According to a published report, the New York Times is going to report tomorrow that Michael Powell, son of Colin and head of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) will step down after three conntroversial years on the the job. As far as I am concerned, godd riddance. He was bad news from the start and his departure couldn't come soon enough for me.

I don't follow US politics that closely...what didn't you like about him?It wasn't that he probably only had the job because of his father was it?

No. It is obvious he got the job becasue of his dad, but he made some decisions that would wipe out network TV in the US plus he fined a radio station $7,000 for playing an unedited Eminem song. But he has no problem with some network stations using profanity on their shows.

So I will be glad to see him go.
