Thanks YS! Where'd you find it?

I think the two groups are pretty even. Maybe the blue group is a little harder than the red.

It's hard to know who will perform well, it's a bit unpredictable.

Shouldn't Justine be seeded #1 since this is based on the Porsche race ?

No, qualifying is by Race. Seeding is always by rankings.

So...

The seeds are

1, 4, 5, 7

and

2, 3, 6, 8?

HotSpot
Nov 3rd, 2003, 04:42 AM
so.. Dementieva and Myskina in different group?! GOOD !!!

ally baker
Nov 3rd, 2003, 04:42 AM
The site has a mistake...

October 27 rankings has Dementieva at #8, and Myskina at #9.

The site has it the other way around...

mishar
Nov 3rd, 2003, 04:47 AM
they're using the Nov 3 rankings

ally baker
Nov 3rd, 2003, 04:52 AM
I guess they are...

It does make a difference... because if I was Elena... I'd rather be in the Cappy group, then the Amelie one.

Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that these are the 8 playing? such a weak and uninteresting field for the Y/E championships!

tennisIlove09

equally weak on both sides.

And there is no stop to endless whining of Williams fans. Get over it. The eight best players who are capable of striking the ball right now are all there. End of story.

that's "certain" Williams fans. Let's not group them all together in the same category.

how is the blue group tougher?? Jennifer has been playing like crap since the Open, and Mauresmo and Dementieva have each recently won titles. Add Kim in there, and those are tougher matches...

how do they determine the SF matchups?

Nov 4th, 2003, 12:26 AM
how do they determine the SF matchups?

WINNER OF 1 GROUP (Q) PLAYS THE LOSER OF THE OTHER (Q)

SO IT COULD BE LIKE THIS

AMELIE 3-0
KIM 2-1

CAP 3-0
JUSTINE 2-1

SF= AMELIE VS. JUSTINE
AND CAP VS. KIM

(Q)---> OF THOSE THAT QUALIFY.
