anybody watch religiously like me?

Oh man I love that show. They had two of my favorite people in the world tonight.......Saul Willimams (the guy from the movie SLAM, basically the originator) and Smokey Robinson(I've always loved Smokey and tonight he only solidified that feeling).

My favorite poet on the show ever is Black Ice, I luvs him.

Oh and the theme music is kick ass....:worship:

I think the new season just started. I'm lucky in that I had HBO onDemand and they had all of last seasons so I got to watch them at my leisure. Last night it came on after the Bill Maher show.

Yeah I know what you're referring to and that was very tasteless and tactless of him. However, he has held true to form and he says what he thinks no matter how bad it is for him and that was a prime example.

 @ angry white boys doing the spoken word. I do like the guy who talks about hip hop though can't remember his name but he was in that movie white boyz.

Sorry Miss Rocketta I aint ever seen it :o but I do gotta question since u into it. How come the sista's who do the poetry all talk in the same way? It's mad hard to imatate in words but they all got that same flow that is nice but it get on my nerve that they all sound the same (like as if there was only 1 kinda flow in spoken word). U know what I'm talkin bout? Like on both Soul Food and Girlfriends they had Spoken Words episodes and they did the same thing. The sista's say they poems in this quiet sleep voice and it just get on my nerve. :o I thought they would have diffrent flows like in hip hop.

hmmm, I know what kind of flow your referring too and no its not my favorite but the women on def poetry jam don't all use that cadance. Some do but I would say most don't but I also think it depends on the subject matter of the poem.
