:) :hearts: :bounce:
Well she hasn't pulled out as of yet. The funeral is over and done. Nothing to do now but to try and move on.

I thin Venus will pull out too. It would be nice to see her play but it's probably too soon for that.

Whatever she decides,
I'll be cheering her! :)
I think friday will be the latest that we get
confirmation of her plans either way.
I must say that it was quite a surprise to me
that she hadn't pulled out already, which may
mean that she is still contemplating and not rushing
to make a decision either way.
Does anyone know when the
draw supposed to be drawn?

I don't know what Venus will decide but I am sure it will be the right thing for her :)
ALLEZ, GO VENUS :hearts: :hearts: !
Sep 23rd, 2003, 05:07 PM
It's only natural that she will have mixed feelings about entering.
Venus were all behind you either way!:)
Sep 23rd, 2003, 05:17 PM
I hope Venus doesn't withdraw, but I think she will. I honestly tought she would have withdrawn by now, but maybe she is getting advice from her parents as to what to do.
Sep 23rd, 2003, 05:54 PM
As of now, I wouldn't be surprised if Venus herself doesn't know whether she'll play or not. I don't think she's bothered about pulling out at the last minute, and in this case she's quite right too ;)

Whether she enters next week or next year, it's going to be tough. Once she plays the reality of actually moving on is a tough thing. But, I hope that she is doing ok.

Davenport and Venus Williams pull out of Kremlin Cup
2003-09-24 10:24:24 GMT (Reuters)
MOSCOW, Sept 24 (Reuters) - The top two seeds, Americans Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams, have pulled out of the Kremlin Cup, tournament organisers said on Wednesday.
Davenport, ranked number four in the world, has been nursing a painful foot injury for the last few months, while sixth-ranked Williams has been troubled by a lingering stomach muscle injury, which forced her to miss the U.S. Open.
Williams is also mourning the death of her elder sister Yetunde Price, who was fatally shot in a suburb of Los Angeles earlier this month.
"We certainly understand their motives," said Kremlin Cup director Alexei Selivanenko.
World number seven Amelie Mauresmo of France is now the top seed in the $1.3 million WTA tournament.
The Kremlin Cup starts in Moscow on Monday
