Just what Slovenia needed ...

On the good side, maybe this way we will get to see Monica and Martina (or at least a Williams or two, but I doubt they will play first round).

Damn, I wished France would play Germany in Germany :(

Vamos Argentina!!

This should be a very close tie, or at least ir should be, if Paola decides to play. Otherwise, Sugiyama will probably crush the lower ranked argentinian players.

that's ok for switzerland. spain might be tempted to play on grass. actually there is only one grass court because martinez always thumps patty on it, but has lost to her on clay, but considering there is only one grass court in spain it is not likely. it will be clay i would think, and it should be a great tie.

Justine already said she won't play Fed Cup next year (she is not even certain she will ever play the Fed Cup).

Kim will decide later.

So it's not a done deal Belgium will win the tie against Croatia.

Let's hope Kirsten Flipkens can make some waves on the tour, otherwise Belgium runs the risk of not staying in the world group, what is amazing if you take a look at the WTA ranking.

Good Luck Croats! Hopefully Justine and Kim will not play fed cup next year, and Sprem, Abramovic, Jurak, and Talaja can win their fed cup!

Kim will decide later.

Kim has decided to play, she said so in her diary, she wants to help Belgium stay in the world group.

Kirsten will probably be in the team but I'd think Kim and Els will be the singles players, she may get a go in the doubles, but if it comes down to a doubles decider I'd put my money on Belgium's doubles combo being Kim/Els.

I am pretty sure no Serena, Venus, Lindsay, Jennifer or Chanda in Portoroz next year. USA again with Raymond, Stevenson, Shaughnessy and maybe Navratilova.

The venues must be decided by 10th January, but it seems that Spain will ask for more time to decide.......

Ruano Pascual plays for Spain not Argentina.

And Rome is a little bit faster than regular red clay courts. In Argentina's clay Sugiyama has no chance with Paola!.
