YES SHE'S REALLY PLAYING!!! :worship:

Here some quotes from her today's interview:

American Lindsay Davenport, the number three seed, is now hoping to get through the remainder of the season before undergoing surgery on a swollen nerve in her left foot.It has been bothering her for several months and she hinted during the U.S. Open that surgery was imminent.
But she said on Monday: "I'm going to go until I feel I can't go any further, because at this stage of my career it's hard to sit out months and months at a time.I would like to try and play once or twice more this year. It's hard to keep having time off, and I think indoors is my best surface and matches are typically a little bit shorter, so I'm optimistic."

She was trying out cars today ;)

Stuttgart. Lindsay Davenport (USA), one of this year’s Porsche Tennis Grand Prix’ top seeds, took some time off from tennis to inspect the new Porsche Cayenne S. The No 4 was highly enthusiastic about the SUV: "I must try the Cayenne, I’d love to jump in and drive it right now.”

The 340hp Porsche is one of the cars at the tennis elite’s disposal during the tournament held in Filderstadt, close to Stuttgart, Germany. 18 of the world’s top 20 players have turned up for the traditional tournament and will compete for prize money totalling 650,000 dollars - and the main prize, a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet.

Back in 2001 Lindsay Davenport took a 911 Targa back home to Laguna Beach, California. The 27-year-old sais: "I love the car. It’s great fun driving a Porsche, the handling is agile and safe, and the power is enormous. It’s a real fun car.”

Lindsay Davenport considers the Cayenne to be the ideal partner for the 911. "Maybe”, said the American, "I can pursuade tournament director, Udo Cervellini to swap this year’s 911 for a Cayenne. But there’s a lot of work ahead before I can start thinking about things like that. "

As Davenport was given a first round bye she will enter the action in the second round, when she will play either Ai Sugiyama (Japan, No 12) or Anna Pistolesi (ISR, No 21).
