Alonya Kloniekova arrived in Conneticut today, and took part in a press conferance, and tennis clinic. Kloniekova, who won the doubles title in Toronto last week is excited about her debut apperance at the event. "I like the atmosphere here, its a small setting, but with the excitment of a really big tournament." Although many of the top players such as Dorissya Morkovina will not be appearing here, Kloniekova says it wont make a diffrence. "At this stage in our careers, we are all at diffrent stages, so I think definatly anyone of the players you see, either in the main draw, or the qualifying draw, could be future world number ones." Kloniekova is one of the many players who will draw crowd attention, along with doubles partner Slutina Bendenova, and Slutina Spears, due to her admirable endorsement portfolio. Alonya possed for photographs with children in a junior tennis clinic organized by Mastercard, early this morning. "I think its important that you take time to talk with your fans, or just fans of tennis, because they give us the opportunity to do something we love. Things like this clinic are for the fans, and not about us". Kloniekova will face Alek Hewster in the first round.

omg great first week for me too!!! Although i lsot in the final round of qualif, I used my Lucky loser place really well!!! I hope I continue and go far in that tourney!!!
