Party diva Pink will on Nov. 11 release her third
Arista album, "Try This." The set, which features a
number of songs co-written with Rancid frontman Tim
Armstrong, is the follow-up to her breakthrough album
"M!ssundaztood."

Armstrong co-wrote and produced eight tracks on the
set, including first single "Trouble," which will be
sent to U.S. radio outlets Sept. 29 for airplay
consideration. Armstrong also had a hand in "Tonight's
the Night," "Save My Life," "Humble Neighborhoods,"
"Walk Away," "Unwind" and "Oh My God," which features
X-rated rapper Peaches.

The album also has three songs -- "Catch Me While I'm
Sleeping," "Waiting for Love" and "Try Too Hard" --
which were written or co-written by Linda Perry,
Pink's collaborator for most of "M!ssundaztood." Billy
Mann wrote and produced "God Is a DJ," while Damon
Elliott co-wrote and produced "Love Song."

A video directed by Sophie Muller was recently filmed
in Los Angeles and will be the subject of a Sept. 29
MTV "Making the Video" special.

---------------------------------------------

Superstar Missy Elliott is currently in the studio working on her new album, This Is Not A Test, which will be released on November 25, according to MTV.com.

The first single from the set is "Pass The Dutch." This Is Not A Test is slated to include guest appearances from Jay-Z, R. Kelly, Alicia Keys, and Busta Rhymes, and the production of Timbaland.

This Is Not A Test is Elliott's fifth solo set. The rapper's last release, 2002's Under Construction, peaked at Number Three on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In related news, Elliott is one of the artists featured on the forthcoming compilation from Violator Management, V3: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly, which hits stores on December 9. Many of the artists represented by Violator Management which is headed by Chris Lighty will appear on the set including: Elliott, Mobb Deep, Lil' Mo, Capone-N-Noreaga, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, G-Unit, and the recently re-united A Tribe Called Quest.

WOW! Missy album seems a bit rushed. I hope she doesnt spout out some rushed shit, I dont think she would, but it stinks of her making her shit while its hot.

As for P!nk, I wonder how Rancid fans will react to it. Do you think she can become a punk rock Icon. NO! Anyway I heard the first single the other day and it aint bad. I think it will take time to like.

Missy and Timbaland click unbelievably... I know her first album was made in 6 weeks.
She is also working on an Aaliyah tribute album, which is supposed to come out at the end of this year.

Devil - you know i'm a huge aaliyah fan, but i'm concerned about the whole "paying tributes to Aaliyah" thing. don't get me wrong, Aaliyah is just :worship: and one of the best RnB singers ever, but it's been over 2 years now, and it seems like they are trying to make all the money they can off her? i know that some of the money is going to funds, and that's great. but it's like they're taking advantage of her death....

I've heard "Trouble" by P!nk,... and it's ok. Not my favorite. It's good, just not great.

Fat(;)) - I know what you mean, but I don't think its the case. Missy truly loves Aaliyah, they were best friends, and Missy has her in all her videos someway, and dedicates her awards to babygirl. Besides, Missy has enough money. Missy is just keeping Aaliyah legacy alive. "one of the best RnB singers ever" :fiery: one of the best? THEE BEST :)

Later Fat

Maybe she has TOO many songs recorded ??
In that case, I think it's a fabulous idea, since she is currently hot, and if she has left overs, why not throw them out. She would have to get rid of them sooner or later, why not why she is popular. And left overs are not necessarily bad stuff, it might be just that it didn't fit the theme or whatever to her last album. I am pretty sure this is the case, since I can't see her working on something while she still hot.
Just my 10 cents.

I like it when u call me a

I like one song from Pinky, and it's It's just like a Pill.
but that's about it.
Missy's songs are funky, she never makes the same song(u know what I mean), she is original. And her videos are nuts, off the hook.
See ya Fat.
