View Full Version : I want Lina K. in Kim's half of the draw.

They would probably meet in the 3rd or fourth round and it would be interesting to see if Lina will do Clijsters in once again or if Kim can manage not to choke and get by her new nemisis.

Kim is not injured nor will she have being "tired" as an excuse because she will have about three weeks of rest before the Open.

I agree, it is like when they "seemed" to line up all the players that gave Venus trouble on her side at Wimbledon. This would be a good test for Kim.

While this would be interesting to see, I think Clijsters would take out her wrath on Lina K, much like Venus did to Zvonareva at Wimbledon.

Apparently one match now makes a nemesis. Hopefully Vera Zvonareva is far away from Venus. I don't want anyone knocking Venus out before it's time.

Except Zvonareva beat Venus at the French Open (a grand slam) not a Tier I warmup event to a grand slam.

VENUS already took care of Vera.

Kim has yet to take revenge on Lina.
Kim may not get over the pressure to take out Vera if they meet because kim does have this breathing problem in big matches. :)

I know, but revenge is sweet no matter what. I don't think Clijsters would be nervous in the third round. Unless of course, Lina K takes over the match early.

Zvonareva won't do it. No reason to think Henin or Clijsters can do it. Is Davy going to knock Venus out??

Kim would probably crush Lina, just like she did in the first set before she felt tired.

Exactly Kim won the first 6-1 but then the last 3 weeks caught up on Kim, if they were to play again Kim would be fresh and able to maintain her play for a whole match.

ANd Kim lost one match, that does not make Lina a nemesis

I think that Kim will really be looking to duck Lina K. and really hopes that they are in opposite halves.

Kim WAS tired that day  . I don't think Kim would let Lina K. beat her again and that too in a GS

Diya - I guess you had your energy meter pointed at Kim's azz to come to this conclusion, eh? :p

Well, getting tired can make it diffult for one to breathe, thus making one choke when expending an exorbetant amount of energy, hmm? :)

lol...don't be surprised when all of a sudden the grand slam field is reduced to 16 players by the time you start watching the Open :p Kim has been resting 4 days...she'll be playing again in one week time...1 1/2 week of rest ;)

I can't believe that YOU , a Williams fan can't understand how a player can get tired by playing 4-5 weeks back to back .

Oh wait ......the Williamses get tired after playing just one week ......ok so i know why its hard for you to understand.

I'm afraid all threats to Kim must be removed and placed in the opposite half of the draw - I think it must be a clause in her contract or something!

LOL@ Momofan :)

Diya - VENUS & SERENA have other things to do inbetween tournies, i.e., movies, parties, house decorating, dating sports stars and getting nails done.

That is tiring shit, babe and you don't hear them bitching about it, now do you? :p LOL :)

Kim actually has a tennis playing bf so that should make it even more tiring , nah ?;)

Kim has been decorating a house, her house she has built it in Belgium, she does date a sports star- his name is Lleyton, and if you think Kim doesn't go out and enjoy herself well you don't know much about her then.

I hope Lina is in the same patch of the draw as Kim to, so Kim can prove you wrong.

I heard that Lina is anxious to prove that her thrashing of Kim was no fuke and wants to be in the Belgian's draw in the upcoming Open.

What? Where did you hear that? I don't think Lina would say something like that. But I do hope there will be a rematch in the 3rd or 4th round of the Open.

a 1-6 6-4 6-1 win is not a thrashing
And more like you want Lina in there cause you are desperate for Kim to go out early, but even you know Kim will play better in New York and will b fresher

And I really doubt Lina said she wanted to show her 'thrashing' wasn't a fluke, and also that she wants the number 1 seed in her draw, with the confidence she has she could make round 4 with a good draw, but if Kim is in there you know will Kim will play better

This is just another one of Tee's "pull people's strings" threads, although I admit he's acting even more stupid than usual. We all know Kim was tired in her loss to Lina, maybe just like Serena was tired in her loss to Kim at LA. But even though Tee can't do math, he can figure out that Lina won't be beating Kim at the US Open.

Lina K is capable of beating Kim again in the future but I don't see her doing it again in this years US Open. Although, I hope Lina does well because I have become a big fan of hers since Toronto. Not just because of her talent on the court but she handled herself very well in some tough 3-set matches with such poise and maturity. And what is there not to like about Lina? After just looking at her and listening to her talk, she is just adorable.
