Hello Guys,

I have decided to cease my short-term as league table/PAW Organiser. It has been a hell of a lot of work, and for me that meant I was spending a lot of my "leisure time" working and working.

I am confident that there will be a team or a particular PAW player who has the ability to take over. For me, PAW is fun as a player, but not as an organiser.

I am available to answer any queries for whoever wants to take over, but I certainly want PAW to continue.

Cheers,
SpikeyAidanm

I can also help...

I tried to do the standing table and it is really a hard job... especially in the first days when you have many picks to deal with... it can take up to 2 hours a day!

Sorry to hear this Spikey
You have done a great job under difficult and at times unappreciated circumstances.
But I know my self how demanding time wise running Paw is.
Hope at some time you might return, and your succesor/"s can do half the great job you did.

All the best SPIKEY.
You did a fine, honest job that was certainly much appreciated by me. I am sure that I echo the sentiments of most of the players.
You will be missed.........you leave BIG SHOEs to fill.
xx

This is sad to see... I dont think many are capable of replicating your efforts, apart from maybe Simon.

Spikey

Will you continue to do the points spread for the matches, at least for this tournament?

Yes I will continue do the scoring points, but the players will have to cope with the late updates.

PAW FOR Zurich 2003 still not released

If you agree, as 2nd organizer I applied to handle at least for Zurich 2003 although its very hard for me. So I want anyone to help post temporary league table and give warning for late poster. I knew how to count the scoring pts but I have little different. When Simon handle this he counted well scoring pts based on current WTA rank. He counted projected WTA Rank before Monday when current WTA Rank released. I have no time to do it, because scoring pts must listed before Monday, so I will use last week WTA Rank. If not wrong, you also use this.

cheers,
sandg

I hope so, Azza or another continued this game. I just worried PAW for Zurich 2003 still not released, but I will ready to anticipate it when main draw released. The game must be continous.

I will put the scoring points for Zurich once the main draw is released, but I won't post the first post because I will not be doing the league table.

I hope you guys will accept my "late" scoring points updates.

P.S: Thanks for all the nice words in this thread, I had a lot of fun for that short period of time :)

For information, Single main draw R-1 started earlier, on Sunday 12.00 Zurich time.

I just want to let you know that next week I'm on vacation off-line from Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, therefor don't count on me for any duties for Zurich tournament.
I will be available for the tournaments after Zurich, but I find the big tournaments consume too much of my time and there's no way I will continue to do them alone.
I suggest that unless someone is willing to take this enormous task, we will alternate the duties between the managers.
If there are 4 of us and there are 2 tournaments per week, that will mean a week on - week off schedule which I believe is doable in the long run.
We have 4 weeks remaining till the end of the year. After that we can take time off and discuss the future of this great game.

And BTW... I need advise from Spikey or other experienced persons how to do the standings efficiently, quickly and especially precisely.

I can help you nitsansh, do you have Microsoft Excel?

By the way I promise I will run the Hopman Cup, Adidas International/Auckland/Hobart/Gold Coast and Australian Open tournaments because I am on holidays then.

I will help run some tournaments next year, I will let you know which ones when it gets a bit closer, I think it is best to spread out the workload between us :)

Yes, but I'm not experienced with it...

BTW... my record shows that you have no picks left in Filderstadt... is that right?
