Rio is the most beautiful city I have ever been to. In the world. It's my hands down favourite pick. :)

Buenos Aires is horrible :p

yes, and Montevideo too.
I love Buenos Aires, it´s so great and has been built from such different european cultures (Italians, Spanish, Yugoslavians, Croatians, Frenchs, Germans, Polish, etc). It´s an amazing city, but it has one terrible thing: the people :mad:
And Rio de Janeiro has the same defect, it´s full of argentinians! !!
The best city in South América is Buenos Aires, and perhaps Saô Paulo. But the most beautifull is Colonia!
