2 of Lina, Dinara and Likhovtseva.

Lina is currently the next in line to move into maindraw. if she doesn't get in auto, then she'll get a WC.

Dinara was entered Tokyo this week.
i think she's changed her mind and is relying on a WC here now.

Likhovtseva probably but most likely it will be a junior player.

I am not sure about Lina or Elena. But Dinara will get one. Tarpishev would not want to piss off Marat at this point..

Dinara doesn't like to play in Moscow (someone posted before), so it willbe a bonus for KC organizers if she agrees to

I'd rather not a Junior getting a WC-Main Draw. IMO, it's too risky and they need the points. Hope it will be Lina, Dinara and Likhovtseva, they have the chance and experience to make it into the next round. How about the WC-Qual that's interesting too.

Isn't Paola actually next-in, not Lina?

From eurosport.com:

WTA: The top two seeds, Americans Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams withdraw from the Kremlin Cup starting in Moscow on Monday

Does that mean Lina's in the MD now?

TheBoiledEgg

that all depends on if they get another Gold Exempt Player(s) in to replace them.

but she should be in.
they might get one player in at last minute.
i doubt if the Belgians will come :o

Two of them are Russian for sure ( Dinara and Elena L. ). One , I guess, will be held in case some big name turns up at the last minutes. but who could it be at this point..

I am sure WTA is workig hard to get at least one more Top 10 player for this tournament. Only three Top 10 players is a shame for a tournament of this magnitude, though, I guess it could improve attendance, because a Russian finalist at WTA tournament is now almost a certainty. But the way this field looks, it could be a walk in the park for Elena D.

Don't think so. They are still young girls.
And it's very hard for Russians to play each other in Moscow.
It's smth. special for every of them and for Alyona too.

Eggy, with 8 of our players already in maindraw, do we have 5 more players available?

Safina is lock for a wildcard, but who else? I think, now it can go to Kirilenko or Jidkova. And three qualifying WCs would go to Jidkova or Kiriloenko, Duchevinva and, I guess Fokina/Voskoboeva/Kleibanova. Or maybe Kulikovskaya?

i think there is a possibility of Mary Pierce getting a WC,
she is on the gold exempt list after all, but the other two are
probably Safina, and hopefully Panova:(but probably
Maria K as she had more impressive US Open run,
and is also underranked....and isnt she in Yugene's tennis team?

Damn why doesn't Conchi apply for a WC?????
The tournament seems nice for her  and she's a former champion.....

ys we got plenty of players

anyway i'm sure we'll get Jidkova, Vera D and Maria K in without a WC in qualies
that leaves door open for
Linetskaya, Voskoboeva, Vesnina, Fokina etc.

last yr we had 10 girls in qualies (4 WC)
lowest ranked player in qualies without WC was Ekaterina Sysoeva (201)

How about Linetskaya. She won this years 25 K in St-Petersburgh. One can't rule out she gets the WC-Main Draw.

i would be dissapointed if the players eggy named didn't get in to either the maindraw or qualies through WC. i think they are all deserving of it. i was hoping that bastrikova and afinogenova would get qualiy WC's this year but unfortunately they have both had poor years.
