Magui has been having some disappointing results since May, but last week at the AT&T Cup, Magui produced some excellent results, beating Pisnik & 11th ranked Maleeva :) Let's hope for more of the same here, as Magui climbs her way up the rankings to the Top 20 :) :worship:

Good Luck!

!VAMOS MAGUI!

Not too good draw, but it could have been worse...depending on the qualifier, there are some really tough

Best of luck to Magui! She has a tough draw, especially since the qualifying draw is so tough that she could draw a really good player in round 1. Hopefully she'll manage to win a few matches here and get some confidence going into the US Open ........... You'll be pleased to hear that I'm stocked up on painkillers just in case that's not the case though! :p

Vamos Magui!! :D

Will Tina be really tough? ;) I hope they don't meet!! Even here we can't follow live scores.

Let's hope that Magui does get a good draw, meaning against a low ranked right handed qualifier ;) And then 2 very tough opponents to choose from in Petrova & Maleeva, and I would prefer her opponent to be Petrova, because Maleeva will be wanting revenge ;)

Caz, I also have stocked up on pain-killers (extra-strength) for the coming weeks & also some anti-depressents just in case Magui loses in R1 of the US open again! ;)

VAMOS MAGUI :)

Oh, no, again Tina... (that means one of the best Magüi's fans cheering foe the other player ;))

I hope that Magüi can win again, although it will be tough ( I hope that tina is a little bit tired ;))

No. Magui was up 4-2 but then it was 4-4 and then broke again and held for 6-4

OMG, I had heard on radio that Magüi had won, but I've been shocked when I've seen that 0-6 ;)

Ooops, Tina and Jorn are going to start 'hating' Magüi...

:bounce: Let's lifted my spirits after Jane's loss

Well Doen Magui :D :D Who does she play next? Is it Davenport? I've not looked at the draw :o

BTW, Magui plays Cho in R1 of US Open, I hope she can win that and continue this suprisingly good form ;)

I've been posting far too much tonight, it's just nerves for tomorrow ;)

Caz

Yes, congrats. Magui at beating Maggie once again. What a co-incidence that she had to play the same two people two weeks in a row. An easier win against Maggie this week though. :D :worship: Yes, you're right, next up Davenport - I didn't check the draw either, but was looking on a website for scores and there was an article on the main page saying Davenport would face the winner of Maleeva/ Serna.

So, Jane lost? I hadn't checked the scores. Has Lucie played yet?

Magui lost 0-6, 5-7. Oh well, at least it was a good try in the second set....(shame about the 1st set though! :p )

I guess that's not too bad a score against Davenport, so I'll refrain from :banghead: for this week! ;)

Best of luck to she and Alicia in the doubles later...I'll wait till morning to find out the result I think.

:topic: pdm1987- Congratulations on your exam results and in finding a job! :D And Anne and Arvind made it through to the final round of qualifying too. :bounce:

Congrats Magüi for the doubles victory, it's a shame your first set against Lindsay has spoiled a bit your day, but well done, I'm sure this year in USO you will do fine:bounce:

Magüi & Alicia won in doubles?!?!? Hang on, how?!? :p Nah, just kidding, but what an unexpectedly great result!!! I watched Leizel & Maggie playing at Wimbledon, though they aren't a in the league of Kim & Ai, Vivi & Paola, or Lisa & Lindsay, they aren't exactly a bad team either, so I didn't really expect Magüi & Alicia to win this...and it straight sets too!!!! :worship: :D

Best of luck to them against Bartoli & Casanova today! Let's see how they do!

Vamos!

(1) Virginia Ruano Pascual / Paola Suarez (ESP/ARG) d. Alicia Molik / Magui Serna (AUS/ESP) 76(6) 63

 for Magui, but :bounce: :D :worship: for Vivi and Paola, who I did want to win this one, (sorry guys, but they need all the points they can get before they have to defend their USO title! ;) )

What a great tournament Magui and Alicia have had though! Who would have thought they'd defeat the #2 seeds, reach the final, and force a tie-break in the 1st set against Vivi and Paola!! I very impressed!! :worship:

:topic: Sorry to hear about your e:mail MS, hope you get it all sorted and working properly again soon!
