Final Tribal Council

http://utenti.lycos.it/magiclindsay/Thumbs/varie_14_small.JPG

Hello to Monica and Tiffani :)

Welcome to the Final Tribal Council.

This time, the power shift from your votes to the members of our Survivor Jury - who you, directly or indirectly, have had a hand in botting out of the tournament.

It is totally up to them who wins this tournament. This is a chance for them to address both of you to help them make that final decision.

Monica and Tiffani can start by making a first appeal to the Jury.

I will ask the jury to vote for one of you to win a set, in a five set match. Each of the set will correspond to a certain aspect of the game that the jury would feel that one of you best accomplished.

set 1 - Outwit
set 2 - Outplay
set 3 - Outlast
set 4 - Relationship and Bond
set 5 - Worthiness to Win Survivor

For Example -

Jury Member A might vote like this

set 1 - player 1 name
set 2 - player 2 name
set 3 - player 1 name
set 4 - player 2 name
set 5 - player 1 name

The votes would be revealed via a final Survivor Match where a vote corresponds to one point per set. The one who wins the Survivor Match wins the tournament and is the sole Survivor of Survivor Siquijor.

I will open this thread until the Jury have all decided.

Thank you and Good Blessings to all.

Please adress each of the 5 catergories.

My opening statement:

You guys have no idea how greatful I am to be in the final. As you know, I am a huge fan of the game itself and that I spend a lot of time thinking on how I should play the game. Some of you may have thought that my style of play was underhanded and this time around I definitely played with fire and got very very lucky. When you make your decisions, I want you to look back on how this game played out. The winner of this game should be someone that has put in effort in all aspects of the game: strategy, effort in both team and individual immunities, building relationships, and winning those matches to stay alive.

Leslie:
The five criteria that you have to make your decisions on are perfect. They capture the pure essence of the game and I took each one very seriously throughout the game.

Outwitting: The twist Lindsay-Anne introduced where the player that received the highest votes plays the player she voted for made this a game of wits. I spent a great deal of time working on a strategy on how to play this game. As you know, I tried an agressive approach that put me in some jeopardy, but I managed to survive didn't I.

Outplaying: I won two crucial individual immunity challenges to keep myself safe. I worked very hard and won them when I needed to.

Outlasting: Last season I didn't receive a single vote and finished third. This season I played 4 survivor matches. If that doesn't prove that I can outlast anyone, then I don't know what will.

Relationships: As for relationships, I think this is my weakest category. Since we started as three separate tribes, I found that I did not get a chance to get to know members from other tribes. However, I had very strong relationships with all the members on my tribe.

Worthiness: I can't tell you whether I am worthy to win this game. That is your decision. If you think worthy means, doing whatever you can to get yourself to the final 2 and a little help from lady luck, then you can see that is what I did. If you think worthy is getting to the final 2 by mostly luck but never stepping on anyones toes, then that would not be me.

Monicas opening statement

'Well i made the final two which is a great shock and suprise to me.But i am happy to be here. When i started playing this game i thought i'd be a target and maybe i was but i stayed by winning tennis matches and voting strategically sometimes for the weakest players sometimes for the strongest,so basically i could stay longer.
I may not have played all the individual immuinity challenges but to me they weren't important i
considered the vote and playing the tennis match more important after all this is FWTT-Survivor.'

And now to answer Leslies question

ok Outwitting- well when my alliance memebers started to argue with other game players and were being voted off one by one.I realised i had to back them up but not make myself a traget which i did. By being witty in this way only one of my origonal alliacne members made the jury.

Outplaying-Well i won 2/3 survivor matches to stay here and i let my tennis do the talking.

Outlasting-Well theres 2 things i can sya here.One- i got to the final two which means i out lasted 16 other people who played this game and in another way i was in an alliance with 4 other people and only one made it to the jury an that was Gianna who was voted out early on.So i outlased the members of my alliance by laying low winning the tennis matches and voting the way i saw fit not the way people told me to vote.

Relationships-In this game i developed a bond with Gisele Noventz,Anna Kroulikova,Gianna Adrianna-Dulko and Janw Wong-These were my alliance members when the tribes murgded into 1.All but JAne were in my origonal alliance. And i know without these 4 players i wouldn't be here now so i thank them all for everything they did to get me here.
In a way aswell i developed a slight relationsip with Tammi Sugarn with about 9 players remaining we made a deal to keep each other informed and not to vote for each other.I believe i kept up the voting part of this but with so little players remaining i knew nothign that was going on.

Worthines-We'll the fact that i got to the final 2 means i am worthy but its down to each jury member to decide who is the most worthy.I believe i am worthy because i won 2/3 survior matches.I won the most important individual immuinity challeneg to get to the final 2 and i tried as hard as i could to gain immuinity for my tribes.
In the other individual immuinity challenges i didn't see it as that important to win them.If i was voted for i knew i could win the tennis matches. There were certain players that were desperate for immuinty because they were desperate to win this game.Although this would be a great game to win its not the most important thing to me.Friendship, family and happiness are more importnat!

Sabine wants to know (please remember it is Sabine's first Survivor, so her questions could be boring or idiotic):

What is more important for you or what aspect fits better to you- please only one answer for every number:

1:
-a: the Survivor helped me to find more friends on tour
-b: the Survivor finished some friendships

2:
-a: I voted for the weakest link in my group
-b: I voted for the toughest link in my group

3:
-a: I will win this one for myself
-b: I will win this for all the survivor players

4:
-a: I will try to play the FWTT Survivor next year, too
-b: This will be my last FWTT Survivor

5:
-a: In the Survivor Matches I played my traditional gameplay
-b: In the Survivor Matches I changed my traditional gameplay

6:
-a: At the beginning of this FWTT Survivor my tribe was the most important thing for me. I was only a member of the alliance and we (my alliance) should win this.
-b: At the beginning of this FWTT Survivor I tried to find some friends in my tribe to create an alliance. We just want to stay together, the rest could be voted out.

7:
-a: If I would win this second Survivor, in my last words I would thank the jury for chosing me.
-b: If I would win this second Survivor, in my last words I would thank the organizer for his great work.

8:
-a: My opponents in my Survivor Matches were good players, but I managed to win with my powerful tennis.
-b: My opponents in my Survivor Matches were tough players and I am glad to survive.

One more question to Tiff only.
Tiffani, I felt that when Jane was voted out you took over power of our alliance without consent, well my consent anyways. I felt that your motives were selfish and that you put me in danger when I got voted into the tribal game. Obviously it wasn't your fault, as I should've stood up and told you I didn't agree, but the one time I did that you told me everyone else agreed with you. It was ultimately my fault that I was voted out. Afterwards communication between you and me was cut-off it seemed. But I want to know if you truly felt I was a friend, or if I was just a pawn to help you win. Either way your answer will help and hurt you, but I would like to know the truth.

1: a: the Survivor helped me to find more friends on tour
This is true for the most part. Thanks to the last survivor I became friends with Paula Masterton, Marteena Huubere, Jane Wong, Sandy Vicario, and several others. This survivor my friendship with Jane was even stronger. I met Leslie Ann Messay and Catherine Pierce among others. Unfortunately, the only friendship that ended was Tami and mine.

2: b: I WANTED to vote for the toughest link in my group
In order to win Survivor, you need to outwit, outlast, and outplay. There were several girls that were a lot stronger than me, like Eva Sorrenta or Catherine Pierce. I wanted to vote them out so that I would be the strongest player left. However, I did not have the opportunity, so I usually voted for the players that I knew did not vote for me so I wouldn't have to play a survivor match. I voted strategically.

3: a: I will win this one for myself
I don't really understand this question. Survivor is an individual game, that's why there is one winner. Just like in tennis. Did you win Wimbledon for everyone? If I were to lie and say that I won this for all the other players, I am sure they would all just roll their eyes. I played to win this for myself, I think that is why everyone played.

4: b: This will be my last FWTT Survivor
This is already my second Survivor. Last time I finished third, and now I am in the final 2. I don't think I could do any better, so this will be my last one.

5: a: In the Survivor Matches I played my traditional gameplay
I don't really understand this question. When we go on the tennis court, I always play my game. My style has taken me to #3 in the world, so I am confident with that. My game play in Survivor is always changing, but I think that is what you have to do to win.

6: a: At the beginning of this FWTT Survivor my tribe was the most important thing for me. I was only a member of the alliance and we (my alliance) should win this.
I don't really understand this one either. In the beginning, I made a very strong alliance and I was fond of everyone. We wanted to go all the way to the end together. I would have been happy for any of them to have done well if it couldn't have been me. Unfortunately, we got a bit unlucky. Jane and Leslie were voted out too early. And Ana Maria just at the end.

7: b: If I would win this second Survivor, in my last words I would thank the organizer for his great work.
If the jury picked me, I would hope it's becausae they voted honestly and thought that what I did these past few months deserved the title. Lindsay Sarile put together an amazing game and worked so hard. Without her efforts, this game would not have been any where near as good. I would definitely give her the most thanks.

8: b: My opponents in my Survivor Matches were tough players and I am glad to survive.
Once I went to the Survivor match, I was just happy to survive. I played some incredible players like Eva Sorrenta, Anna Kroulikova, Gianna Dulko, and Catherine Pierce. I definitely did not expect to win any of those matches. That was a lot of luck.

Leslie:

I am devastated that you feel that way. I had no idea that you were so hurt. First of all it was true, Jane was working very hard as the leader of our alliance. I was sitting back and letting her do all the work. However, things got a little messed up and she was voted out way to early. Then I felt the need to take control. I am really sorry but I can't remember the exact circumstances to when you and I didn't agree. All I know is that the way I was voting, I was trying to ensure myself, Ana-Maria, and yourself to the final 4 at least. I felt terrible that you were voted out and I was really upset about that. However, also without your help in the beginning, I could never have gotten this far. As for our friendship, I would definitely say that it means something to me and I didn't realize you were so upset with me. I have been very busy and have not spoken to many players. You play mostly junior events so our paths do not cross very often. But I definitely consider you a friend.

1:
-a: the Survivor helped me to find more friends on tour
This time around i made friends with Gisele Noventz who i hadn't spoken much to in the past.Anna Kroulikova who i had had a disagrement in this game last year with.I started to speak to Gianna again i just lost contact.

2:
-a: I voted for the weakest link in my group
By group do you mean alliance or tribe?Well i never voted for any member of my alliance and in my tribe it was actually a mix first we voetd for the person who didn't help us in the tribe then we voted whoever was left.In the merged tribe i voted for mix from about 10-5 i voted for who in my opinion were the weaker players and shouldn't take part in the game anymore. As it got to the final 5 i voted for the people i thought were my strongest competition'

3:
-a: I will win this one for myself
And all my alliance members who helped me to get this far.

4:

-b: This will be my last FWTT Survivor

I'll be in uni next year and will most likely not have the time to play:sad:

5:
-a: In the Survivor Matches I played my traditional gameplay
I played hard hitter tennis all the way and fought with every last ounce of strengh i had.Thats whta i always do.

6:

-b: At the beginning of this FWTT Survivor I tried to find some friends in my tribe to create an alliance. We just want to stay together, the rest could be voted out.

This is the only way to stay playing survivor otherwise i would be a target. In a way i was invited into my alliance and i was very greatful for the chance to join.Thanx people!

7:

-b: If I would win this second Survivor, in my last words I would thank the organizer for his great work.
Sorry bu jacs had worked so hard he deserves all my thanx!

8:
-a: My opponents in my Survivor Matches were good players, but I managed to win with my powerful tennis.
Well thats the way i play so....

Monica and Tiffani : If the twist wasn't part of the game, who do you think would've won? Without the twist do you feel it would be a better representation of the true survivor? Also; Out of those of us in the jury who do you feel is the least desrving of making this choice on the winner?

My question for Monica, how come you never partiplated at almost all immunities challenges and you're in the final. Why you don't try these immunities before the final challenge? It would be great if you tell me honestly.

For Tiffani, I would like to say congratulations once again. Anyway, I remember you betrayed my sister, Bryanne last year. I wonder if you ever lied to anyone for this season? Also, one more question for you, your votes based on what?

OK, that's all.

Tennis124
Aug 17th, 2003, 07:43 AM
Tami:
If this twist was not introduced, Jane Wong would have won this game. She was playing smart and had everyone in her corner.
I think that the winner with the twist included would be the real survivor. The definition of a survivor is someone that can withstand anything. The person that was able to adapt the best to the twist is the true survivor.
I don't think that there is anyone that is least deserving on the jury at all. There are members that I think may not deserve to be in the final 2, but everyone on the jury deserves to be there. If you are going to make me choose one girl, I would have to pick you, Tami. My only reason is that coming into the merge, you were the only person without an alliance. And that it may have been luck for you to make the merge. I do not know what went on with the other tribes, but all the members of my original alliance deserve to be here. However, if you made it by luck, then you do deserve to be there.

Tennis124
Aug 17th, 2003, 07:49 AM
Catherine:
Yes. I lied to one person. I lied to my best friend on tour, Tami Sugarn. I told her that I would vote for you, Catherine, I believe and then I switched my vote to Tami. I do regret it. It ended a friendship. But I hope that she understands why I did it.
I simply voted on how I thought I could keep myself and my alliance alive as long as possible. I didn't necessarily vote for the weaker or stronger. It depended on who I believed the other players were going to vote for because of the twist.

Monica_Rules
Aug 17th, 2003, 11:48 AM
Tami first:-

I don't know who would have won really even if the game is played to the usual rules anything can happen people can betray other people.People can form new alliances in order to win!I don't think either way with or without the twst would show a better survivor. To win this game you have to adapt to whatever rules are thrown at you , and the fact that i managed to get to the final 2 shows i can survive new rules that were throen at me.

Whos the leats deserving to be on the jury? This is hard i could look at this two ways and say.Whoever the first person onto the jury was ? Sorry i don't remember who because they participate in the game the shortest or i could say Catherine Pierce as she played the game well and only got pipped right at the end and wasn't able to get to the final 2 where maybe she should be.

Monica_Rules
Aug 17th, 2003, 11:52 AM
Catherine:-

Well for the indivudaul immuinity challenges once my last alliance member Gianna had gone i didn't see winning immuinity as important. If i was going to be voted i'd let my tennis do the talking which it did as i won 2 or 3 survivor matches.
Winning immuinity wasn't the way i wanted to win.By winning immuinity you make youself a target if you don't win again and again.
But i did win the most important one and that was the one to reach the final 2 i spent a lot of time.As you well know.Posting on the board.

You and I go way back. I don't know if you remember, but I have followed your career way back when you started in juniors. I have always been a fan and glad to see that you have rose through the ranks. I respect you very much as a player, and we have a good rivalry on the court. As a Survivor player, I targeted you early because I thought you may be weak. I figured that you were young and possibly naive. I thought that I could scare you into voting the way I wanted to. I was wrong. You decided to stand up and fight and luckily for me I squeaked by in our Survivor match. Very easily the tables could be reversed and you could be where I am now. I hope that answers all your questions.

What a load of bullshit. THis is coming from Tiffani, who acted with one of the most arrogant attitudes towards juniors that I have ever seen. She was always asking, who's this, and who's that. You expect everyone to believe that you never followed juniors with the exception of Kroulikova? I suppose you follow Larouche too?

I would appreciate people not involved in the game to keep their mouths shut.

However, I will explain myself. When the juniors started, I was in charge of it. And there were a couple of juniors at the time that I took a liking to. Anna Kroulikova, Nicoletta Lapentti, Hong Da-Jung, and even Carmen Prado. Then I had computer problems and I lost all of the junior information, so all of those players were promoted to the pros. (Also the players I mentioned did not already have pros playing). As time went on, all the pro's started to have junior players and have the juniors playing in the pros. That is when I got fed up. That is when I got sick of seeing the junior players, and I started losing to them in the Grand Slams. I fully support the brand new players on tour. And it is true, since last year I had much better results, I played only the top tier events, so I do not know who many of the newer, younger girls are.
