OK, Im so f*ckin pissed right now cause I wrote an awesome 2 page report for today and when I tried to post it, it got deleted. So Im not gonna even attempt writing another one and getting it deleted again :fiery: so if you guys wanna know anything, just ask :o.

Here are some pics I took today. My battery ran out during the day so I dont have a lot of players  but I promise to take more tomorrow.

Magui vs Tina was my favorite match of the day. I saw the whole match. Tina played flawless tennis in the first set. Her powerful and surprisingly consistent forehand did a lot of damage and she used her wicked slice well. She was serving very well also. Magui on the other hand looked unsettled and made some errors. She was doing horribly at net.
The second set was the best. Both players were playing well and Magui was finally showing us her talent. She was doing better at net and using her touch and her awesome serve. She broke for 4-2 but Tina leveled it at 4-4. Magui broke again for 5-4 and served the set out. Magui took control in the third set and Tina looked tired. The score would indicate that the match hadn't taken very long but it was very long because of all the deuce games plus the 25 stroke rallies. Tina would throw up desperate lobs and Magui would always hit overhead winners. Magui broke twice in the third and took the match 0-6 6-4 6-2.
The match had everything, long rallies, drama, and racquet breaking :p. Tina needs to try to keep her emotions from showing so much.
Both of these girls have incredible one handed backhands which they used to pass eachother at net. i dunno y they dont use it more often, they should.
I got Magui's autograph after the match and I told her "Great win Magui" She said "Thanks" and then said "Whoo, that was hard" I told her good luck in the next round and she thanked me again. She's seemed like a very nice young lady.

Thanks for posting the pics. I think you've discovered what a lot of tennis photographers know - Jelena Dokic is photogenic for many different reasons. Looking forward to more pics! By the way, posting pics as links instead of using the 'img' tag is better. Good idea.

I saw Bovina vs Molik first set. It was the best quality match all day (at least the first set). Both players were palying very well. Alicia was serving well and hitting getting a lot of balls back. She would be aggresive at the right times and she hit winners off both her forehand and backhand wing (her backhand was quite good actually). Elena was so aggressive hitting swinging volleys and painting the lines with her strokes. I swear, she had like 100% first serve percentage in the first set, lol. The first 4 games went to like 10 deuces each but at 2-2, Elena took control. Alicia was still playing well but she couldn't do anything but stare when Elena hit backhand winners point after point after point (literally). She hit these winners from all over the court, some crosscourts painting the lines, others down the line. Alicia was very consistent today and judging by the second set score, it was probably as good as the first.

Meghann played like complete shit but Jelena played very well. Jelena would have won easier if it wasn't for Meghann's first serve. Jelena hit very hard and she would come up with offensive shots from all over the court. She was surprisingly consistent but still had a few loose errors here and there. Her serve held up well, and she aced Meg a few times. But she also had a few doubles which is normal. Meghann had some brilliant points but they were scarce. She would have games where she hit the ball out by like 10 feet more than once.

Thanks so much! How is Casanova playing? The girl seems to have huge talent, she bageled Silvia!

Casanova is awesome. I saw her in the morning practicing and she was so agressive. She is very overweight though :(. Anyway, her match against Laura. She was hitting winners left and right. Her serve is very big and she pounds her groundies close to the lines. Laura couldn't handle Myriam's power and I was surprised by that. Laura didn't play or maybe she was intimidated. She won only her second game when Myriam was serving for the match at 6-1 5-0 but that didn't matter. Myriam pounded a forehand return winner on the line to break Laura and win the match.

Dani was the first player I saw in the morning. She was practicing with her coach and she has a great body (for a model) but too bad she isnt one. She really needs to gain some weight (she def looked skinnier than when I saw her here last year). It seemed that she has lost a lot of her power to. She was hitting overheads and they had no power on them whatsoever. Not to mention that she had like no control on them. Her groundstrokes looked good but again had less power on them since the last time I saw her. She also needs to work on her footwork. I really hope that she gains some weight soon cause its unfortunate that she is really wasting her talent.
I will try to take pics of Dani for you when I go tomorrow.

Players don't talk to ballboys... especially when they look like Angie WIDJAJA (INA).

thanks M! realli nice of you.. tho i cant argue with the fact that Daniela HAS gotten skinnier.. i went to Rogers CUp this year and saw her match and practises... she has some power but not a whole lot...

Good Luck today! i'll be waiting for you report! ;)
