I mean...

You know. Like... Room for error.

Who has a risky style that only works when things go exactly right?

Alex maybe?

On the ATP tour I'd say Marat Safin for sure. I'm not so sure about the goilies. Amelie, you say? Hmmmm.

Lucic, Stevenson, and Williams all hit the ball very flat. Lindsay Davenport too.

Henin is SHOCKING when her game isn't working.

that's a compliment though.....it shows that her game is on most of the time

hantuchova, honestly

her shots either paint the lines consistently
or fly a foot out consistently
and she can't seem to make the appropriate adjustments

Alex Stevenson, Mirjana Lucic...Those girls are the Queen...

On top level the Williams are like that, MAria too...Daniela. That'S why I love them so much..They know how to take risks....

I think the Williamses, Hantuchova....generally players who go for the lines.

There was a time where the Williamses could be either brilliant or brutal. They would play so closely to the lines, that if they were off it wasnīt pretty.

But thank God, right now they can beat you in many ways....even if their shots arenīt falling, they can still find ways to beat you. Champion stuff.

If Venus and Serena have such a "small" margin of error between brilliance and disaster, and STILL have TEN slams between them, incuding SIX final appearances in slams against each other, perhaps their margin of error is not so bad.

I understand the premise though. Justine used to have many more errors than she gets lately. This is one reason she has risen top the top this year.

Thatīs why it says: USED to have a small margin. When they first came up, Serena and Venusīs margin was small. Then as their games eveloped to build in more margin, they become more successful.

No, it is completely untrue that the Williams "have no room for error and their risky games only work when things go exactly right". Afterall, how many times have you seen them pull out victories when they were playing well below the top of their game?

I think that it is true of Dani. When she's on she blasts the lines, but it doesn't always work. Her game sometimes seems kind of wild. Her propensity to go for the winner all the time (for better or worse) reminds me a bit of some of the male players, actually.

Can anyone say Patty Schynder? She was on most of Charleston 02, and she was amazing. But when she's off....

no but it really IS daniela
have you seen her play when she's off

the shots fly out one foot EXACTLY all the time
it's amazing how she does it
she definitely has the most risky style
and for the most of this year it hasn't paid off

it used to be the case for venus and serena, esp. venus
because serena always had the nasty angles
but venus learned to dampened down her power and it isn't the case anymore
