Who thinks Venus will play?

I really think Venus will play this tourney. The WTA has to be offering her some mega bonus bucks because of all of the other pullouts.
This may help venus to prepare for the final eight showdown the following week or it could hurt her performance if she is not 100% and re agrivates her stomach muscles :sad:

i think she will. i think she has fully healed. and has gone through the hard times she was/is going through. she will be there, and will be there to win, and win the championships!

Ir we don't hear any news about her status for the tournament by late Friday, she is playing.

I would have thought it would have been in the press released this morning..but u never know.
I hope she plays because this tourney needs a headliner. Asmuch as i love AMY..SHE IS NO HEADLINER~!!! LOL

it'll definitely be a welcome return.

hopefully the stomach injury's cleared up.

if it hasn't, we could be possibly looking at a similar early retirement, similar to hingis.
............cuz venus's injury can't be repaired by surgery....apparantly......

Well when is the draw coming out? If she hasn't withdrawn by the time the draw is released then I'm sure she will play!

GO VENUS! Win the last two tournaments of the year and show everybody out-there who's the best player in the world! :)
