Pamela Shriver

Hardly any point asking this really. Everyone knows I am.

Oh please, even Sue would say Pam is the greatest.

PamRockz. She's my fave Pammentator. I love her.

Yes, but I missed it. I didn't know I was in the presence of such greatness...oh, Martina Nav was standing nearby too, but she's a no one.

Puh-lease!

I'm the greatest. I invented the tour, the women's game and everything. I even invented Jen's hair-do from yesterday.

I love Pam, she's witty and funny. I like her fro too.

Bill, I know according to yourself you are creator of the universe but I'm still better than you. Period. Get over it.

Virginia Wade

Nay, one believes one is the finest of them all. I'm sorry but none of you youngsters even compare to myself - HRH Virginia of Pink Cardiganshire.

Well, both Pam and Ginny are colleagues of mine so perhaps I would be the best person to comment. But I'd have to give the upper-hand to Pam. Whereas both Ginny and I have managed to build our post-tennis careers as former Slam winners, so we come with a level of achievement, Pam hasn't been able to. Sure she may have some Slam dubs titles, but it's singles titles that matter. So I'll give the edge to Pam. She may not have been a champion on the court but she is certainly a champion in the Pammentating booth.

Sue, Lisa, Virginia you are all deluded :fiery: Je suis le greatest!

Oh please...you may be the greatest at whingeing, but that is all.

Virginia Wade
Aug 24th, 2003, 10:40 PM
What is that vile Ms Tauziat rabbiting on about? Most indecerous. One cannot understand a word she says. Its all French to me.

Suzy! Must say, I loved your presenting at the athletics today. Your hair looked like a crash helmet. Curb your flirting with those young gentlemen though, let me warn you. I saw you giggling at Michael Johnson when he was regaling the group with tales of his flexing muscles....

Madame Barker do not think you are the best just because you won le French Open. Le draw was weak that year, I remember you well because you beat my grand-mere in the 3rd round :fiery:

The fine Mr Johnson is an excellent analyst for the athletics broadcast. I find him very engaging. Besides, he knows it's either me or Clare Balding, so I'll flirt away.

Virginia Wade
Aug 24th, 2003, 10:53 PM
I'm rather fond of the Balding girl, she's fine breeding and knows an excellent race horse when she sees one. By jove, she should be fronting these televisual programmes these days instead of those frivilous roughians like Catherine Deeley and oh whats his name....Jim Bowen.

Ms Tauziat, I once played your great great grandmother and she was even more vile than you. It obviously runs in the family.

So much discussion on who the greatest loser is! No wonder I've not been mentioned.

ClareBalding
Aug 24th, 2003, 10:59 PM
I'm the world's worst loser.......

.......in weight. My constant battle with the scales put paid to my jockey career before its hooves even left the ground

Bill you were always a hero of mine when I was a nipper. I had posters of you all over my wall along with horses, although I could never tell you apart.

billie_jean_king

Oh very funny! The difference was obvious. One was a fat, ugly, grunting, hairy gasbag. The other was a horse.

ClareBalding
Aug 24th, 2003, 11:12 PM
And you forgot to mention the fleas and ticks, quite obvious from the poster of you playing Martina at wimby. How jolly silly of me not to realise the difference. I must be mad. Next I'll be fronting awful daytime DIY tv shows despite the fact that I'm a sports presenter.
Ooops.

Virginie, my great great grandmother was a legende :fiery: Zut Alors! She was une junior when she beat you!

Also Madame Wade, Mademoiselle Deeley is a relative of moi, Nathalie Tauziat. The resemblance is uncanny non?

Ms Deeley, who I watched when I was in England during Wimbledon, is a very fine looking woman. She bears no similarity to you and your horse features Nat.

Is that Wendy Turnbull?! Why did they call you Le Rabbit Wendy? Surely Le Rhino is more suited?

It's nice to see some people truly appreciate Fed Cup. Too many people these days think very little of it, but I know how important it is.
