Hope she is.

She needs to put the US Open loss behind her and remember she played great tennis and move on.

Let's kick ass the rest of 2003 Jen-Jen :bounce:

Sure she is, unless she is injured or something. That would be the best thing for her to do. THE TENNIS DOCTOR SAYS---GO OUT AND PLAY :bounce: A true champion after falling down, gets up and goes back out there :bounce:

SHOW US WHAT YOU ARE MADE OF GIRL :bigclap:

Sharapova could also be dangerous for Jen. Hopefully Jen will win this though!!!

Sharapova would not be that difficult for Jen. She hits hard, Jen likes that. Plus, she isn't as consistent as Jen.

 Don`t know! Jen is my fave but I didn`t know she wants to play Shanghai. I like it, the more she plays, the more I can see her matches... :bounce:

Jen is shown on the tourney's web page, but it is in Chinese. Does any know what it means???? I can't even decipher! She better play this tourney...golden opportunity and a chance to put that devistating USO loss behind her with a tourney victory. Another 300 points if she wins and she will be on Lindsay heels for #4! Who would have thought after her poor showings at AO and RG!

Yes, she can win this. Her attitude is improving all the time and the way she's playing dont see any problems.

Jen is on the front page of the homepage but the news is of Aug 14, saying that the organisers have received the confirmation of showing from Capriati, Sugiyama, Dokic and Martinez. No news of whether she pulls out or not.

Comfirmed!!! Capriati has pulled out because of shoulder injury. Dementieva replaces her and joins Shanghai under WC

Sure! Elena Dementieva is seeded No.1 of Shanghai.

How long a trip is it from Bali?
Elena could use more points to get to the L.A. championships.
#1 seed in a tier II is a good situation for her. If she's not exhausted from this week.

Edit: If Chanda's playing, they must be flying there together.

Im thinking that she's probably still let down from the Open, and its not so much the shoulder. But good for her, no need to go into a tourney and lose in the first round if she doesnt want to be there, or she truley cant be due to the injury... Just pick up another tourney this season Jen!
