I heard that he left the show. Is that true? Not that I care because that is by far, the worst show on TV today.

I don't watch the show, I watched it once or twice, it is too not true. It has no plot...
and the hot boy got a lot talent to be acting on there.

I don't think he left. I can go check their message board. Maybe tomorrow. Last I heard they all signed 4 or 5 year contracts and this up coming season is the last that they are locked in to. He was not happy with his character (and who can blame him :o ) about two years ago and made a statement that he wouldn't do more than the mandatory seasons but hasn't said anything since. Money changes things.

Ohh and don't say that to anyone who is a reg on their message board.....They think it deserves Emmies and is only slighted because its a "gay" show....

Oh ROcketta I know! I watch the show sometimes, but only because I usually get to see my friends, have dinner and we watch it, but I still find it hard to believe that people actually think it is a quality show. Thanks for checking on the character's status. I also heard that they signed 5 years from the get-go, but although he is probably unhappy with the writing, he should be more concerned that this is most likely the last acting gig he will get.

They could probably easily find some cuter, younger twink to replace him.

I cannot imagine who would think that. Sometimes the acting is alright, but for crying out loud, it's a soap opera that mostly goes outside the actor's range. For example, Ted turned into a drug addict. Ya know, I always thought his "personality" and the general direction of his character would not have fallen into that trap. If they are trying to develop characters more, then they really need to tap into their "personalities" and really decide what would and would not work for them. That is one of my biggest problems with the show. There seems no logic to what the characters do, so how could someone really identify with any of them? With the Ted thing, I kep thinking that I would be shocked if I had a friend like Ted that started doing that. It just was not something I would think he would do, because it just was not like him at all. I don't know where I'm going with this, but it seems that the writer's just write without taking into consideration what the actor's can put into the storyline. SO many times in movies or TV, we think, WOW, no one can play that role like _______. These actors probably do not identify with their roles at all.

One more problem, that mother is so annoying and not typical. My mom is very cool about me being gay, but she does have her own life and has not decided that gay rights is her calling in life. Also, his mother has called him a "bottom". I think it's safe to say that like EVERY parent does NOT care to know what goes on in their children's bedrooms, gay or straight! I'm talking about grown-up kids there.

I think he has a degree from some University or something like that for acting, and besides, he already was in a few movies and I think he is currently acting in some other show. And as for finding some other cuter, younger twink, Da Backhand said in this thread he looked like a 14 year old in one of the pics, so I guess any younger wouldn't be right. Isn't he over twenty or something.
I wouldn't kick him out of my bed anyways, he is sexy.

I thought Charlie Hunnam was cuter as 'Nathan' than Randy Harrison as 'Justin'.

I really don't find any of them that attractive. Brian maybe, sometimes. Since I am gay and they are gay, I will be superficial for a moment:

Justin - ugly hair and teeth
Brian - he is cute
Michael - cute little body, busted face
Ted - what a difference a personal trainer makes. Still, he looks hagged.
Emmitt - They keep searching for a hairstyle that hides his receeding hairline
Ben - he is cute, though annoying

Is that it? I dont know, there have been a few cute guest stars. I won't get into Sharon Gless, thank god they use a soft lens on her.

This is one of the most pathetic shows on television. No depth, no honesty, no character integrity just trash all the way. As a gay man of color I am for once glad that no people of color are on this show!

This is pretty sad because their are not that many quality gay shows on television and even fewer which depict people of color and fewer with gay people of color.

six feet under rocks

will and grace is funny sometimes.

there is a gay character on the street or the wire but i never watch those shows so i can't comment.

oz was interesting but situational homosexuals are not gay. and by the end of oz it was more over the top than queer as folk.

heres my rundown of the qaf characters:

Emmitt - queeny is fine but who is this over the top?
Brian - something rubs me the wrong way. looks do nothing for me.
Michael - dork.
Ted - whine whine whine whine... get over it already.
Ben - i love robert gant he looks like my ex drool but even he cant get me to watch that show.
Justin - bland white boy with no personality

Ha, you wouldn't believe it. First off they are so jealous of Six Feet Under. They think that show is the reason QAF is getting slighted. Of course they think QAF is a better show and that the guys on QAF is more realistic gay men.

Ok since you went there I'll go there with you. :D QAF has some of the worst writers I've seen on TV. Your right they have zero character development and continuity. The whole Ted drug abuser thing had already been done by them so why go there again? It would've been one thing if they made him become an alcoholic but no way that man that was in a coma over drugs and went through the painful relationship with Blake would then himself decide to do drugs. LAME!! Then let's see the whole Temmitt relationship was a complete cop-out. When one can not think of something to write for two characters throw them together even if it doesn't make sense and they have zero sexual chemistry. I mean the Ted/Emmett story line makes the Brian/Justin storyline look plausible and well written.

Ok wtf, were they thinking when they came up with the dynamic duo /super gay dectives storyline??? That was about as lame as Brian saving the day and buying tv ads that swung the election. LOL, was this a drama or a spoof of a soap Opera?

Then after they make Justin smarten up and realize he deserves more they make make him cow tie and beg Brian back? WTFF! I wanted them to get back together but could Brian have grown any to accomplish this?

Debbie is a horror even worse than Andra from Boy Meets Boy, oh wait Andra's real so she wins hands down...

Only positive, Vic got a boyfriend and Michael whole storyline didn't revolve around lust for Brian.

Rocketta, I should go check that board out for a laugh sometime! The only characters I sort of like are the lesbos, but now they've gotten to be too much. I just cannot imagine how two mature sucessful lesbians with children would be tied up with party-boy, drama queen friends. What gay people go out every night?! Ok, some do, but they are serious alcoholics and total burdens to society. Another thing-they are all sucessful. I sure hope that they highlight Justin having to pay for his student loans after he finishes school. Maybe he will even default on them, but it would never be that realistic. How does Michael go from Kmart to his own business?! Pu-leez! Emmitt works at what, banana republic, and somehow that pays for his gorgeous apartment. Their problems are always "them against the world" which is another problem, haha. Justin gets gay bashed, but in every other episode, you would think the whole world is gay because they hold hands, kiss in public, never interact with straight people (except the homophobes)
It really is all in the writing. I thought the writing got a little better (it was filled with horrid cliche's) but I swear, they have people that live in a bubble writing for that show. People watch the show because, well, there is no alternative, and to some degree, it is slightly amusing/entertaining - but its not like Melrose Place (which I truly miss!) where you just dont know how bizarre it will get (but MP really did it in a delicious way  ) I really don't know what to say about those people that think this show is snubbed unfairly.

omar on the wire. modern day i am the american dream robin hood. you should watch sometime. hes most peoples favorite character, thou not mine.

ive only seen qaf once, when we had showtime free for a month. showtime is like the white trash, cheap version of hbo. they think by having lots of sex, they can cover up for lack of depth and character development. pitiful.

You know what the hard core fans that post on that site just don't get that the quality is in the details not in the flashy shot scene that didn't amount to anything in character development ala almost every Babalon(sp?) scene.

How about how Melanie is the lawyer for all occassions and stinks at every one of them.

How come Justine was poor when he was with Ethan but then could afford to live with Daphane? Also, offered to loan Brian money? Huh?

How about Ben saying last year to Debbie he has been positive 5 years and then this last season he said he was positive for 3 years...:o

Showtime's message boards are so confusing. They start a new board every show and then people have to start threads all over again. So they start a nitpick thread every show. You will not believe the inconsistencies that plague this show.

Oh remember when Brian takes Hunter back to Michael's after he brings the used condom to Brian ( ) well when they are at Michaels fussing, Brian has a white shirt on and then he has a black shirt on then he has the white shirt again. It was so obvious.

I'll find a link to that six feet under thread and their board in general.
