The Belgium Fed Cup Team normally will be Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin-Hardenne, Els Callens, Caroline Maes (or would they choose Kirsten Flipkens?).

I'm wondering how it will be in the Belgian Team, since Justine and Kim doesn't seem to be friendly any more

im sorry but this HAS to be on hc! the exact reason i dont want it in Belgium! France....hmmm...they could do either h or clay since the Russians are good on both (but better on hc)

i believe sky sports will show it if its in the US...i mean look at who made the semis/finals last year.....thats not a ratings-puller in England

Interesting the ITF said to Spain, that you can host the final only if its not on clay

so that means they should say to the US that they should only get it if they dont host it indoors or on hard.......

when do we know who plays?

Juju_fan
Aug 8th, 2003, 03:20 PM
The announcement of the host country will be made during the US Open.

Concerning Belgium, Justine Henin-Hardenne is reluctant to play if it's not in Belgium, but we never know...

DEETHELICK

I think we can guarantee Elena D and Myskina on the Russian team.

Belgium will most likely have Henin and Clijsters.

France will rest on Mauresmo and Dechy's shoulders.

Belgium vs Russia final, with Russia finally winning! :)

A Belgian crowd booed Younes El Aynaoui in Davis Cup against Morocco, but Younes was not fair play in this match and was "rude" to the crowd... ;)

Iv' read an article in a Belgian newspaper, and Belgium will have a 2,000,000 EUR budget for the event (btw, it's more than 2,000,000 USD  ), all is done to have the event held in Brussels, I think we have good chances to get it...

great smash

I think the euro is worth about 10 % more at the moment. Europeans are going strong!

I never got my so many pond sterling for my euro's as I did last week

I'm not so sure about that. At the diamond - tournament in Antwerp, Venus wasn't booed at all!! She also said in many interviews she loved spending time around Antwerp because of the shops, the diamonds and she loved the Belgium chocolate.

She played one year to Henin, the other year to Kim, and the public was supportive. Ofcourse they were chearing for the Belgians, but there was a hugh applause (twice) for Venus when she won.

If it would be that bad, we all know they just don't show up the next year and Venus promised to be there in 2004.

Anyway, Clijsters already officialy confirmed to play, Henin probably, depending where the happening will be hold.

Have you never seen the match between Venus and Kim. From half thought the second set they where booing Venus nearly every service game. When she missed a 1st serve the cheered it was mad

Actually, I did. And obviously I have another interpretation, but that can happen. Anyway I'm still convinced that if it was that bad like you're saying, Venus just wouldn't return (for example Indian Wells).
