View Full Version : Finalized FWTT Year End Committment Lists - Check here to make sure everything is ok.

VSFan1 aka Joshua L.

Here are the final lists. I know there will be bitching, but I really don't give a fuck. It took me 4 hours to do this on a Saturday afternoon of my free time that I rarely have anymore. So if you are pissed, kiss my fucking white ass.

To all those who are grateful, I love you :hearts:

Remember, I gave half the wildcards and Alek will give the other half. Pending wildcards are in italics of tournaments that have pending wildcards.

ALSO, if you did not get into an event and want to change to another event that has space, post here ASAP as it is a first come-first serve basis.

Joshua

PS - I did this fair. If you don't believe me, then I feel sorry for you.

Thank you so much Josh! :worship: :bounce:

I'm pretty sure I commited Banaszek to the $50K Mexico City Challenger, I will go check now ;)

BTW, I know it isn't your fault, so to Alek: You CAN'T give all the top 8 players byes at the big events next year:mad: ! It is unfair to up and comers because they are pretty much stuck at the challengers forever. In fact, I say we do away w/ byes all together.....

Bryanne played her debut year in 2001 and reached Top 20 at end of the year because she had a great results in challenger tournaments. So, you should try winning challenger tournaments because it help you get some bonus points! :p

 so many mistakes. Sorry to the players who I've messed up on. I will fix them.

Thanks for the kind words, don't mean to be such a bitch, but I was really tired yesterday ;)

Now let me address a few questios/concerns:

Elizabeth Hawkins - you did enter the Mexico ITF but you asked for Zurich as your first choice and you got a Qualifying Wild Card there

Zerene Fernandez - I did that to be fair to other juniors who haven't had the opportunity of many ITF events in their hometown. You will probably get MD WC into 2 events and a qualifying WC into the other.

To Slutina Spears, Yadira Mendivil, and Marta Bajul - unless Alek grants special consideration, I am leaving you off for wild card requests as you are juniors with a pro player and this is not your home country or in any relationship to your player.

Sep 8th, 2003, 03:09 PM
she's a junior, there are a million Aussie events in the year, and she should be thankful she is even in the event given the fact that many players don't even have a tournament in their country to get any sort of wildcard.

Emilie Joubert would like to ask about a WC to Denain MD as it's her home event (if she still will be this number 1 in qualies...) and also AIG Japan Open or (and..? ;) ) Seat Open Luxembourg Main Draw (or at least qualifying in Japan) wild card as not many people asked about it I think... If I could do a few small adjustments  (sorry :o):

1. Could I request a WC into ITF Bordeaux?
2. Could I request a WC into Japan Open Qualies? If not, please move me into Moscow Qualies.
3. I committed to ITF Mexico City (the first) [ http://www.wtaworld.com/showpost.php?p=2302031&postcount=7 ], but I'm not on the list. My ranking still gets me into the main draw, so can you please add me?

Sorry to bother you Josh!

Elke - you are listed as Belgian.

All other WC requests - ask Alek. I will not update the pending lists anymore.

I suppose it's too late to do anything now, but just for the record...I've never claimed Elke was Belgian, and if others think she is, it's not of my doing.

http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.php?t=44797

That post stating my nationality and details has not been edited since late last year, around the time I joined the junior tour.

She is also (correctly) listed as Canadian here:

http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.php?t=78472

I honestly appreciate that doing what you do with this game takes a huge deal of time and effort, and mistakes will creep in owing to the sheer number of players involved in this game. However, I have not once even *thought* of requesting a Belgian wildcard because of my perceived nationality, and if I am going, from now on, to miss out on Canadian wildcard opportunities through something which wasn't of my doing, then, well....
