. Roger takes “Gluttony” saying – “Everytime I eat Lindsay’s food I just want more and more, even if I have had my fill”. Lindsay takes “Envy” because she often wishes she could look more like Anna. This leaves Amelie with “Wrath” which doesn’t quite fit but Dave remembers quite well the time she had put Jelena in to her box in the Blue House.*

*Big Brother then supplies the costumes and there is time for some face painting. Anna and Jan Mike trust no one else but each other to do their painting for them. Jan Mike paints Anna’s face violet, the colour of pride and she returns the favour by painting him Yellow for greed, applying the paint painstakingly. Mark feels the jealousy burning up inside of him and upon seeing his face Dave quips; “Maybe you should have chosen, Envy!”. Dave meanwhile paints his face light blue for sloth and does not shave so that he has a “goatie” to match the animal symbol of sloth – the goat. Amelie is relishing the role playing , taking her top off and having Dave paint her whole body (including her breasts) red for her and donning devil horns. The other boys marvel at how Dave always gets the best jobs. Roger straps on a pigs nose to represent gluttony and paints his face orange.*

*As the sunsets BB asks Dave to come to the diary room and he returns with a portable bar, with many designer drinks available. “Fasten your seat belts” quips Anna, “It’s going to be a bumpy night!” then she bursts into laughter; “I have always wanted to say that"*

*As the night wears on there is much joy as the housemates hear music for the first time since entering the house. The housemates get progressively more intoxicated with Lindsay (I guess she is no angel afterall!) and Anna taking numerous shots of Vodka. Dave doesn’t shirk his task as bartender and earns many plaudits from the others for his quick attendance, Anna slapping a huge kiss on his cheek, which does not escape Mark’s eye. Mark then takes Anna onto the veranda come dance floor so they can do some serious “dirty dancing” along side Amelie and Roger. Jan Mike then cuts in on Mark and Anna’s dance much to Mark’s wrath. It seems to be Mark who is most embodying the seven deadly sins theme!*

*Close to midnight with most of the housemates well past the point of no return in terms of intoxication they all vote for a dip in the Jacuzzi. Amelie heads inside first to wash off her body paint and then joins the others in the pool. Lindsay has stepped up her campaign to shed her tag of “frump”. Her costume is very revealing in the cleavage area and, with the alcohol freeing her inhibitions she rubs her chest in Mark’s face. Mark, drunk himself, is surprised but enjoys it. She then signals to Anna that “it’s time” to execute their “revenge”. “Just play along with me” says Lindsay to Anna and then she announces to the group; “Me and Anna have something to announce to you all. We are in love” The boys look gob smacked, Dave in particular, as the only one sober enough to take in the full ramifications of the revelation. Mark slurs “No way. If Anna doesn’t love the cock, I don’t know who does” Amelie looks intrigued and a little aroused. Anna jumps in; “Its true, it’s true”. She then promptly ranges up to Lindsay’s mouth and sticks her tongue into it. The two engage in a long French kiss. This shocks the boys to their foundations. The boys cheer and jeer. Amelie, distressed, quickly jumps out of the hot tub and heads off to bed. Roger, recalling his conversation with Lindsay earlier in the day, seems to be the only housemate with any clue as to what is going on.*

Dec 6th, 2003, 05:52 AM
Day 13

*After a torrid night, there will be much cleaning up to do – physical and emotional – in the morning. To compound the situation, an eviction is imminent*

*After Lindsay and Anna’s shocking revelation last night, the housemates had wasted little time in booting off to bed. The housemates were too sloshed to take note of Amelie’s premature departure to the bedroom or seek out a reason for it. Jan Mike was too smashed to question why Amelie was sobbing herself to sleep when he arrived in his bedroom. Lindsay and Roger are first to leave and when Lindsay gets back to the bedroom she bursts into laughter, realizing even in her intoxicated state what she had just done, “I’ll explain everything in the morning” she manages to slur out to Roger. Mark and Jan Mike then collapse into their respective beds. Anna is so wasted that she cannot make passage from the Jacuzzi to the bed. Dave, the only sober housemate, believing it his duty to look after a girl in such a state, takes her back to his room and into his double bed. She slurs out; “I love you Dave” on the way*

*The housemates awake quite late and with hangovers (except for Dave). Big Brother had announced that the hot water had been turned off long ago, but the housemates don’t seem to care. Mark is the first to emerge from his bedroom, and now realizing these could be his last hours in the house and after last night’s dramatic events he disregards the “clothes on” pact, shedding his gear in preparation for an early morning skinny dip to sober himself up. Hearing the rustling, and unable to sleep after everything that had gone on last night, Dave slips into the living room to join Mark and stops short after seeing his housemate naked. Looking him up and down, Dave laughs; “Holy fuck, you weren’t lying about your chooch were you! That’s a weapon of mass destruction”. Marks smiles; “Told ya mate. It does tricks too! Hey have you seen Anna? She’s not in bed this morning”. Dave, not wanting to cause more friction, looks blank “No… no I haven’t”. Moving across to the Blue Bedroom Door, Mark looks inside , “maybe she wondered into the wrong bedroom” he says. Then looking in he sees Anna curled up in David’s bed. Dave expects an explosion as Mark walks toward him stoney faced, pleading, “Nothing happened man”. When Mark reaches him he does indeed explode – with laughter – patting Dave on the back, as if resigned to never getting with Anna, “At least one of us is getting some”. Hearing the commotion just outside the bedroom door, Anna emerges from the bedroom next and seeing Mark’s phallus gasps “WOW!” Mark responds nonplussed; “What are you wowing about?” Anna attempts to cover up the titillating affect seeing Mark’s body in its entirety had had on her, “You broke the pact!” she giggles. Mark laughs; “Yep I guess I did.” After an uncomfortable pause he says; “Well I was about to have a swim ten minutes ago so I’m going now, if you two want to join me you are most welcome”. With that he turns on his heel, bounds through the living room door (appendage flopping along the way) and then leaps into the pool. Dave and Anna exchange looks and then Anna says; “You don’t mind if I go join him, do you?” Dave laughs, “No, of course not”*

*In the yellow bedroom Lindsay and Roger have awoken and are discussing last night’s events. “I understand that it was a joke” says Roger, “But why?” Lindsay then explains of how her and Anna had over heard the boys talking about them on Wednesday night and decided to have a little bit of fun with it; “I still can’t believe I did it” Lindsay says, blushing. “Blame on the alcohol” says Roger cheekily*

*Anna had stripped down to join Mark nude in the pool. Mark and Anna are laughing and frolicking together. Anna kisses Mark on the cheek, “Your so cute. I love you.” Mark is not going to take her too seriously; “Really? Well what about David, and Jan Mike and….Lindsay”. He cracks up laughing. “Well Jan Mike and Dave are just good friends. Especially Jan Mike. We are just soul mates. But there is no chemistry there, at least not from my end. But opposites attract, I guess that’s why I fell in love with Lindsay” she says playfully, rolling her eyes. “But you are my man, I just hope we don’t get separated tonight”. After two weeks of foxing the two finally engage in a passionate kiss. Dave is watching from the kitchen window while enjoying his cornflakes and sighs to himself; “Isn’t that Sweet!”*

*Amelie has submitted to see the Big Brother psychiatrist, she is finding life in the house at the moment very tough. Unfortunately the psychiatrist will not be available until tomorrow. Amelie and Jan Mike join Dave in the kitchen, but Amelie is not giving away anything to her fellow housemates, even when they probe her to find out what was wrong. “I just hope I am the one leaving tonight, I just don’t want to be here anymore” she says*

Dec 6th, 2003, 12:10 PM
Update: Mark has been evicted with 42 % of the vote. Lindsay and Amelie both received 29 %.

Thanks a lot Aaron for passing this off on to me  :p

Basically this thread is a FANTASY thread.

There are currently 6 housemates remaining in the FICTITIOUS BB house which is comprised of ATP and WTA players and each day there is a story about what is going on in the house (written by me ;) )

Each week a set of judges (board members) nominate one of the housemates to be evicted and those with the highest number of nominations are then put to a public vote. So far Jelena and Mark have been voted out of the BB house.

Hope that helps a bit :p

Day 14

*Mark’s eviction has made a big impact on the dynamics of the house. As one of the most domineering figures - what psychiatrists would term the Alpha-Male of the household - the wash-up from his eviction includes a personal revaluation for each character of their respective positions in the house*

*The eviction has had a particularly heavy effect on Anna’s conscience, who is beginning to wonder whether her selfish ways are preventing her from forming real and lasting relationships, in the Big Brother compound and in the real world. Her and Jan Michael are both pool side lapping up the early morning sun and working on their tans. Jan Mike is now attired in his swimming trunks following the expiration of the task last night, and after having access to their wardrobes restored. Perhaps she is looking to the wrong person for a deep and meaningful on this topic considering that Jan Mike is harboring a flame for Anna, while she sees their relationship as strictly platonic. She tells him; “You know what? I think I have a real problem with people. I was attracted to Mark from the very start, but I had to play games” she pauses then says softly, “Always little games. And now he’s gone”. A tear escapes down her cheek. Jan Mike thinks about saying what is really on his mind but then decides against it; “You know…. your tan is looking great”. As if forgetting about Mark completely, Anna’s mind turns back to her tan, “Oh I don’t know my bikini line needs a lot more work!” she says as she hoists her bikini top up to demonstrate her pale skin and then the two engage in an extensive conversation about the best way to ensure an even tan*

*Roger, Lindsay and Dave are inside discussing Mark’s absence over a fresh batch of Lindsay’s chocolate brownies. Dave quips; “Well Lindsay, now that Mark’s gone, I guess you have Anna all to yourself” Lindsay blushes then looking out the window decides to make light of her embarrassment; “I don’t know, it looks like Jan Mike is looking to fill Mark’s place”. The three laugh. Then Lindsay takes the opportunity to laud her friend; “Roger was the smartest one of all you men…he never got lured into her web.” David feigns outrage; “Me? Lured into her web? Never.” Roger laughs; “I could have sworn that she didn’t sleep in our bedroom after the party. I wonder where she was? Not with you, in your double bed I guess”. Dave smiles “Well maybe. Anyway how can you not fall for her? What are you? Gay?”. This remark turns Lindsay’s mind to Amelie, “She isn’t out of bed yet is she? I’m worried about her. Something is bothering her. She looked really shaken up about the eviction”. Just then Amelie bursts out of the bedroom and then disappears just as quickly into the diary room slamming the door behind her. The three exchange worried glances*

*When Anna and Jan Mike join the other three for lunch, the discussion turns to finding out what is wrong with Amelie, who following her session with the BB psychiatrist had disappeared back into the bedroom. Anna pipes up; “Its basic problem solving….we have to go straight to the source” The other housemates are taken aback by Anna’s intelligent insight, staring at her open mouthed, but she quickly ruins any illusions they may have had about her; “I think it might be her wardrobe…there is not enough pink in there at all. And those tank tops….”. The other housemates all sigh. Then Dave has a revelation; “She ran off…at the party. After…..you and Lindsay kissed. That’s the source”. “But why would that offend her so much?” asks Roger “Yes, why didn’t she just find it arousing like the rest of us?” quips Dave. Jan Mike then interjects, remembering his experience with Amelie in the blue house; “I think I can talk her around. Give me a chance.”

hey :wavey:

No i don't decide who goes out :p. I certainly wouldn't have chosen the first two, they were really interesting characters ;). Every week a set of judges (members of the board) send me nominations of who they want out of the house. The three housemates who receive the most pts from the judges are then "nominated". I then post another thread detailing who has been nominated for the particular week and then EVERYONE is free to send me a PM telling me who they want out of the house. Last year it was alot easier because I ran a poll, but that was not possible this year because I did not have the option to "hide poll results". Without hiding the poll results the whole game would lack suspense.

And please read last years version. IMO it is better than this years (at least so far)

Yay, Lindsay wasn't voted off. :)

Oh, cheer up Amelie. I was about to say some really mean things about Jan-Mike and him being a bad friend to her, but no need after that last sentence. ;)

Day 15

*Amelie had rebuffed all attempts to communicate with her throughout the remainder of Sunday telling Jan Mike; “I just need to be alone….I need some time just to come to terms with some things”. Amelie could hear the other housemates laughing and playing charades in the living room, a game which Anna demonstrated an immense talent for, but their happiness and togetherness only darkens her mood and her isolation. To make matters worse she is not sleeping well either – feeling too alone, too uncomfortable to let her mind rest. When all the other housemates have retired to bed , Amelie who hasn’t eaten all day sneaks out of bed to raid the fridge, hoping to find some of Lindsay’s leftover brownies. Hearing the rustling out in the kitchen, Lindsay, uncomfortable with the fact that she may have caused Amelie’s breakdown, she gets out of bed and sneaks into the living room, she can see Amelie out on the veranda feasting on her brownies and star gazing, her eyes glazed over. Lindsay watches her for a while then steps out onto the Veranda; “Nice, huh?”. “Yes, they’re lovely” says Amelie not looking at her. “It was the kiss wasn’t it? I’m sorry it was insensitive. But you see…” “Don’t worry about it” says Amelie, “I just never should have come in here. I thought I could handle it. I thought I was at peace with who I was. But being in here I have never felt so gay. Its like everyone….even when they don’t say anything, I am still the odd one out, I just feel so alone.” Lindsay moves over to Amelie, puts her arm around her; “We are all learning. It is our problem, not yours” “But it IS my problem. I’m the one who has to deal with it, who has to feel alone. I guess I was naïve to think that I could come in here and people could just accept my sexuality and move on” “Give us a chance to” says Lindsay. “Why don’t people give me a chance? I mean I have been nominated every week. It is obvious I am not liked here, people don’t want me here anymore” “But the public have kept you here…you must be doing something right” Amelie smiles; “Maybe, but I just can’t handle the negativity in here. It’s suffocating me”. Lindsay looks into her eyes; “Look at me Amelie. Sometimes I can feel myself going crazy in here to. But then I remember that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we can only make the most of it while it lasts. Don’t be wishing the days away.” Amelie looks away, feels her eyes well up; “Oh look at me now I’m just one of those stupid girls who cries on reality TV programs” “We all are!” smiles Lindsay then yawns, “Well I’m going back to bed, think about what I said though. Lean on us all a little”*

*Anna and Dave are first to hit the showers in the morning. Anna, no longer bound by the yellow house “clothes on” pact feels free to shed all her clothes saying; “It was so difficult washing myself with my bikinis on. This makes life so much easier”. She then gets Dave to wash her back, a task he has no qualms about performing; “Anything for a beautiful lady”*

*When the housemates convene over breakfast it is Amelie who is missing again. Jan Mike voices his concern; “This is not healthy for her…locked in her room all day”. Lindsay then tells of their chat during the night and of how Amelie is feeling like the odd one out among the housemates. “We must ensure then, that she doesn’t get nominated this week” says Jan Mike. “And how do you propose to do that?” says Lindsay. Anna interjects, “I’m going to vote for who I like, she is ruining all our fun with her amateur dramatics”. Roger, whose frustration with rude housemates had yet to be manifest in any of his actions, for the first time in the house takes a stand for what he believe is right snapping at her; “Oh please, Anna we all know who the actress is around here and it isn’t Amelie. Sometimes we have to stop thinking about ourselves for a few minutes and think about other people. Just once in your life can’t you do that?” Anna begins to tear up and lashes out when she’s angry; “Well you will be getting my nomination points too, you are the most boring man I ever met” she then storms off to her bedroom. Meanwhile, Amelie has emerged from the bedroom, cheery in tone, “good morning all”. Dave rolls his eyes; “This is a mad house”.*

*Then an announcement; “Hello Housemates, this is Big Brother. Anna, Lindsay and Jan Michael to the Diary Room please”. Anna emerges from her bedroom and the other two leave the congregation in the living room. “Housemates, I was very disappointed with some conduct which took place in the living room, minutes ago. It is Big Brother’s belief that some words exchanged in the conversation bordered on collusion” Under Big Brother rules housemates are strictly prohibited from discussing nominations – these three had clearly breached these rules. This time its Lindsay’s turn to shed a tear, fearing that she is being portrayed as a renegade in the house, after her earlier warning for speaking about past Big Brother series; “But we were just….” She stammers. “There are no excuses Lindsay. Big Brother will review the tape and all three of you will be assigned a punishment. That will be all.” The three move dejectedly from the diary room.*

*In the afternoon the weekly task is announced. Big Brother's cruel sense of humour is on display. He announces that the task is a ballroom dancing competition, with the finals to be held on Friday. He supplies an instruction video, and a CD. This seems simple enough, however like with all tasks the trickiest part is in the detail. He announces the pairings; Roger and Anna, Jan Mike and Lindsay, David and Amelie. With Roger and Anna just having a tiff, and David and Amelie with bad blood from the Blue House that has contributed to Amelie’s less than stable state of mind this will surely be an interesting week*

*Amelie has offered to cook dinner, and Jan Mike, pleased but a little disturbed at Amelie’s sudden turn around. “Are you ok?”. “I’m getting on with it…” Amelie sighs, “What else can I do? I have to deal with it. I just have to learn…to be comfortable within myself again and then nothing else can touch me”*

*As if there have not been enough bombshells for one day, nominations are announced after dinner. Roger, Jan Michael and Amelie, yet again. With all the discussion this morning these nominations take on new meaning. Jan Michael, always Anna’s strongest ally in the house, is more than a little dark on his friend who he feels must have nominated Amelie given her earlier comments. Roger has to deal with the prospect of eviction for the first time. Amelie is again swamped by feelings of rejection by her fellow housemates. Lindsay, although pleased to have avoided nomination is concerned for Roger, as well as upset about Big Brother’s scolding of her. Anna is just downright stroppy, Roger's comments forcing her to revaluate her ways, just as Mark's eviction had. And Dave well he, like everyone else, is not having much fun at all. The last thing they need now is a loud knocking on the store room door; “What the fuck now? snaps Anna. All the housemates look at the door in trepidation as the clock strikes midnight*

Day 16

*The knocks became louder and came more quickly now. Then Anna snaps; “Well is anyone going to get it?” Then she folds her arms angrily and says; ‘There are no gentleman in this house”. Amelie gets up and moves towards the door, Anna then bursts out laughing, as Amelie had responded to the call for “gentleman”. The other housemates all shoot daggers at her. Amelie just grimaces, as she makes haste towards the door, opening it she encounters a man barely her height, and barely half as wide, with a cute, boyish face and carrying a suit case like the ones the others had brought into the house over two weeks ago. He extends his arm and says in a French accent, “Hi, I’m Arnaud. Can I stay for a while?”. There is something about this individual, perhaps the fact that he shares her patronage, that immediately puts Amelie at ease, however she has little time to dwell on this feeling as at the sight of the new arrival, the other housemates move swiftly to the door like moths to a flame, particularly Anna who sees this as a fresh piece of man to feast on. While giving him a welcoming hug she wastes no time pinching his butt to which Arnaud smiles cheekily and says “Bongior”*

*Arnaud had brought with him a bottle of expensive champagne, however just as Dave uncorks the bottle, comes another knock at the door, this time from the store room at the opposite side of the house. Anna, believing there may be another hunk behind the door, wastes no time jumping from the seat on the couch that she had taken up next to Arnaud and rushing to the storeroom door. She swings it open eagerly, but then is stopped short in her tracks when confronted with a leggy, extremely slender girl with a sweet smile adorning a fresh, pretty face. The girl extends her hand and utters the name; “Daniela”. But Anna is in no mood to play nice with a girl she sees as a potential rival, gives her a limp hand shake, announces her name assertively (bordering on rudely) and then brusquely turns on her heal, joining the other housemates on the couch. She leaves Daniela to make her own way into the living room, where the four boys quickly bounce to their feet at the sight of the new beauty. Roger is particularly enchanted with her as she kisses him on the cheek. Daniela hands over a plate of caviar and crackers to the housemates to complement Arnaud’s champagne. When all have said their “hello” Lindsay comments to Anna; “Oh she’s beautiful isn’t she?” “I guess so if you like that anorexic ‘I haven’t eaten for three months’ look… and please those shoes with that dress, she has no idea”. Lindsay simply rolls her eyes, Jan Mike hears the comment and makes a note that he would have to talk with Anna later on. Meanwhile Amelie disappears into the kitchen looking rather pale and Jan Mike heads in after her. In the absence of any substantial bonds between the girls in the house, Jan Mike, against his will, is increasingly being cast as biggest “gal pal” to both Anna and Amelie*

*”I’m ready to go” Amelie says. “What do you mean….to bed?” “No, I’ve had enough of this…this house….I just want out”. “But things were looking up weren’t they…just this afternoon you told me…” “That was this afternoon, since then I’ve been nominated again and then…” “Did Arnaud or Daniela do something?” “I just can’t deal with new people now….can’t go through the same cycle of acceptance…I saw the way Daniela looked at me”. “You’re being oversensitive” “Maybe, Maybe…If I felt that everyone wanted me here I could stand it, but I just don’t feel that…..” Bemoans Amelie. Just then Anna, fed up with the incessant drooling over Daniela by the other boys in the living room storms into the kitchen; “What’s going on here?” she questions. Amelie explodes; “I’m leaving. The macho-freak is leaving! Happy now?” She then heads off to the diary room. Jan Mike looks at Anna, “Girlfriend, we gotta have a talk tomorrow, you hearing me?” Anna, frustrated at being put on the backburner by everyone, says “whatever”, strides into her bedroom and slams the door behind her*

*In the Diary Room, Amelie asks Big Brother to be let out of the house – all are permitted to leave the compound at any time – “I want to leave the Big Brother house” she says, tears streaming down her cheeks. Big Brother informs her that it is customary for housemates to be given the night to “sleep on” the decision before deciding if they want to leave for good. Amelie takes BB’s advice and heads to bed.*

*All of this has occurred in the early hours of the morning. It is well past 3 AM before all housemates are in bed. Daniela and Roger after talking through the night, are the last to retire to bed with Daniela taking Mark’s old bed. Lindsay whispers to Roger that she hadn't seen him this happy in a whole two weeks. Arnaud had earlier taken David’s old bed (David had taken Jelena’s double bed)*

*With the late night, the housemates don’t awake until well past midday, with Amelie being called to the Diary Room for her final decision. No one but Jan Mike and Anna knew that Amelie were this close to leaving the house for good, so when Amelie informs Big Brother that she has decided to leave the house , Big Brother gives her the option of breaking it to the rest of the housemates or if he should call all the housemates into the diary room and inform them himself. Amelie asks Big Brother if she could break the news to the other housemates*

*Meanwhile Arnaud is wasting no time getting to know his new housemates, he especially appears to be hitting it off with Dave who is very pleased to have another person in the house who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is willing to have a little fun. Arnaud, realising how sour Anna is, has suggested that they make her a special drink – freshly squeezed lemon juice. Anna, is in the backyard talking to Jan Michael who is telling her not to just complain about being selfish as she was on Sunday but to act on it; “You’re exactly like me. We act before we think. Which can be good, but it can cause some damage in here”. Anna seems like she is coming around but then Arnaud appears, a cheeky smile on his face and glass of lemon juice; “Here you go my dear”. Dave is watching from the kitchen window. Anna is delighted “You are so sweet”. Then Anna takes a sip of the drink and quickly spits it out. Dave, inside, and Arnaud both burst out laughing. Furious, Anna screams, “No Jan Mike, I am going to be who I am. I’m not going to be some fake!” she then pushes Arnaud into the pool. Once in the pool, fully clothed, he just laughs – “I think she likes me!” Dave comes out to join his friend, jumping in fully clothed as well – “Now we are both fools” “But happy fools” insists Arnaud.*

*Big Brother calls all the housemates to the living room, and Amelie emerges from the bedroom with suitcase in hand. The housemates know what this means. Amelie informs them that within 10 minutes she will be leaving the BB house. Jan Mike and Lindsay both move to comfort Amelie. Roger and Dave look gob smacked, Daniela confused and Anna completely indifferent and a little bored as she rolls her eyes. Then amongst the confusion, Arnaud who had shared a moment of mutual respect with Amelie at the door, puts himself on the line for her; “If Amelie is going, I’m going too”. After a brief moment of shock amongst the other housemates, Dave backs up his new mate. Jan Michael follows, then Lindsay. Seeing Lindsay’s commitment Roger gets to his feet too, to support his best friend, then Daniela supports her love interest. This leaves only Anna remaining on the couch, having not expressed her support for Amelie. For the first time in a while she is the centre of attention as the other housemates wait with bated breath for her commitment. They urge her with their eyes and she relishes the attention. Getting to her feet she announces; “Well I’m not staying here by myself, if Amelie goes, I’ll leave to” The other housemates sigh with relief, Amelie looks touched and smiles but will she stay???*

Day 17

*After witnessing such an emotional display of support for her, and receiving the affirmation that she yearned for, Amelie was persuaded to stay last night by the actions of the others. However the arrival of the intruders and the drama over Amelie has robbed the housemates of much needed time for practice in preparation for Friday night’s dance competition. Wednesday is dedicated to the learning of dance steps. The newest pairing in the competition is Daniela and Arnaud, to go alongside the odd couples that Big Brother had determined on Monday*

*With eight members in the house this is the largest population, and now all beds are full for the first time since the joining of the houses. Anna, aside from during her performance yesterday in attempting to persuade Amelie to stay that must surely have rivalled any performance in modern theatre, is feeling increasingly frustrated by the lack of attention being paid to her. Rolling around in bed at around 9 AM, she reflects on her feelings. Mark had provided a constant source of flattery – however much it was guised in less than flattering prose – by simply always bothering to exchange insults with her. She had felt coveted, sexy and in control. With Mark’s departure, and perhaps more importantly the arrival of Daniela who is not only physically attractive but appears to lack Anna’s sharp tongue, she has felt increasingly second rate. With Jan Mike nothing more than a good friend, Dave and Arnaud too “immature” (especially after their stunt yesterday) to be attractive to her and Roger seeing her as a demonic presence there was little left for her to do. Plus Daniela was all over Roger. “Daniela, that cow!” Anna thinks to herself, as she looks across the room at Daniela’s sleeping face, flushing red at the sight of her. No longer able to contain herself, Anna gets herself out of bed and heads into the living room. While she is the first out of the yellow bedroom the rest of the house is already bustling. Arnaud is busy preparing an authentic French Breakfast of crepes. Their sweet aroma hits her as she walks out of her bedroom. “What’s cooking?” Anna says to him as she mossies into the kitchen in her skimpy night wear. “You want to try?” Arnaud says cheekily holding out a sample on a plate. Anna is suspicious, “This isn’t another trick is it?” “Would I trick you?” Arnaud says with a cheekiness but a sincerity that swallows Anna whole. “This is delicious” she says as she takes a bite. Perhaps Arnaud was worth some further probing, a man who could cook definitely demonstrated some level of maturity. The smell has wafted into the bedrooms and awoken Dave from his slumber. With hair standing on end, Dave walks into the kitchen rubbing his stomach; “Something smells good” Anna rolls her eyes at the fact that Dave had ruined their private moment and turns to look out the window, Amelie and Jan Mike have returned to their fitness regimen, using the pool to swim laps. She turns to Dave who has taken up a comfortable spot on a kitchen stool; “Weren’t you planning to get in shape by joining their routine?” Dave puts on his most serious face; “Oh didn’t you know? I am on a diet. A SEE- FOOD diet. When I SEE food I EAT it”. Arnaud finds this hilarious and the boys break up laughing at her expense for the second time in two days. Anna just pokes her tongue out; “Everyone’s a comedian these days”. Seeing Roger and Daniela exit the bedroom hand in hand only seems to add to her distress. Daniela can almost feel the ice from Anna’s stare.*

*It is past midday before the housemates settle down to watch the dance instruction video. Lindsay, displaying the skills that have seen her rise to prominent positions in WTA player representation, organises the living room so that there is room for a dance floor, and then announces to the housemates that if they are going to put in a respectable effort on Friday their would be five 3 hour workshops; two on Wednesday, two on Thursday and one on Friday Morning. Any additional practice would have to be done on the initiative of the couples. Dave nicknames her “Sergeant Lindsay”. With the personality clash in each pairing (perhaps apart from the new Arnaud-Daniela Duo because they don’t know each other well enough yet to despise each other!) it is going to be a battle of attrition to see who can stand spending time with eachother for long enough to win the prize. After watching the tape for the first time, Jan Mike is prepared to walk out, claiming “This dance is like sooooooooooo last century”. Anna agrees with him. Daniela disagrees; “I think classical dancing is romantic” she says gazing at Roger. “Oh Please” says Anna, “Come on Roger we have to practice. I didn’t come in here to be a loser”. She drags Roger off the couch and out of Dani’s sight*

*Nearing the end of the first practise session the state of play is disarray. Jan Michael, despite his original objection to the style of dance, has thrown himself whole-heartedly into the task – hamming it up, utilising the dancing he had done in his childhood years and dancing like a true 1960’s diva. The only trouble is that this is not a solo dance competition and he seems to have forgotten that Lindsay is his partner. Like Lindsay, Amelie is not getting the chance to demonstrate whether she can dance or not because Dave is constantly stepping on her toes. Anna, despite her desire to win, has her mind – and eyes – on something other than the steps – giving death stares to Daniela across the room. Daniela, who with Arnaud, forms the only pair producing any fluent dance moves is getting to know her fellow intruder; “What is Anna’s problem with me?” she says despairingly “She is probably jealous of your beauty” “My beauty? Look at her she’s a walking barbie doll” “And Jan Mike is Ken, no?” Dani giggles. Arnaud then says seriously; “Yes, Anna is beautiful, but you are a natural”. “You’re sweet” says Dani and kisses him on the cheek, “And how are you fitting in here?” “I’m going as well as expected…its hard being the new boy” “Tell me about it. But Roger had made me very welcome. He has been great!”*

*As the sun sets, Lindsay is in the kitchen preparing dinner. She is joined by Roger. “She’s wonderful” he announces. “Who? Anna?” Lindsay says sarcastically. “No Dani, she is just like….WOW!” “Yes she seems very nice” Lindsay agrees, happy that Roger has finally found a girl worthy of his affections in the house. Before their conversation can go any further, in comes Arnaud. Since entering the house, he has proved himself to be straight shooter and he gets straight to the point on this one; “Hey you guys, I know this might be an odd question…but….is Jan Michael gay?” Lindsay and Roger laugh, then Roger pats Arnaud on the back saying; “Why don’t you ask him that question yourself?”*

*While all the housemates thoroughly enjoy Lindsay’s dinner, Dave wastes no time lauding his new friend Arnaud’s culinary skills; “Lindsay you have been number one for a long time, but there is a rising star who may just be your match”. Arnaud and Lindsay agree to have a “bake off” in the near future.*

*Before the second practice session, Big Brother has some house keeping matters to deal with. Lindsay, Anna and Jan Mike are called to the Diary Room to be handed their punishment for their collusion earlier in the week. BB tells them that they will be called on to perform tasks for Big Brother in the coming days*

*The twilight practice is scarcely better than the afternoon session. This time, Anna takes Roger to task over his attraction to Daniela. “What do you see in her?” “She’s just….” But Anna is in no mood to allow him to explain himself and answers for him; “She’s just a tall skinny skank. Look at her cuddling up to Arnaud, she has forgotten you already. And she is a skank with bad fashion sense at that” But Roger had built up much courage over the past two weeks (or perhaps a lower tolerance for rudeness), and having witnessed Arnaud’s successful stand for what he believed in last night, he was not going to let Anna get away with this. For the second time in a week he outbursts at Anna; “Skank? I don’t think so. Don’t be slurring her name like that. The only skank here is you” “Why Roger, you….stupid beast. Rot in hell!” Anna screams and, in what is becoming a clichéd exit, she stomps off to her room. Daniela who had heard Anna’s verbal assault on her character begins to tear up and nestles herself into Roger’s warm chest*

*Before the other housemates head to bed, Arnaud offers to make all the housemates hot chocolates, “My mother always said it helps you sleep better” he says. The kitchen, increasingly becoming the focal point of house conversation, becomes the scene of another heart to heart when Amelie joins Arnaud. “I haven’t got that chance to say thank-you for yesterday yet, but thank-you “ she says. Arnaud grins; “It was my duty. I was just doing what was right for my fellow French…person”. “I’m so happy you came” she says, then gives him a truly European hug.*

*When all the housemates have retired to bed, Anna, too furious to sleep despite the fact she had retired to bed about an hour before the others, sees Roger slip off his T-Shirt before getting into bed. “Boy that is one fine body” she thinks to herself*

Day 18

*Apart from Anna’s crusade against Daniela, the intruders have fitted into the house as if they were original housemates. In fact, the “new blood” has reinvigorated the house, with not only new bonds being formed between the intruders and the original housemates, but also between original housemates who have not yet formed close relationships*

*Early in the morning, Lindsay is out on the deck enjoying an early morning coffee with Jan Mike as they agreed to meet at 8.30 AM before the others got up in order to get a head start on day two of practice. Jan Mike did not dare to disagree with Lindsay’s request given the regimental manner with which she had organised the training sessions yesterday. They had completed their session without anyone else knowing and now they were relaxing, while the others played a game of basketball. Discussion falls to the intruders when she says; “I’m so glad they’ve come. It just reminded us that there actually is another world out there. This experience was starting to feel a little surreal but now I got…a reality check”. Jan Michael seems to be taking it on another level; “Oh yeah, like, me and Anna were becoming disillusioned with the lack of fashion consciousness in here. But Arnaud has brought a whole new look to the house, so stylish, so chic. And Daniela has potential”. Lindsay rolls her eyes; “And Arnaud is not too hard on the eye either” says Lindsay jokingly. “Oh no, he’s cute, very cute” says Jan Mike. Lindsay gasps, was Arnaud right about J-M after all? Jan Mike, laughs at Lindsay’s expression then says; “What I’m not allowed to recognise beauty in a man?” “Oh no, by all means” says Lindsay, giggling to herself. Meanwhile Roger, Dave, Arnaud and Amelie have just finished a very intensive game of two on two Basketball and when Roger and Amelie head inside to get a drink, Dave and Arnaud go over to join Lindsay and Jan Mike who are both sun baking. Arnaud itching to ask his burning question since last night wastes no time getting to the point with Jan Mike; “I have to say this. I just wanted to ask, you know, with your friendship with all the girls, your great dancing, your fashion sense, you are very in touch with your feminine side. I was just wondering if you were gay?” Dave erupts at his new friends frankness, even though he had never doubted Jan Mike’s sexuality before. Jan Mike laughs, thinks about denying it straight out, then decides there would be a heap more fun in playing along with it, as well as the possibility of attracting a whole new legion of gay fans which in a nomination week could be very useful. He puts on the campest voice he can muster and says; “Boyfriend, I can swing both ways”. Although Lindsay, Dave and Arnaud each laugh it off, severely doubting the honesty of Jan Mike’s confession, the possibility lingers in their mind that this indeed could be true. Does the sexual innuendo never die in the BB house?*

*This scene is all well and good however the six housemates who had spent the morning out in the yard had left Daniela and Anna alone inside – a situation with a nuclear capability given yesterday’s events. Inevitably a cat fight had broken out due to Anna misinforming Daniela about a late night pash that she had enjoyed with Roger early in the house and of how her rejection of Roger had led to him “settling” for second best. Amelie and Roger walk straight in on the fight. Anna has Daniela in a headlock while Daniela is pulling Anna’s hair from her head. Amelie and Roger quickly move to break up the fight, with Roger naturally taking hold of Daniela and Amelie grabbing Anna. It takes them a while to calm the two girls down. Hearing the commotion, the other four pile into the living room. Arnaud and Dave both accuse Roger and Amelie of being “party poopers” by breaking up the fight before they got to see it. Roger takes Daniela out into the herb garden, a place where he had often cleared his head during the past three weeks. He asks what had happened but Daniela does not want to speak about it. Respecting her privacy he backs off but remains anxious to find out what happened*

*Anna is called to the Diary Room and told that her punishment for her misdemeanour earlier in the week would be to cook dinner. She has not yet cooked in the previous 17 days in the house. When she informs the others of her punishment, Dave groans, “Oh Big Brother, do we have to be punished as well?”*

*The afternoon practice session is one of the brighter points of the day as the housemates seem to be making significant progress on the dancefloor. David has improved markedly, well at least he is managing to perform the steps without treading on Amelie’s toes, however mechanical. Jan Mike seems to have realised that Lindsay is there and is managing to teach her some rhythm. Arnaud and Daniela are going great guns and a firming as favourites for the title of dancing champions. Outside of the dancing, the scene on the dance floor is quite comical. Jan Michael is making seductive glances across the room at Arnaud. Arnaud is attempting to dodge Jan Mike’s glare. Daniela won’t make eye contact with Roger, who won’t even look at Anna, as he is still furious with her for what she has done to Daniela, even though he doesn’t know what that is. Anna meanwhile, is attempting to gain Roger’s attention and finally does with the line; “You want to know why she won’t look at you?”. Roger looks at her suspiciously, then she continues; “I found out her game. I confronted her. She was using you to gain popularity. Now she is so guilty she can’t even look at you”. Roger feels his blood boiling; “And why should I believe you?” Anna puts on her most innocent expression; “I was doing it for you. Because I really care about you. It should be us together.” Perhaps it was the fact that Daniela would not talk to him and he was desperate for an explanation or because Anna, the girl he had secretly coveted since the very first day in the house, was expressing interest in him, but Roger, against all rational thoughts, allows Anna’s explanation to linger in his mind. Will Anna’s attempt to play Daniela and Roger off against each other succeed?*

*Anna’s attempt at cooking dinner is an absolute disaster. Her meal is scarcely edible, so Amelie heads to the kitchen, pulls out some raw celery sticks and the housemates eat these. After Dinner, Big Brother calls all the housemates into the living room for an announcement. Until this time, the housemates had accepted that the intruders would both become permanent residents of the household but Big Brother is about to shatter this illusion.

*This piece of information rocks the house, perhaps more than any other announcement during the three weeks. This time tomorrow one of their new friends would be gone. Arnaud and Daniela exchange glances, for which one of them will tomorrow be the last dance?*

Day 19

*Each housemate is beset with nerves as the day of the performance dawns. While the majority of the housemates have had to endure the pressure of a Grand Slam final (all bar Jan Mike, Anna and Daniela), this is a totally different type of nervousness as here the housemates are completely out of their comfort zones. Added to this is the prospect that within the next 48 hours the fate of five of the eight current residents of the household hangs in the balance.*

*The Daniela-Roger-Anna love triangle is the most enthralling subject of the day. Daniela is playing her cards very close to her chest as she realises that she may only have a few hours left in the house and does not want to be involved in any deep conflicts. If she was here tomorrow then maybe getting the truth out in the open, confronting Roger with what Anna had told her, might be worth all the trouble, but not now. Roger is confused. He doesn’t want to believe Anna’s tale of the events, and his head tells him not to, but he still can’t shake this feeling that Daniela, such a beautiful woman, would never be interested in him purely for romance. Their whole relationship had been too easy, their chemistry too convenient. And then there was Anna, where did she fit into all of this? Of course he was attracted to her, but after all they had been through could a romantic relationship with her ever work? Anna’s attraction to Roger is growing stronger. His willingness to confront her with her faults had demonstrated his truly masculine qualities to her. She is revelling in the fact that Roger and Daniela are no longer talking and sees this as her opportunity to get Roger for herself*

*While these three housemates seem to be operating in their own world, there is plenty of action going on elsewhere in the house. Jan Mike is really playing up to the seeds of bisexuality that he had sown in the garden yesterday. Lapping up the morning sunshine, Jan Michael asks Arnaud, who has become, like David, a subscriber to the fitness regimen put in place by Jan Mike and Amelie, to apply some sun tan cream to his back. Arnaud, takes this on face value and being the generally helpful person that he is assists his fellow housemate, but it is not long before Jan Mike begins to omit almost orgasmic noises as a response to Arnaud’s application of the lotion. This draws emphatic laughs from David, a very confused expression from Amelie and for the first time in the house an almost frightened expression from Arnaud. But then Arnaud seems to regain his confidence and is not going to be outfoxed by Jan-Mike in any mind games he might be playing. “Would you like some more?” he says sweetly. Jan Mike looks shocked but then says; “Well make sure its all done, I don’t want any burnt spots on my back. Peeling skin is just ugly!”. Amelie asks Dave what is going on; “You don’t want to know” says Dave and then encourages her to go inside with him. But she is too fascinated by the on goings in the backyard to do so.*

*Dave enters the kitchen with a huge smile on his face, and Lindsay, who after Anna’s hopeless attempt at food preparation yesterday has resumed control of the kitchen, asks him what he is smiling about. “This house,” he says “There is so much politics going on in here, everyone is a politician”. Lindsay asks him what he means to which he responds, “Everyone has a secret agenda, and no one is telling the truth. Look at them out there; Jan Michael is pretending to be gay, Arnaud is half believing it but is not convinced enough to let Jan Mike get away with it and neither is telling Amelie anything about it because they think it might offend her. And we won’t even talk about the three lovers – where are they now anyway?”. “In the shower I think” “Together?” Dave gasps. “I think so, but none of them are talking to eachother” says Lindsay. “Trust me, you don’t need no talking to get pleasure” jokes Dave. “Maybe life in here is more like a melodrama than politics then,” says Lindsay. Dave responds; “Aren’t they the same thing?” Dave then asks Lindsay for some help with his dance moves as he is really struggling; “I don’t want to make a fool of myself tonight”. After going through a few paces she encourages him; “You are not bad at this at all”. When Jan Mike enters from the yard he tells Lindsay that she is corrupting the competition by helping other pairings; “They should be doing their own practice” he says *

*It is not long before it is time for the competition to begin. BB, watching from above, will announce the winner after all have had their turn. Lindsay and Jan Mike are the first to take to the dance floor and their performance goes off without a hitch, their early morning practice sessions have obviously paid off! The only problem for the keen observer (which BB no doubt will be) is that Jan Mike has spent the whole time looking at his reflection in the living room windows and this has taken away from the aesthetic appeal of the performance. Next up are Amelie and David. David apologises before hand to all the housemates for how much he is going to suck. To everyone’s surprise, and David’s delight, Amelie and David are excellent and receive a rousing applause from all the other housemates, except Jan Mike who is pouting at Lindsay for having helped Dave in the afternoon. Arnaud and Daniela are up next. Their performance is exquisite. While Dave and Amelie’s was well executed but more workmanlike, the two intruders are both naturals and their dance is effortless and fluent. Roger and Anna are last. Despite Anna’s best intentions both had been distracted all week and it shows in their clumsy performance, with Anna appearing almost drunk and eventually, much to her disgust, tripping over David’s foot and straight into Arnaud’s lap mid dance. Arnaud laughs; “I never say no to a girl who likes to spend time between my legs”. Dave then gives him the thumbs up signal. Anna, furious that Roger hasn’t moved to help her up, gets herself up out of Arnaud’s lap, and goes to sit in the armchair farthest away from the others. Arnaud notes to Dave the similarity in Anna and Jan-Mike’s respective pouts – “Are they twins or what? That’s freaky!”. The competition is over. Dave and Amelie and Arnaud and Daniela are named the joint winners and are told that the reward will be a luxury lifestyle next week, including being waited on hand and foot by the losing housemates. Of course, one of the intruders will not be enjoying this as they will be gone. The question on the lips of every housemate now is “who will it be?”*

*Big Brother soon puts them out of their misery with an announcement that while expected, surprises them with its brusqueness;

“ITS TIME TO GO….Daniela. Congratulations Arnaud you are now a full housemate”

*The reaction of housemates to the announcement is diverse. Arnaud immediately moves to console Dani with a hug, not having time to think about the fact that he had been selected to stay. Anna pumps her fists and is looking the brightest she has in weeks as she gives Daniela an insincere hug. After the other housemates have had their turn, the last person for Dani to farewell is a tearful Roger, who she hugs whole-heartedly and then gives a kiss on the cheek; “Go back to Anna now if she wants you” are her parting words; “We will see each other when we get out. No hard feelings”. This leaves Roger baffled, but there is no time for further explanation. Dani disappears through the same storage room door she had arrived from and her journey is ended. Anna moves over to Roger and just when he is about to ask her a question she put her finger to his lips, whispers “shhhhhhhhh” then moves her face parallel to his, their lips moving closer together until they meet. Did any hope that Anna’s scheming ways would be revealed depart along with Daniela?*

Day 20

*With all the excitement and drama the intruders brought to the house, it has been easy for the housemates to forget that the weekly eviction is still imminent. However with Daniela’s departure came the realization that for one of three original housemates – Amelie, Roger or Jan Mike – this too, will be the last 24 hours*

*After Daniela’s eviction, Anna had wasted no time sinking her claws into Roger. Although at the outset of his time in the house he had vowed not to become involved with her, he had never stopped coveting her and now here she was pursuing him. In his vulnerable state of mind he was in no condition to fend off her feminine wiles and when she sneaks into his bed for some late night loving she proves irresistible. Although the Big Brother cameras are unable to see beneath the blankets, Anna certainly does seem to spend an inordinate amount of time with her head underneath the covers as Roger writhes around in apparent pleasure*

*While enjoying a hearty breakfast of Lindsay’s pancakes, Amelie and Jan Michael are discussing the nomination and eviction process with Arnaud and David. Arnaud, having survived last night’s intruder showdown has some first hand and recent experience, Amelie and Jan Mike, on their third and second nominations respectively are relative veterans. Only Dave has not experienced the harrowing experience of being in a position to be ousted when the evicted housemate is announced. Arnaud is just beginning to come to terms with the fact he is now an official housemate. Amelie says; “I feel like I got a second lease on life when I chose to stay….I don’t want to leave”. Jan Mike is less subtle; “I’ll be so pissed if I leave…I came here to win and to show I’m more than just a pretty boy….I have substance too. Besides I am having such a bad hair day, I can’t go out into the world looking like this. Like…ewwwwwww”. By now Arnaud himself is having a little fun with Jan Michael’s earlier admission that he is bisexual “Honey, I think you’re looking mighty fine this morning”. Jan Mike, once the aggressor in this game is now a little scared himself; had Arnaud asked him if he was gay because he was interested in him? Was he now hitting on him? Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive! *

*Lindsay and Roger have slipped into the garden for a deep and meaningful. Out in their favorite meeting place, the herb garden, Roger is pouring his heart out to Lindsay, theirs has been the most enduring friendship in the house. “I think I made a big mistake last night with Anna” “You didn’t look like you were pushing her away” “It’s Anna, no hot blooded man is going to push her away. She’s…well the perfect girl. She’s every boy’s dream girl” “So what’s the problem, then?” asks Lindsay, a little perplexed. “It’s Daniela,” he said “There was something so pure about her, about our relationship, there was a spark between us. Then when she left she said to me “go back to Anna”. This confused me because I never had been with Anna until last night. What did she mean?” Lindsay looks pensive; “Something has interested me the last couple of days. Why did your relationship with Dani cool off so suddenly?" “Anna told me that Dani had all but confessed to using me for good publicity”. Lindsay’s eye brow pricks up; “Leave this with me. I smell a rat, a sleek blonde headed rat” Roger’s face then turns suddenly terrified; “I can’t leave tonight…I can’t. I can barely face the mirror at the moment, let alone the world!”. Lindsay takes his hand; “Everything will be Okay”*

*Jan Mike and Lindsay are called into the Diary Room. They are told that their week, starting from tomorrow, acting as servants to the three dance competition victors – Amelie, Dave and Arnaud – will be sufficient punishment for their earlier indiscretion and they would not be punished further.*

*After the three nominees have packed their bags and made their video wills, Jan Mike and Anna find themselves in front of a mirror – surprise, surprise – with Anna gelling his hair in preparation for his possible eviction. The two soon descend into a gossip session. “Anna, do you think Arnaud could be gay?” Anna laughs, “Ummmm no way, lets just say that when I found myself in his lap yesterday he was a little bit excited....and it was straight guy excited. What makes you think that?” “Oh don’t worry about it” says Jan Mike. Anna smiles randily; “Well Roger sure ain’t!” Jan Mike instantly knows that something has gone on between them; “You little vixen” he says.*

Day 21

*The house takes on a somber and pensive mood this morning as Roger’s eviction cuts to the core of the household. Lindsay's relationship with Roger was far beyond the raw physical nature of the supposedly “romantic” relationships that have been the shooting stars of this Big Brother series – burning brightly and briefly before dwindling out. While Roger and Lindsay have rarely made headlines, they have been a mutual support for each other – dependent on each other for friendship and support. For perhaps the first time in the house, Lindsay feels dreadfully alone. Last night it was only Lindsay and Anna in the yellow bedroom, and absent Roger’s incessant snoring, which had at first been exasperating, but which the yellow housemates had somehow come to live with, there was an eeriness to the room. Both get less sleep then they had done since entering the house. It doesn’t help that the two are not on speaking terms, with Lindsay not quite sure yet of Anna’s game but hot on her trail*

*Arnaud and Dave, who both were never really close to Roger are shooting hoops in the backyard and considering the pattern to the evictions. Dave’s face suddenly turns pale; “It’s those who have been involved in relationships who go – Jelena, Mark, Daniela, Roger – all involved in relationships…” Arnaud laughs; “But you were with that Jelena chick and you haven’t gone, and what about Anna, she’s been through every guy here?” David then makes the valid point; “But we haven’t been nominated yet” and then looks distinctly frightened. Arnaud laughs; “True…it must be the ‘love bug’. Well I guess that means I shouldn’t get too involved with Jan Michael, hey?” A change suddenly comes over Dave as he laughs; “Man, you are starting to scare me! What is going on there? We all know you are both straight”. “Well I’m completely at peace with my sexuality, let’s just see how far he is willing to go. A bit of fun. There is nothing else left to do in here anyway”. Dave then pulls out a pair of Anna’s hot pants that he has stolen from the line; “What about these?” Arnaud erupts with laughter; “You are one deprived man….give me a look at them” he says. The two boys then make a pact never to become involved with Anna who they label “the black widow” for her felling of Mark and Roger*

*”I’m a jinx” says Anna “Everyone who I fall in love with has to leave” “The other boys are calling you the black widow” Jan Mike says. “Oh fuck them!” Anna says, “I never met a more immature couple of guys, honestly. Besides isn’t the black widow hot?” “Oh yeah, way hot!” says Jan Mike. A smile sneaks across Anna’s otherwise distressed face. Amelie who had been with them both since waking up, has had just about enough of their vacuous conversations – knocks on the yellow bedroom door from where Lindsay has yet to emerge, hears the summons to come in and walks in – “I know this is hard for you,” she says “But you once told me not to wish the days away, I think you need to be reminded of that too. And I am always up for a talk.” Lindsay smiles and thanks her*

*In the afternoon Big Brother outlines the set up for this week’s task. Jan Mike will move into the yellow bedroom along with Lindsay and Anna and this will form the “servants quarters” of the house. Dave then jokes to Amelie; “Lucky Lindsay, she’s stuck with twiddle dee and twiddle dumber.” The “servants” are not allowed to use the pool or Jacuzzi, nor use hot water in the showers. They are restricted to three showers for the week, and will live on basic rations. None of these conditions are taken well by Jan Mike or Anna. Amelie tells them to look on the bright side, that it could be a character building experience. Lindsay doesn’t look pleased either at the prospect of spending the week with Jan Mike and Anna. Arnaud, Amelie and Dave have each been given a bell by Big Brother and when they ring these bells the three “servants” must come directly to them and they will also have an unlimited shopping list this week. Arnaud’s personal servant is Jan Mike, Dave’s is Anna and Amelie’s is Lindsay. Arnaud looks at Jan Mike seductively; “I’m going to love having Jan Mike servicing me”*

Dec 16th, 2003, 01:29 AM
Day 22

*Jan Mike spends his first night in the yellow bedroom. Him and Anna spend much of the night gossiping away about everything under the sun, including the colour of the walls; “I can’t believe you have slept in here for three weeks, I mean look at how bright is, how can you even close you eyes in here, its like so intrusive” says Jan Mike. “I know it doesn’t have good contrast with the tones of my skin” says Anna. The mindless drone continues well into the early hours of the morning, with Lindsay wishing Roger’s snoring was there to drown it out. Nevertheless she doesn’t comment on the annoyance, realising that she would only make matters worse as she had to live with these two of them for the next week. Lindsay simply gnashes her teeth and covers her ears with a pillow and wonders whether this whole experience has been worth it*

*Just when the yellow bedroom has quietened down and Jan Mike and Anna have fallen asleep a bell sounds from the Blue bedroom. Each bell is electric and omits a different sound, the sound is recognised by those in the yellow bedroom, as the summons for Anna, in service of Dave. Anna staggers out of bed and heads into the Blue Bedroom, she is less than gracious with her offering; “What do you want?” Dave is indignant; “Don’t be talking to your betters that way. In the old days a servant would be flogged for talking like that to their master!” Arnaud erupts with laughter. Anna rolls her eyes; “Well do you want something or not?” “No just to see your pretty face,” says David. Anna is incensed; “Well you could have waited until the morning, I look awful at this hour, without my make up and everything”. She then stomps out of the room *

*There are no more nocturnal summons during the night, but it has become apparent that whenever a one of the privileged housemate requires a night time service the whole household will be awaken. In the yellow bedroom, the interruption has rendered them unable to sleep. Jan Mike and Anna begin talking again and Lindsay goes out into the kitchen because she think this would be more productive than listening to them. She makes herself a warm coco and sits down at the table. It is not long before Arnaud – a sleep walking Arnaud - joins her! What makes the situation even funnier is that Arnaud has taken to sleeping completely naked and now as he walks in a trance into the kitchen his whole body is exposed to Lindsay. He then takes the coco that is resting on the bench, takes a sip, and puts it back onto the counter and then marches back to bed. Lindsay is mesmerised by this, “Now there is something you don’t see everyday” she says to herself*

*There are other things that are isolating Lindsay at the moment – for one she is the only housemates uncomfortable with showing her body – in fact all the others are virtually exhibitionists. Dave and Arnaud have realised this and are devising a way to get Lindsay’s close off – and this revolves inevitably around boosting her self confidence*

*The masters/servants task is not working very well. Dave has called Anna numerous times during the day – to have her mix him an alcoholic drink, fetch him a towel while he is in the pool and apply sun cream to his back. Arnaud asks Jan Mike to shave his legs and then asks Jan Mike for a foot massage saying; “Oh this is almost orgasmic” he complements a frightened Jan Mike. Jan Mike asks Anna; “Did you hear that?” She says “Yes honey, but honestly my gaydar isn’t going off” “Maybe it’s broken down then. That guy is hitting on me!” Jan Mike pleads. Jan Mike seems to have no idea of the game Arnaud is playing at! Lindsay meanwhile is being forced to do all the physical labour such as the cooking and the cleaning because the other two will not have any part in work that could damage their nails. Luckily for Lindsay, Amelie is not making too many personal demands*

*The living conditions of the servants are not accepted without some complaints. The cold showers are particularly despised, with Jan Mike absolutely furious that he is going to be shown poorly. Him and Anna shower together in the morning and when he gets out Anna looks him up and down and laughs. “It’s the cold water” he says “It shrinks when its cold” Anna nods but Jan Mike is furious; “Fuck now the whole world is going to think I have a pin dick because of this stupid task” Anna comforts him and gives him a kiss on the cheek; “You’re no Mark, but you have other good qualities” Jan Mike’s heart skips a beat with Anna’s kiss, how long can he go on pretending that he only wants to be friends?*

*There are clear signs that the task is beginning to split the household. Arnaud and David, relaxing in hammocks outside, are becoming the object of Lindsay, Jan Mike and Anna’s resentment. They are discussing the nature of the task with Amelie; “It’s only a task” says Lindsay, “It doesn’t mean we should treat each other differently than we have for the whole time in here” Amelie agrees; “Yeah, I just think Arnaud hasn’t had the chance to settle in, and then he was suddenly given this status, so he has no idea of the way it used to be”. Lindsay agrees; “Maybe, but I think we should just treat it as a task. Not take it so seriously, like we have a new class structure or something”. Jan Mike and Anna both applaud Lindsay who blushes.*

*At night there are two announcements – firstly there will be a party tomorrow night to celebrate Arnaud’s 26th Birthday. Then comes the shock of the night. This week all housemates will be nominated. And there is more. Two housemates will be evicted this weekend. These will be the two housemates who receive the highest percentage of votes. This announcement will no doubt shake up the house again!*

Dec 17th, 2003, 07:36 AM

It was such a good idea to bring Arnaud in!

Dec 17th, 2003, 01:41 PM
Day 23

*Last night’s announcement that the whole household would be placed up for eviction this weekend has major impacts on the household – particularly for Dave and Anna who have not yet experienced the nomination treadmill. Both become increasingly neurotic as they face eviction for the first time – fearing that while all the other housemates have passed a test of the public’s confidence they have not yet and are thus the most vulnerable of all. This is the state of play, early on the 17th of December, the day of Arnaud’s birthday*

*Jan Michael and Anna are becoming increasingly unwilling to fulfil their role as servants to the other housemates. They are feeling that Dave and Arnaud are being high handed in their use of the rules of the task to demean and humiliate them, making them feel like second class citizens. When Dave pages Anna to come to his bedroom, she feels rage boiling up inside of her. Like Anna, Lindsay and Jan Mike are both becoming increasingly testy with the constant interruptions to their peace and quiet – having cameras filming you 24/7 is so much less intrusive, they come to accept, then a couple of slave masters constantly ordering you around. Anna simply covers her ears with her pillow and ignores Dave’s summons, even as her pager buzzes incessantly throughout the night. This flouting of the task is sure to have some repercussions in the morning!*

*In the morning Dave goes straight to the Diary Room to report to Big Brother how Anna had completely ignored his requests last night that was against the rules of the task. Anna is called to the Diary Room and asked to explain her actions. She barely gets a word out before she begins to cry uncontrollably, to which Big Brother angrily warns her to tread very carefully as she is already resting on two strikes – three means that she may be disqualified from contention at Big Brother’s discretion. Big Brother tells her that he is willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, and that she must make every effort to ensure that such a lapse does not happen again. Anna thanks Big Brother and exists the diary room still in tears.*

*The others are at the table eating breakfast and wishing Arnaud happy birthday. Arnaud had whispered to Jan Mike that he hoped his real birthday present would come tonight at the party. Jan Mike is beginning to rue the day that he had suggested his bisexuality. He wonders whether the BB camera is picking up on all this innuendo and whether the audience had realised that Arnaud was outing himself on worldwide television. In any case Jan Mike doesn’t see it as his job to out Arnaud, especially when he has expressed himself as a tolerant person early in the house with regards to Amelie’s sexuality. If there is one thing reality TV audiences hate it is characters who constantly contradict and misrepresent themselves*

*There is definitely a sense of tactical awareness among the housemates at this late stage of the competition. The two most alert tacticians at this point appear to be David and Anna – both first time nominees who are determined to give the best possible impression to audiences. Dave’s earlier visit to the diary room was no doubt in a desire to portray himself as righteous, but Anna is never going to let him get away with it. Into the living room like a ball of fire comes Anna and she gets right to the source of her problem David. “How could you do that?” she says “Don’t think I’m just some blonde bimbo, I know exactly what you are doing. Trying to portray me as a poor team player for everyone to see! Well I’ll have you know that I will do anything for the team and to get this task done, even blowjobs”. The housemates all stare at her open mouthed, then begin to laugh. Anna realises that she has said too much and stomps off to the garden where she had been set the task of washing Dave’s jocks. Lindsay meanwhile, with all the talk of tactics and power games has finally put together the pieces of the Dani-Anna-Roger mystery and Anna’s scheming ways, but she decides to keep it under her hat, at least for now – a tactic of her own.*

*Jan Mike joins Anna in the garden and has brought with him a pair of scissors. He has been assigned the task of washing Arnaud’s jocks. Him and Anna decide to exact some revenge but cutting strategic holes in their “masters” underwear.*

*In the Afternoon, Amelie discovers some chocolates in her bed. She presumes they are from Lindsay as a thankyou for treating her much more nicely than the other two masters. But are they?*

*As night falls it is time for some release of tension with the party getting under way. Lindsay has baked a three-tiered chocolate cake that Arnaud calls a “master piece by a goddess”. Lindsay blushes. Anna seems to be increasingly jealous of Lindsay’s ability to befriend the boys of the house as she slips a death stare her way. It does not go unnoticed by Lindsay*

*As is always the case when alcohol becomes involved some wildness is on the cards. Lindsay, so conservative by day, becomes somewhat of a party animal after a couple of drinks with her inhibitions freed. Dave is working on his dare with Arnaud – whoever gets Lindsay to go topless first wins. Dave flirts with Lindsay constantly through the night telling her of how he loves “tall women”. But Anna is quick to swoop in on the action grabbing Dave's hand and placing it to her breast – he considers this the most satisfying of all consolation prizes. In her drunken state Lindsay just rolls around laughing on the couch at Anna's desperation*

*More interesting developments are occurring elsewhere, with Arnaud telling Jan Mike that he had never met a guy with such perfect biceps. Jan Mike seems to be blinded by the flattery. Arnaud whispers to Dave that it is now his time to go in for the kill – to test how gay Jan Mike really was – and then after they chat some more, all the while getting closer together on the couch and the conversation more sexual, he lurches forward to kiss him. All the other housemates watch mesmorised. Will Jan Mike or won’t he? Then Jan Mike bounces up “Fuck man, no way. I’m not gay, ok? I’m a flaming metrosexual!” He then storms off to the bedroom, in a manner Anna would be proud of. The other housemates exchange glances; what was a metrosexual? Arnaud feigns tears and yells to Jan Mike as he leaves “Does this mean I get no birthday kiss?”*

Day 24

*It seems that every time there is a party, there is inevitable a great wash up to be dealt with in the morning, and not only from the alcohol induced hangover. Too wasted to play any games with the pagers throughout the night, the masters allow the servants their first uninterrupted night of sleep for days, but for each of the housemates there is something preventing them from getting a good night sleep, compounded by the imminent eviction of a third of the household. For Anna the situation its all about her insecurity, did the public really like her? Why didn’t the boys like her anymore? Jan Mike is worried about appearing contradictory. Did he behave tonight as if he found the thought of being gay repulsive? Did this make his support for Amelie appear false? Lindsay meanwhile is coming to grips with her revelation of Anna’s scheming ways and whether she should confront her with it. But the soul searching is not restricted to the yellow bedroom. The “privileged” members of the blue bedroom are having just as much trouble sleeping. Dave is worried about the impact of his womanising ways in polarising audiences. Arnaud thinks he may have taken the situation with Jan Mike too far. Amelie is concerned that the housemates are again poking fun at her sexuality but has the chocolate secretly deposited on her bed earlier in the day to comfort her. Yes, there will be much to talk about in the morning!*

*The morning is spent with the housemates talking about damage control strategies to sool any potentially vote costly conflicts. Lindsay and Jan Mike, fresh (or perhaps not) from a sleepless night finally emerge from the yellow bedroom, unable to tolerate rolling around in bed any longer. After Jan Mike’s usual vacuous references to his appearance and the state of his “bed hair”, Lindsay cuts through the swath of tripe to ask Jan Michael what a “metrosexual” is. Jan Mike rolls his eyes; “Oh please! I am living with barbarians, I swear. It’s a HETEROSEXUAL male who is very in touch with his feminine side.” Lindsay is slightly offended by his reference to her as a barbarian but has bigger fish to fry; “Well you aren’t exactly in touch with the feelings of one certain female in this house who you are supposed to be friends with” “Anna?” Jan Mike says absently. “No Amelie”, Lindsay’s voice becomes more irritated. Jan Mike looks guilty; “I should have let Arnaud down more gently. I know I was insensitive. He can’t help it that he is attracted to men and I am quite the perfect male specimen”. Now it is Lindsay’s turn to roll her eyes – Jan Mike actually thought Arnaud was gay! What a mess! But as ever she checks herself and says calmly; “Arnaud isn’t gay, he was playing games just like you were. You should both be ashamed of yourselves”. Jan Mike looks a little disappointed “You mean Arnaud doesn’t want my body?”*

*Just then a shriek from the blue bedroom resounds through the house. It wakes Anna from her slumber, and with the other two servants they hurry to the door and swing it open. The sight they see is one to behold! Arnaud, who sleeps naked of course, always puts on his briefs before coming out into the kitchen of a morning. This morning he had reached into the draw and pulled out his boxer briefs half asleep and put them on only to find that they failed to cover the most private parts of his anatomy! Now he was standing there with crotch less underwear! Jan Mike and Anna erupt laughing; it was their doing! Lindsay even manages a weak smile. Arnaud looks through his draw and find all his underwear are cut in the same places, Dave does too. However they have diverse reactions. Arnaud sees the funny side of it; “Well we have been acting like pricks lately. I guess I will just be free balling for the rest of my time here”. But Dave, who, like Anna, seems to have gone to water under the pressures of nomination week, is not going to let them off so lightly. He is no longer the good natured soul he was early in the house; “This is the work of vandals” he says “You Americans think you can get away with anything. Barbie and Ken, look at you. We are at a disadvantage now. I am just not myself when I don’t have support down there”. He doesn’t seem to care that Anna is not an American citizen, nor does she seem to notice that he just called her by the completely wrong nationality – after all she had made a USA shirt in the first week in the house. He pushes his way through the door and out to the kitchen in his pyjama bottoms. Jan Mike and Anna don’t seem to be phased by being the subject of his verbal assault – but are rather pleased to have another tantrum thrower in the house. She kisses Jan Mike on the cheek; “You are such a good friend”. She doesn’t realise that she wants so much more though*

*Later on in the day Anna, wanting to make sure that viewers see her as sympathetic and also wanting to reassert her dominance over the men of the house, approaches Dave who is swimming with Arnaud in the pool and asks to have a chat. Anna encourages him to go into the herb garden, saying “no one ever goes here” – she obviously has never noticed the many trips made by Lindsay and Roger during food preparation. Dave expects some kind of verbal lashing but instead she kisses him on the cheek, “You are the new diva in here. Now there are three of us, that was a great performance this morning”. Dave giggles, “You liked?” Anna nods. Then the two talk about how hard it is to be nominated for the first time. Jan Mike is watching them getting very close through the living room window and is burning with jealousy. Conversation eventually turns to who they would like to see win and who they wouldn’t. Anna says that she wouldn’t want Lindsay to win because she is a “scheming woman” who is “not being herself”. Anna doesn’t realise that Lindsay is right behind them during this conversation. Lindsay feels the anger boiling inside of her at this comment but she is determined not to lose her cool. She bites her lip for the umpteenth time this week, retrieves the herbs she needs and heads back to the kitchen. Is it only a matter of time before the Lindsay bomb detonates?*

*Later in the day, Amelie decides to have her own air clearing session by asking Arnaud and Jan Mike to join her for a chat in her bedroom. The two boys, who have thought long and hard about the impact of their conduct on Amelie, fall over themselves to be apologetic, however Amelie is much more in control than she was a couple of weeks ago and basically just wants to know the truth. She was very touched by the fact they had realised their actions may have affected her. She asks them both if they are gay. Arnaud says no. Jan Mike feels a sense of relief at this and then says; “Hell no, I’m not gay. How can I be when I am in love with Anna?” The other two look at him open mouthed and he realises he has let something slip that he shouldn’t have. “Of course I love Anna…as a friend” he says and then tries to change the subject; “Look Amelie, a rose on your pillow. A rose from the garden. What is that doing there?” Amelie has received another gift from her secret admirer*

Day 25

*Too many secrets can never be good for the morale of a household, and at the moment the BB house is riddled with them. Lindsay knows the truth about Anna but is sharing it with no one. One of the other five housemates is Amelie’s secret admirer, but no one has any clue who it is. Jan Mike is in love with Anna but won’t admit it to her, David and Arnaud have a secret pact to get Lindsay’s clothes off. How long before the delicately poised web of secrecy becomes unravelled, and the spiders within it sent scrambling for cover?*

*Amelie had originally believed that her admirer was Lindsay but she is feeling an immense comfort in not knowing exactly who her admirer is. She feels free to allow her imagination to run wild and to believe these are divine gifts to guide her through the tough times in the house. Overnight she had held the rose close to her chest as she drifted to sleep. Amelie has been one of the quieter characters of this BB series; hers has been a personal journey of self knowledge and acceptance. She is also fast learning that while others may at first be taken aback by her overt lesbianism, they are willing to accept her and be receptive to her feelings and this makes her warm inside*

*Dave, despite his talk with Anna is not going to allow the two servants to have the last laugh on their masters. While Arnaud has accepted that he had to go “commando” for the rest of the time in the house, Dave orders Anna to MANUALLY fix his jocks – with needle and cotton. Anna is astounded by the this order – “But I’ve never sown in my life” “Oh please, as if you haven’t. All good women grow up learning to sow…its their role in life” Anna shouts; “Barbarian” takes his undies and heads outside to find some one who can give her a crash course in sewing. Arnaud thinks the situation is hilarious, but warns Dave; “Don’t you think you are being a little insensitive to women…I mean we are nominated and all”. Dave thinks long and hard – “I have it covered”. When no one is apparent to help her in the living room Anna goes into the diary room to fetch a sowing kit and then sits on the couch trying to get a start and begins to prick her fingers repeatedly, each time yelping out in pain. Amelie who was in the kitchen putting her rose in a vase and still wondering who it was from offers to help her but both girls are hopeless. They are soon joined by Lindsay who true to her domestic record in the house is a natural sower too. Anna is more than a little peeved when Lindsay demonstrates her prowess; “Here we go. Perfect Lindsay again. You never say what you think, you are just trying to be a goody too shoes to win over the audiences. You're such a fake. Why don’t you just be yourself?”. This finally sets Lindsay off as tears run down her cheeks; “What gives you the right to judge me? Can’t you just accept someone for being nice? Or is nice too hard a word for you, bimbo?” Anna laughs; “I can spell nice, N-I-S-E,” she pokes her tongue out, “At least I be myself in here. If you had these problems with me why didn’t you bring them up earlier? We have been here for four weeks. It is because you are such a fake who is playing this game like no one else”. Lindsay then pulls out her trump card; “I wouldn’t talk about games and fake if I were you. Playing Dani and Roger off against each other. Telling her you had been with him and telling him she was using him. That’s what I call playing games. You don’t even realise how much damage you cause to people’s lives!” Lindsay then storms off, repaired underpants in hand. Amelie gives Anna a greasy then leaves herself*

*Meanwhile, in the blue bedroom, Arnaud and Dave have formed a secret society where they only let people in after they have completed a task as requested by them. Inside the room the lights are off and the guests are interrogated. The first guest to arrive was Jan Mike who had been forced to shed his clothes before entering as punishment for ruining Arnaud’s jocks, before entering. Although the lights are off, the infra red BB camera’s reveal what is going on. Arnaud and Dave are questioning Jan Mike about his feelings for Anna but he is remaining very tight lipped, eventually becoming frustrated and leaves the room, just as Lindsay arrives with the underpants. Before she can enter the darkened room Lindsay is asked to take of her bikini top by Dave – saying to Arnaud “it is worth a try” - although Lindsay refuses she is still allowed in and Dave gives her a big kiss on the cheek for her work. Lindsay tells them about Anna’s scheming ways and they in turn tell her about Jan Mike’s feeling for her. All three agree that those two must be brought together as soon as possible for the good of the household. Arnaud jokes; “She has a poisonous kiss, every man she kisses leaves the house. Let’s hope the black widow strikes again and they both leave the house together tomorrow”. Lindsay is reminded of the time she had spent with Roger planning to get Mark and Anna together; “OK, I am going to need your help tonight, they need some time alone”*

*The rest of the day is spent in meticulous planning. Amelie is let in on the plan and the blue bedroom is decided upon as the scene for the match making session. Lindsay spends the afternoon baking some delicacies and Arnaud and Amelie set up the bedroom by dragging in a coffee table, setting up candles etc.*

*All the while Jan Mike and Anna are out in the garden, with Anna doing much soul searching. Anna thinks she has come across as a scheming bitch; “I am a bad person, I can’t believe how bad I am” Jan Michael tells her she isn’t bad, and she tells him that he is just being a good friend. He doesn’t have the courage to tell her what he really feels.*

*At night, Arnaud and Dave ask Anna and Jan Mike to fetch some things from the blue bedroom. The two suspect nothing of it and head off. Once inside they notice a table set for two with a turkey on top. In the candle light, Jan Mike finally builds the confidence to mutter; “Anna, I love you”. She is at first taken aback by his statement but in the romantic atmosphere she finally realises what had been underneath her nose all along. She leans forward to kiss him, Jan Mike can’t believe this moment is finally here. But then just as suddenly she pulls away and flees the room, leaving Jan Mike desolate. The clock strikes midnight*

Day 26

*Jan Mike had been left high and dry by Anna last night, who had fled the site of their near-kiss like a flash. For the man who had made a name for himself in the house as utterly vacuous and vain, opening up and revealing his true feelings, only to feel the severity of apparent rejection, there are harsh psychological consequences. He sits out desolate on the veranda in the early morning, eventually being joined by Dave and Arnaud who sit either side of him. Both have extensive experience in wooing women (and in being rejected by them). Although both have never really seen eye to eye with Jan Mike on many issues, believing him too plastic, unfeeling and vain to simply be “one of the boys”, they empathise with him. “We know what your going through man…” begins Arnaud. “Beautiful girls like Anna, we never know what they are like. They lead you on and then….”. Jan Mike cuts them both off - “You know why I do all this. The hair, the working out….It’s not easy to look this beautiful” He then senses the other boy’s attention drifting and comes back to his point – “It’s all for show. I put on this front for people because I don’t want to get hurt, now look at me!” The boys suddenly connect with Jan Mike as a human being rather than a “ken doll” and Dave says; “Welcome to the boys club”. The boys then descend into a conversation about how tough it is to be a guy in this modern world and what women expect of them. Dave explains to Jan Mike that it was really fortunate that Anna didn’t kiss him as her lips bring certain eviction to the male housemate who dares kiss them. Arnaud is worried that he and Dave have come across as a little chauvinistic in the house. Dave says he is not worried about this impression at all. What does he have up his sleeve? Dave and Arnaud encourage Jan Mike to join in their “No Anna” pact. Dave and Arnaud put their hands together and Jan Mike reluctantly places his on top.*

*Inside Lindsay is taking Anna to task over her treatment of Jan Michael. They are both supposed to be preparing Lunch but Anna is watching Lindsay to the bulk of the work, not wanting to chip a nail while preparing sandwiches. Frustrated by Anna’s lack of consideration and no longer worried about airing her true feelings about her, Lindsay takes Anna to task over her treatment of Jan Michael; “You know when I first came into the house, I thought people may misjudge you. But you are every bit as callous as high school cheerleaders. You play games with people’s feelings. You’re just heartless. Jan Mike is in love with you for heaven’s sake. A great looking guy is in love with you, who shares common interests and you won’t even kiss him! You’re spoilt! Anna is indignant; “Don’t presume to know about me! Now you can do without my help ” and she stomps off. Lindsay yells behind her; “Oh, I won’t be able to do without it”*

*Perhaps keen to prove Lindsay wrong, Anna seeks Jan Mike out from his group talking session with the boys and insists they talk alone in the bedroom. Before he leaves the boys ensure that he is going to stick to their pact. After the two have disappeared off, Arnaud and Dave exchange glances. Arnaud says; “He’s a goner!” *

*There is of course the matter of each contestant preparing to leave tonight and packing their bags and making video wills. The nerves are obvious in each housemate. Amelie is particularly nervous about leaving. She feels that her time is definitely up and decides to find out who has been leaving her presents all week – she doesn’t want to leave with unfinished business*

*Arnaud, Jan Mike and Lindsay are settling into their sandwiches in the kitchen. Lindsay says that Arnaud can’t leave yet because he has yet to cook for her; “We haven’t had our bake off yet” she says. “Oh yes, I’m sure viewers can’t wait for our scintillating cooking contest” he says then adds, “Geez we are a boring bunch”. The three then fall into as conversation about whether anyone is actually watching the program on the outside. “Well we can hear heaps of cheers on Saturday nights” says David, “So the chances are we are going to be famous when we get out of here.” Then Amelie strides into the kitchen, full of purpose. “Ok, who has been leaving me presents?” The three exchange glances. Amelie is almost hoping that no one answers, she wants to go on with the mystery. Putting a face to the kind gestures would somehow corrupt them. Then Dave puts up his hand; “It was me. I just thought you were getting a little bored in here, so I’d give you a bit of excitement. And all women love roses.”. Amelie thanks him for caring and gives him a kiss. They have come so far since the days of the blue house when Dave was estranged from Amelie because of his attitude towards her sexuality. It has been a learning experience for them both. If they leave the house with nothing else, this was worthwhile. Arnaud begins to see what a shrewd strategist his friend is. No wonder he was unconcerned about appearing insensitive to women! Will Dave’s strategising work? If they both manage to get through this week Arnaud now knows that he will have to hone his own tactics if he want to win*

*In the yellow bedroom things are getting heavy with Jan Mike and Anna engaging in a deep and meaningful. Lindsay has gone to the bedroom door, putting her ear to it, to hear what is going on, she tells Arnaud that it really isn’t eaves dropping because they are sharing the conversation with the whole world anyway via the BB cameras. Anna explains that the real reason that she hadn’t kissed him last night was because she didn’t want to jinx him; “But I love you, I’ve always loved you. It was instant. I just didn’t realise until now”. On the other side of the door, Lindsay suddenly feels a little wretched for being so hard on Anna this morning – there was some good in her after all. Jan Mike remembers what the boys had said to him out in the yard, and then pulls away as Anna tries to kiss him. “I understand if you don’t want to kiss me now” says Anna. But then just as suddenly, as she begins to turn away, he grabs her shoulder, leans forward and pashes her on the lips. Lindsay returns to the group reporting that the room had gone silent. Dave then pronounces that Anna had claimed “victim #3”. With the massive double eviction only hours away, has the black widow already sealed Jan Mike’s fate?*

Day 27

*The reduction of the household by a third with the eviction of Jan Mike and Amelie has made the tension between Anna and Lindsay more pronounced. Dave notes to Arnaud that he could almost feel the chill from the animosity between the two. Anna is feeling particularly wretched, because Lindsay may have been right all along – she does seem to spell doom for those she gets closest to in the house – which were invariably of the male species. Maybe she was innately bad? Anna decides to pay a penance for her indiscretions – to wear black for the remainder of her time in the house and to vow off men. This may at first seem a huge sacrifice, but aside from a drunken declaration of love to David and some slight flirting with Arnaud when he entered the house she had never been very attracted to the two remaining boys in the complex. They were after all in her book “the most immature” men she had met. Yes, staving off men shouldn’t be too hard, especially considering the two boys have a pact to go nowhere near her! Nevertheless Anna is taking her self-proclaimed punishment very seriously. She appears in the morning in a black negligee. Arnaud and Dave both drop their jaws to the floor when they see her, looking as glamorous as ever – now she not only had the credentials to be called the black widow but looked the part too. Dave makes a cat noise. Anna scoffs at him; “I’m mourning”. Arnaud just laughs; “My dear, no one can get away with saying those are mourning clothes. Not even you. You look so hot you’d give a dead man a boner” Dave erupts, and Anna, taking a leaf from the book of Jan Michael, spits; “Barbarians, I’m living with Barbarians!” and then goes off to meet her appointment with the BB psychiatrist to discuss her problems. The boys high five each other*

*Lindsay doesn’t know what to think about the whole situation. Part of her is thrilled that she is here for another week, yet another is yearning for freedom and a return to a normal life after 4 weeks under the relentless scrutiny of the BB cameras. She had so far been the most composed of the housemates; sticking to her ground rules such as not showering naked and remaining faithful to Rick. However she is starting to question her position in the house; Anna is the beautiful one, Arnaud the flamboyant one, Dave, a true man’s man. And what was she? Just so ordinary! Perhaps she had overstayed her welcome? And what about this conflict with Anna? She had done her best to avoid conflict but Anna had pushed her over the edge. She wanted to clear it up, but didn’t want Anna to think she condoned her behaviour. After wrestling her conscience Lindsay decides that it is Anna who should make the first move towards resolving their issues. The stalemate is set to continue*

*In the Afternoon BB announces that all the housemates must move into one bedroom – purely for the sake of efficiency. There is no point running cameras in two bedrooms when all can be located in one, and besides with a boy-girl mixed bedroom there is much more potential for good television, even if all four inhabitants have sworn off sexual relationships for one reason of another for the remainder of the time in the house. With Anna growing tired of the yellow bedroom colour scheme and Dave too lazy to move his stuff from one room to another the vote is unanimous – Anna and Lindsay would move to the blue bedroom. Arnaud makes some comment, albeit light heartedly about him and Dave being pissed off with this new arrangement because they had planned to have jacking off and dick measuring competitions after finally getting rid of Amelie last night and it being an “all boys” room. It is the sort of comment that would normally have Dave in stitches but this time all it brings from him is a weak, almost mechanical laugh that has ended almost before it has left his mouth. This does not go unnoticed by Arnaud.*

*Later in the day Dave seeks Anna out and the two head off for a swim in the pool. While they are frolicking, Dave tries to distance himself from Arnaud’s earlier statements. “You know we all make silly comments sometimes, he is no different. I think sometimes he forgets women are not a lesser life form” This is an about face for Dave who only a couple of days ago had informed Anna that sowing was the female role in life. Anna calls him out on this. “Oh did I say that? It’s all in good fun don’t take it too seriously my dear”. Anna laughs “Oh where is the butter, because you are just buttering me up aren’t you?” She then splashes him with water*

*With the slave/master task over, Arnaud is back in the kitchen doing what he does best while Lindsay takes a quick break, having a coffee at the bench while doing the weekly shopping list. Lindsay is explaining to Arnaud about how she can’t come up for a rational reason why she is still here, why the public have given the others the boot and not her. Looking out the window while chopping the vegetables, Arnaud sees Dave wooing Anna (although he can’t hear what they are saying of course) and begins to feel a little confused at his friend’s actions. First he was Amelie’s admirer, then he stopped laughing at his jokes, now he is playing happy families with Anna whom they had both agreed was off limits? Were all these simple coincidences, was Dave a tactical genius or was Arnaud simply being too paranoid and strategically aware himself? Lindsay is becoming frustrated that Arnaud has drifted away from their conversation and begins calling out his name. He finally comes back to reality and says; “Lindsay, you are still here because you are always yourself and people like that” Lindsay smiles. Arnaud isn’t sure if he really believes these words anymore. Is Dave the man Arnaud had thought he was?*

Dec 22nd, 2003, 12:43 PM
Day 28

*The tactical awareness of the quartet inhabiting the house at the moment is being heightened by the day, it is threatening to tear the tenuous friendships in the house apart. Anna distrusts Lindsay because of her supposed tactics, Lindsay has already vented her frustration at Anna’s playing with the hearts and minds of the boys, Dave is making every effort to demonstrate his previously non existent “sensitive side” and Arnaud, always in it to win, but by being himself, has become frustrated enough with Dave’s antics for it to begin straining their friendship. As the competition heats up, whose tactics will fail and whose will succeed?*

*The first night spent all together in the blue bedroom goes by with little real incident. Lindsay cannot sleep though, which has become a pattern since Roger’s departure and is rolling around. Night raids of the fridge have not been too uncommon over the past month in the house, so Lindsay’s exit into the kitchen for a (past) midnight snack is not out of the ordinary. However Arnaud, himself not sleeping soundly notices Lindsay’s rummaging and heads out. He makes her a warm hot chocolate with some Marshmallows left over from the slave/master week. Arnaud talks about turning 26 and how they are now by far the most senior members of the household. Lindsay says that they have to stick together because they are more mature. Arnaud then has another crack at getting Lindsay’s top off. Lindsay laughs “Maybe I spoke too soon (about his maturity). You must understand, I am not one of your groupies who gets a wet groin just looking at you”. Arnaud laughs at meeting his verbal match. For the first time since Roger had left the house, Lindsay feels as if she has connected with a fellow housemate on a profound level. She saw in him a certain genuineness, a naiveté almost, that had succeeded in drawing in both Amelie and David with little more than a smile. If there was one person she could trust in the house, it was he*

*Anna has been one of the most resilient housemates. Three times she has lost potential lovers, and three times she had been burned with the eviction of Mark, Roger and Jan Mike in consecutive weeks. Despite apparent soul searching immediately following the evictions, she has managed to keep quite a brave face, moving on to the next task effectively. Some of the housemates – particularly Lindsay and earlier David – perceived this as a sign of vacuousness and hard heartedness. However Anna, like her soul mate Jan Mike, is deeper than the other housemates give her credit for. Removing her last products from the yellow bedroom she comes across a pair of Mark’s jocks from many weeks ago. She begins to sob uncontrollably and is joined by Lindsay who hears her from the kitchen. Lindsay had seen flashes of something other than a barbie doll in Anna – her offer to help during the T-shirt design task, her emotional speech during the “getting to know you” task following the joining of the houses and the overheard conversation with Jan Michael in which she had admitted to not wanting to “jinx” him. Anna turns when she hears footsteps in the door way; “I take it you have come to gloat!” she says to Lindsay; “Well you should be happy, I’m falling apart”. Lindsay quickly moves to Anna’s side; “Look at me Anna.” Anna turns; “Let me tell you that I never enjoy other people’s sadness”. “But you were right, I am a bad person. I should not be here, they all would be if not for me” “I just think you are a very loving person, sometimes you don’t know how to express that love properly, and it comes out wrong!” consoles Lindsay “But I’m a jinx. A horrible jinx!”. Lindsay puts her finger to Anna’s lip; “Nonsense. There is no such thing as a jinx. You have just had bad luck that’s all”. “Bad Luck” Anna repeats and ponders the subject as she sobs into Mark’s jocks. Is Lindsay’s alliance building altruistic or cynical?*

*In the afternoon the week’s task is announced; The four are required to present a Christmas pageant of the nativity scene. The role play will include the roles of Mary, Joseph, the innkeeper and the little drummer boy. The performance will take place on Christmas Night (Thursday). Anna immediately pledges for the role of Mary; ‘I need to play the lead, after all I am an actress. Did you all see me in Me, Myself and Irene?” The three other housemates exchange glances, then Lindsay finally pipes up; “Oh we must have blinked and then missed it” she says. Dave remains straight faced. Arnaud then chimes in “And besides we are talking about the VIRGIN Mary here, and from what I’ve heard you are hardly virginal. I mean you have already been through three guys here!” Dave can’t help but chuckle at this – the sort of comment he had ripped out routinely in the first few weeks in the house – however his response is still contained. With her confidence restored after the pep talking with Lindsay, Anna, never one to let things go lightly snaps back; “Just because you aren’t getting any honey there is no need to talk smack about me”. Dave, viewing this as a free for all where no one can become too offended, feels free to laugh whole heartedly now*

*After Dinner the housemates are called to the Diary Room and handed back the National T-Shirts they designed during the first week in the house. The exception to this rule is Arnaud who of course was not present when the T-Shirts were made. BB asks him if he would like to make his own or if he would simply like to use Amelie’s which of course also represents France. Perhaps catching Dave’s infectious laziness Arnaud choses the second option. The housemates are told to make sure the T-Shirts are ready to be worn because, as was promised during the first week, the garment will be used for a competition tomorrow. The housemates are also told an exciting piece of news – the competition will be hosted by a visitor to the house. The housemates minds then wander. Who will this host be? Another intruder? A returning housemate? Their questions will be answered after another (probably sleepless) night.*

Day 29

*With nominations announced, Anna is immediately peeved at receiving her first nomination (not including last week, when all were nominated). Both her and Dave seem to be unnerved by the fact that Arnaud, who has spent a relatively short amount of time in the house compared to the other three, has effectively received a free pass through to the final weekend by avoiding nominations. Dave in fact gets up and leaves the room as soon as nomination are announced saying he forgot to brush his teeth this morning – this fools nobody. Only Lindsay is congratulatory to Arnaud who is beginning to feel as if his presence is being resented by fellow housemates*

*The housemates are becoming extremely horny with the sexual tension in the house rising markedly seemingly as a result, ironically, of each housemate swearing off sex (with their fellow housemates). Anna, whose lust for physical contact had been insatiable during the first month in the house, seems to be committed to her role as “mourning” girlfriend, but can’t help but sneak a peak at the boys as they go shirtless as they try their T-shirts on for size. Arnaud and Dave, never shy to express their feelings about their sexual deprivation, each are experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Dave is remedying his by taking in a good look at Anna every night and keeping the underwear of hers that he had stolen from the line under his pillow. Arnaud admits a fascination for Lindsay’s “endless legs”. Lindsay blushes at this, but is experiencing her own problems in this regard. Always considered to be the “straight laced” housemate with little sexual appetite admits to Dave and Arnaud that she is feeling the pinch of not being “intimate” with someone; “It’s not just the sex,” she says “It’s just being with Mr Leach, the kisses, the hugs, the sensuality. It’s just lucky I’m not attracted to either of you guys – I’ve seen way too much of you for that – because if a new hot guy walked in here, I think I’d just about jump his bones”. The two boys look at her awestruck; “Of course as soon as I jumped him, my mind would start to think of Mr Leach and I’d have to get off”. Arnaud giggles; “Just as well. I can’t reconcile “Lindsay” and “Unfaithful” in the same sentence”. Dave asks why she always refers to her husband as Mr Leach, to which she replies; “So I remember I’m Mrs Leach” The three share a good laugh*

*The T-Shirts themselves are creating a bit of controversy. Anna is concerned that they may not be fashionable anymore; “This design was cutting edge when I did it, but who knows what the fashion is now?” Lindsay rolls her eyes. The two boys ask why Anna’s T-Shirt has the USA emblazoned on it when she is from Russia. Lindsay, recalling the first week, advises the boys that they are better off not to ask. The two shake their heads, knowingly. Meanwhile, Arnaud, who has donned Amelie’s shirt which fits surprisingly well, has his front emblazoned with a phrase that in English translates to; “Will you sleep with me?”. The sex starved housemates, including Dave, jokingly quip that they might take him up on that offer if he is not careful. “Why don’t we all just have an orgy?” Arnaud quips*

*The afternoon is spent with the practising for the pageant on Thursday Evening. Anna is feeling as if the Mary costume that she had wrestled from Lindsay’s grasp is making her look too fat and is not pleased at all. Lindsay has taken the role of the innkeeper, Dave of Joseph and Arnaud, due to his small stature and cute disposition, the drummer boy. All seems to be going well but all bemoan the absent of a narrator to bring the task together. Anna also thinks a director is needed; “You are all so amateurish. I am used to working with professionals”*

*It is not long after dinner when the housemates here a knock at the store room door; the first since the arrival of the intruders, two weeks ago. The housemates are almost afraid to open it; who lurks behind it? What new challenges will they bring to the house? Arnaud is the first to jump up from the sofa and make way to the door. He opens it and in strides a strikingly handsome young man in his early twenties, who carried himself with a swagger of confidence, bordering on arrogance. Upon entering the house, a house that he himself had inhabited for three months last year, Marat raises his arms in mock triumph; “Honeys, I’m home!” His presence immediately fills the house with a raw energy and honesty that blows away the cobwebs of intrigue that have cloaked the house in recent days. “I am Marat and I will be your host this evening” he announces boldly in an accent that makes both Anna and Lindsay go weak at the knees. Arnaud whispers to Lindsay; “Do you want me to hold you back? (referring obviously to her comment about “jumping the bones” of a bachelor to enter the house)” Lindsay laughs; “I think I can control myself for one night ;)” *

*Marat upon meeting Anna, whose heart skips a beat at his well built frame and dark smouldering good looks, wastes no time taking his first pot shot; “You, my dear, are an A-grade hottie…but what is with that horrendous shirt. Are you not proud to be Russian?” Anna immediately blushes and flirts back; “Of course I am Russian on the inside” Marat, always sexually overt and even more so now that he is only in the house on a hit and run mission says; “Are you sure you don’t want some Russian inside of you tonight?” Arnaud and Dave hoot at this. Lindsay seems exasperated – yet more sexual innuendo making her miss her husband’s embrace*

*There is more controversy when the rules of tonight’s games are announced. The competition will have the format of Americas (Dave from Argentina and Lindsay from US) versus Europe (Russian Anna and French Arnaud). Dave, seemingly empowered by Marat’s frankness, is not happy at all with this arrangement – “Why do I get grouped in with the Americans. They want to dominate everything”, then he thinks about how many people he could isolate with this comment and adds “No offence to you Lindsay. Its not the people it’s the authorities”. Arnaud seems more concerned that he has been landed with Anna and quips; “I hope this competition is about make up application. Because that is the only way we are winning this.” Marat laughs. Anna is trying to bribe Marat by showing more and more of her cleavage to him. “That’s lovely” he says, “But I am a serious host tonight…completely objective” he then laughs at himself “Who am I kidding?”*

*The first contest is trivia. The housemates have to answer questions about each other’s countries. Arnaud, David and Lindsay do very well, then the questions fall to Anna. “Who was the first American president?” Anna spits out, “Bill Clinton” Marat says incorrect, “We were looking for the FIRST PRESIDENT not the first president ever to receive head from an intern in the oval office”. Dave, who never misses a chance to take a swipe at the Americans thinks this hilarious and finds himself laughing in spite of himself. This was not good tactics. ADV AMERICAS*

*The contests continue. One of them involves not laughing for 45 seconds while the others all pull funny faces. Anna, proving her mettle as an actress does this brilliantly. Lindsay is hopeless. And Dave and Arnaud last for only a little bit longer, despite their best efforts. “Congratulations you are the least sincere person in the house” says Marat. Arnaud applauds his partner. DEUCE.*

*The final task is for one housemate from each group to move from one side of the pool to the other without getting wet. The other may get wet if necessary. Arnaud tries to form a bridge with his body for Anna to walk across, but as soon as she attempts to move along he collapses and so too does she – fully clothed. Marat suggests that Anna could lose a few pounds, purely for the benefit of the task of course. Incensed, she drags herself soaking wet from the pool and heads inside to change. Meanwhile, Lindsay has successfully balanced herself on Dave’s shoulders and he carries her across. “GAME SET MATCH” Marat proclaims. They now must decide which charity their $10,000 winnings should go to. Dave gives Lindsay and kiss on the cheek; “I guess Americans aren’t that bad after all”. Lindsay hears the timbre of his voice though and it barely sounds like him. How she missed the old larrikin, free wheeling Dave!*

*It is not long before it is time for Marat to leave. He disappears through the store room door with minimal fanfare and the housemates feel a bit of an anti climax. “I expected a bigger exit from him” says Lindsay. “Maybe he isn’t the man we thought he was” says a bitter Anna, still angry over his sniping at her. Then startlingly comes another knock at the door. This time Marat is carrying a suitcase; “Can I stay for a few nights?”*
