it was usual to play with white ball til the 70´s
then they changed it because of the TV

the german Tennis federation celebrate his 100th anniversery
and so there is a limited edition box with white tennis balls from Dunlop
2X3 balls in a nostalgic box
i got such a box on my birthday today

and so i want you to ask

have you ever played with white tennis balls?

I don't think it was just TV. I think that they did tests that showed the yellow balls were easier to see......... but maybe it was TV.

I do think it was tv that made them change the color.
My dog had a white tennisball to play with, lol (and he never made it on tv  ) :p

I've played with white tennis balls. Slazenger, I think. White tennis balls and hardcourts are not a good combo. They basically stay white for about 3 seconds, then they're gray.
