Thanks for these! BTW all shades of blue actually go with each other well. Shades within one colour range tend to match well. I think Jelena's outfits are lovely.

The first outfit shown on Jelena Kostanic is actually my favorite one yet. :)
Kournikova's looks nice, as always; great top. But the skirt is so low it seems to begin right around the top of her butt-crack; too icky if it slipped a bit! :eek: (But of course since she's not actually playing, it probably won't slip.) ;)
The other outfits shown so far seem uninspired and uninspiring. :(

Maureen must be getting tired. This is the second good outfit she's worn this year. I hope this doesn't mean she's going to retire.

She promised to come up with special outfit for the usopen. It's a nice one, but special? maybe if you compare with the red ones she's been wearing all year ;)

One more thing. This morning the commentators where saying how Maria Sharapova helps design her outfits, Daniela Hantuchova has also said this in the past. Arn't they wearing the same outfit in different colours. I have never seen them wear exclusive outfits (maybe dani's black cocktail dress) they are usually wearing outfits that other players are wearing too. Do they have any say in the designs? Do players who have no interest or not big enough names where designs other players have designed for their sponsor? do my questions make sense, i'm having trouble expressing my thoughts?

dani had a wimby outfit that no one else wore.
im surprised they just didnt change the color on that one and have her wear it here.

Angela Haynes also looks good, I like how her zipper is down, but she should be wearing a different colour underneath to stand out more, maybe white.

To me, Anca's outfit is the nicest I've seen...that star spangled banner Fila outfit- UGH! Is it a dress? Kim please don't wear the silver lame :eek: I like the outfit Kim had on yesterday better than the all blue- i also got to see it in person.
ugh at Maria's pepto bismol (sp?) outfit- it has the opposite effect- i want to puke!!
And since Venus & Serena does design their own, everybody suddenly designs :rolleyes: I think its to the extent of- do you like this, the color- good- you had input! Maybe Dani & Maria collaborated on the design- whatever... Dani didn't look sick in person at all but I still don't know what the hoopla is about- she ain't gorgeous.

This whole thing about player input into designing their own clothing didn't start with Venus and Serena. Chris Evert had a lot of input in her clothing design. She always had a different outfit than anyone else. On the whole, she did a good job. I still remember that darling white shirt and skirt she wore at Wimbledon one time. It was so crisp and light. A traditional pointed collar and little cap sleeves.

I think this is the best collection of women's outfits that I have seen all year. Obviously there are some duds like the old Fila outfits still hanging around and that horrible frilly thing on Dani and Maria's dresses, but all in all I would give the Open a 9/10 fashion-wise.
If I have to sinlge out one look it would have to be Amelie, she looks absolutely amazing, stunning. The colour and cut suit her completely.

I loved the dark apricot (burnt orange?) dress that Meghann wore last night. It looked like she had rolled the waistband over and pushed it down so it would be low on her hips. Meghann likes to show off her abs. :)
