I really prefer ELENA ... when you have a so gorgeous name, there's no utility finding a nickname or a new name.

Elena in Russian sounds way too official. The short form of this name - Lena - is suitable, but I don't like it either as too many Lenas are around. Anyways I called her Alyona more than 100 times in 4 years and she never said that she doesn't like it.
