All the top players need to run out and hire Pat Etcheberry to train them.

At least Monica should re-think a few things and get back with Pat

I agree, but I don't think they would all be able to do so (injuries).

And with the exception of Clijsters and Anna Kournikova, I don't want the top players to reach Henin's level, or higher. Not that Henin's level is the highest.

I have tought about it a lot. I think that the players (male and female) should do everything (legal) they can to improve their game. I think Henin is doing that. But not all players do it.

It's funny, Jennifer Capriati was training with Pat in 1991 and 2001 (her best years on the tour).

Now that's what I call a plan Miss Cybelle! Pat the one that got Miss Nav's Taco Bell-eatin ass to the gym and y'all know the rest.

until they significantly improve, the rest of the tour is SOL. Justine is not my favorite but she is an amazing tennis player. After all, how often do you see a pro player improve their service power, percentage, placement, and lower double faults in a year?! Most players sacrifice one for another. Amazing.

Serena did that last year and took home 4 SLAMS while at it!!

No. She doesn't serve harder than she used to, or better than she used to in general, actually. She's always had an excellent serve.

Minus the service power, I would say Venus Williams from 99 to 2000

They the Williams don't have to improve (when at their best). Thank God Justine finally got a game plan to keep hope alive in the tour. Otherwise this year would have been a massacar.

Actually, it will be a massacar minus the French Open.

Justine did actually improve on her serve a lot. And she struggled at first after making the change around early 2002 I think...she got drilled by Hantuchova at Indian Wells

It worked out for her in the long run though.

yea I was so pissed when Justine lost in the Us open to Hantuchova in that tie-break in the 3rd on a smaller court:(:(:(!!!

They haven't got the infinite determination of Justine.

Actually, she hits more winners that Kim in the last matchs.
Have you seen her last match
Have you noticed how she won a game at love with blistering returns on a service game of Kim :o

Pam Shriver stated during the Acura final that Navratilova apparently saw ways in which to beat Henin while watching the semis. I wonder what she discovered?

It's easy, put THE FUCKING VENUS WILLIAMS across the net. justine doesn't need to be stopped, she's not dominating.

I dont know about 1991, but in 2001 it was not Pat, it was Karen Burnett

She does have a wealth of tennis knowledge that many of today's players are missing out on. Martina was the first #1 to actively enter statistics about all the top players around her into a computer and use the computer to assist her in scouting and game plans. That kind of thing is old hat nowadays, but imagine what kind of historical database on playing styles she must have built up!

That┤s exactly what I was going to say! wanna stop Justine?! Put Venus across the net! After the AMelia Island disaster I can bet that Justine will never ever beat Venus again! Justine┤s just plain SCARED of Venus.
