OMG what a turd he is!! "All British women are ugly and have bad teeth". This is really depressing coming from a supposedly well travelled (and therefore one would hope a less ignorant) American.

According to Sandra Bullock the lovely Ben has bad breath, so :nerner:

Not trying to be Anti American or insulting here, but reducing myself to Ben's level for a moment, when I was in Texas last year I saw plenty of ugly people with bad teeth. Poor Ben obviously lives in Planet Showbiz these days. :cuckoo:

I've developed an intense hatred for Ben Affleck ever since I saw 'the sum of all fears.' The worst 3 I've ever spent .

And that L'Oreal ad :explode: .

There's a difference between a preference and a misplaced generalisation. If I was to say I'd never date American men because I don't like fat men, you'd probably set me straight.

Silly, you should know that unless he said that about blacks... then it's perfectly fine.

Wow, how did black people end up the subject of this thread? Oh yeah cause someone has issues.... :cuckoo:

...maybe you'd like to elaborate on that point... :)

not that you don't know already...but Fantasy Season and Willow were referencing the double-standard that you can criticize anyone but blacks and it's alright. meaning you don't risk being called a racist for having an unpopular opinion. at least that's what i got out of it.

but about ben affleck...why would anyone jump on him about this? most movie stars are so sterile and terminally PC, it's nice to see someone have an opinion for once. i don't agree with it, as i've seen plenty of pretty British chicks, but it's nice to see regardless.

I wonder if Ben would ever get with a black woman since he has had problems with white and Hispanic women?

What double standard? Please point to posts by the people who posted before him that criticized other posters and called them racists? How or why would anyone other than people with first hand knowledge of this issue post in here, ie I've never been to England or met an English person so I can't say they all have bad teeth and I can't say they don't all have bad teeth. So why would I condem or criticize Ben Affleck. Not to mention there is no actual quote. We are just suppose to take the thread starters word for it.

That is so lame......and :cuckoo: and it was a stupid post trying to cause an argument over a subject that this person clearly must have issues over.

rocketta...you've been posting here for a long time...surely you know there are some people who would jump on you if you said anything derogatory about either of the Williams sisters, and a few of those people would accuse you of being racist. look at countless threads in GM for validation. it happens.

good point about the quote, though...me wonders if he actually said it....

No I'm not saying there aren't people who have done/will do that. What I'm saying is none of them posted in this thread so how could there have been a double standard? Wouldn't one of them had to have praised Affleck's comment for there to be a double standard?

although he could've said it...

Assuming the quote is real:

Bottomline is, he made a gross generalization and nobody likes those, especially when they are stereotypical and negative.

If I were a Brit, I would be offended; as I am not, I am amused. :p

it is kinda strange....but *shrug* that's WTAworld for ya.

This is true, and frankly i could care less of a shit. I don't tend to care what others say about the US b/c most of it comes out of jealousy.

Stop it people, you really are stretching it.
