View Full Version : VENUS will win the U.S. Open ... In 2004!

TeeRexx
Aug 6th, 2003, 07:40 AM
... if she comes into the event at least 85-90% healthy.

VENUS has been the concensus #2 player in the slams behind her sister and she dominated the remainding top ten players over the past two years and especially in the slams.

However, with her lower ranking, she could meet other top 5-8 players in the quarters or even the round of 16 if things get strange.
VENUS will be extremely motivated to play well and win, not only for herself and the opportunity to earn her 5th GS title, but she will also be doing it for SERENA and Williams family pride as well.

So, a healthy VENUS could stop this party that has begun when SERENA withdrew and make the U.S. Open the 5th straight Williams U.S. Open.

Venus will win. She would have won Wimbledon had she not been injured. Serena said so herself. If Venus is healthy, Venus is the champ

LOL@ Da Firehand!!

It is amazing how easily many so called experts are throwing the title up for grabs since SERENA withdrew, but prior to her pull out, the same were predicting another all Williams final fest in NY.

If VENUS can play, she is the clear favorite over the two Belgians whom she dominates. :)

A case can now be made that Justine Henin-Hardenne is the second best player in the slams at this point. And Juju plays Serena better than anyone else, too.

But if Venus comes to the Open at 80% healthy and can cruise in the first week. She'll be in good shape to win the Open again.

I'd like to see you present your weak case. Rember Venus has beaten justine the last seven times they've met, including a 3 and 3 thumping at the A.O. Last time I checked that was a grand slam event.

The word is "consensus", Mr Computer Genius, and I find that interesting considering her ONE title (Tier II) in the past 50 weeks.

Something I've been very curious about, but I keep forgetting to ask, doesn't one of the Williams sisters have anemia? Which one, and how bad is it?

TeeRexx
Aug 15th, 2003, 05:19 AM
jojo - Neither sister is anemic.

However, the way Clijsters got smacked down in Canada, SHE may be the anemic one. :) LOL

Sanneriet
Aug 15th, 2003, 06:11 PM
Actually, in 2000 or 2001, Venus said she had a problem with anemia connected to her diet. I believe it has been corrected.

TeeRexx
Aug 15th, 2003, 06:18 PM
VENUS was not anemic, she just didn't have enough meat in her diet.

Now, she has a bf. :)

Actually Tee Rexx has a point. He said number two player In the slams Justine Henin-Hardenne was not in 5 or the last 6 finals. Venus Williams was. Her game was smokin and getting back on track at Wimbeldon before the reinjury and I was looking forward to an awesome encounter with Serena at Wimbeldon before the injury.

Serendy - Thanks for your comments.
If SERENA is the clear #1 for winning 5 slams, shouldn't VENUS be the clear #2 best player for being in 5 of 6 finals?

If VENUS plays in the Open, she will surprise many people.
But not me. :)

That's what I figured. I have to wonder if it bothers her a lot more than she leads on. She seems to get bogged down an awful lot by injuries so if she is bothered by it more than we'd all think, I really would feel bad for her.

I dont think Vneus would have won wimbledon if she was fully healthy - he injury didnt really effect her too much untill the thrirds when Serena was cruising - she could still hit her groundstrokes. Although I think the usopen could be an early christmas present from serena to venus

I can't figure out TeeRexx's psychological problems, being that he sits in front of his computer, posting in his own threads, writing VENUS WILL WIN EVERYTHING EVER in obnoxious capital letters, and he's been doing it for quite a while. Perhaps it is a lack of social life, or maybe he was abused by his father and that's why he is such a hermit, or maybe he has low self-confidence which is why he is the cockiest poster on this board, or maybe he desires attention.

Regardless of his problems, it will be a sweet, sweet day when Venus loses at the Open, preferably to a Belgian, because TeeRexx will never live it down.

Yes, the Belgian will triumph just like they did at Wimbledon... Oops the sisters beat them down comprehensively at the semifinals of Wimbledon.

PM - Can you imagine just how gutless someone must be to get an alias to a computer handle to hide behind while they bravely cast out insults from their little keyboards?

Also, it is strange how you, er, em, described me by subconsciously describing your own life of abuse by daddy, living by yourself and hiding behind secondary message board aliasis.

Truly a pathetic piece of shit you are.

If you don't want to read my post about VENUS & SERENA - Don't come in the threads and especially - Don't post in the threads.

TeeRexx

joaco - Jinxing is belief in the supernatural and bordering on paganism. I believe in free will.
I think positive and always will.
I will never go around like a pathetic, scared mouse, unwilling to think and be positive.

I also thought this way as the WILLIAMS accululated 10 GS singles title as well. :p
