No need for a poll, she is 100% cheating!!!! 3 players can confess to that.

I don't think with a blister that she will necessarily be impaired.....maybe it felt loose to her when she was running and thought it was best to fix it before it became an issue.

Hell naw, with her lil' cheatin' azz. Seriously though, I think that after what happened at the French Open this year, Justine will probably always be questioned about everything she does on court. There will always be this little light that goes off in the back of fans heads that asks "is she REEEEALY injured" or "is she TRUUULY gonna say she didn't want more time between serves" . I just think that she's gonna be labled as a person who stretches the truth for the rest of her career because of what she did at the French.

I didn't see the match. How long did this break take? Was it significantly longer than the break between sets? This was taken at the close of the first set right?

lol, she took an injury break to have her blisters retaped...it's not like she pretended to go through childbirth between sets or anything :o

what's next? If Justine takes a bathroom break in a match will people ask: "Did she really look like she needed to use the bathroom? or was she faking it?" :p

Yes but she'll have at least one grand slam trophy and millions in prizemoney and a place in tennis history (especially Belgium's). I'd rather be her than you. :o You can't complain much from her perspective.

Come on guys Kim had the match on her racquet I don' know what happend she just felt apart. And Please all Justine did was change the tape from her blister, that's not a big deal. I remember when they show Serena changing the tape and her huge blister.

well, we all saw the blister, so how can she be faking?serena was moving fine at the australian open and she took an injury break to fix a blister.

I think she did appear injured cos she was slower than usual, although she started to turn the match around down 0-4 in the 1st set. Once she got off to a flier in the 2nd set Kim just sort of gave up.

It was Kim's poor mental game that let her down, obviously something of Davenport rubbed off on her during the semis.

I don't understand why Kim is saying how unfair it is that Justine apparantly takes an injury time out in each of their matches cos she is still ahead on the h2h so why complain????? Obviously it did not used to affect her but now that it does, she cannot get it out of her head, that is bad mental attitude and something only Kim herself can improve, instead of looking for excuses. She was just pissed off and a bit desperate after losing the match from a set up (Wimbledon anyone?) so she looked for excuses. I certainly do not hold this against Kim cos she is going through a tough stage at the mo, and I hope she gets through it.

oh well, kim needs to get it together mentally before she wins the USO.

changing a tape around a foot takes more time then a normal break between games..that's why they used a injury time-out.

She had a blister. If you didn't see that, then you need to wear glasses.

What amazes me the most, it's if Kim has never lost while winning the first easily. To remember a few, RG2001, 6-1 in the first set against Capriati, a summer hardcourt tournament against Serena in 2001, against Venus in Wimbledon 2003, against Serena in AO 2003......

She began well in the match and Justine was playing like shit and made no first serve and some double faults, 4-0 for Kim.
After that Justine was already playing better, and Kim had difficulties to serve at 5-3 for the first set.

i hope kim gets over this bullshit and just focuses on her tennis. its not justine's fault she cant be mentally tough.

Yes she did!
She grabbed her foot many times after a rally because the bandage on her foot wasn't that god anymore!
Come on people! Let this rest! Support for your favourite people but don't start bashing other players! it only states that you are not a true fan! True fans can admitt they were wrong or the other player was better!
This is beginning to sound like Serena! She also can't admitt someone being better than her??

well serena saying that is good and bad at the same time. its good cuz i does wonders for her confidence. its bad cuz when she loses, she's crushed.

Everyone who saw the match saw the blister, so why discuss this?

You're absolutely right!
This was on Justine's site : Justine said after the match : "My foot wasn't injured, I just needed a new bandage for some blisters."

I really can't see what's the big deal?! What's the use of these time-outs if players that use them (no matter how serious the injury/problem is!) are being accused of cheating?

And lots of people are saying it turned the match around, but from what I saw Justine already started playing a lot better in the first set at 0-4 (before her time-out).

I really don't think Kim OR Justine don't sleep because of this 'incident', so why should the rest of the world keep going on about it...

btw : Does anyone know where I can find the full transcript of their post-match interview? I've only read thos 'contoversial' parts of it, but I would really like to read the rest and I can't find them... :p

I really don't get the problem that some people have. She had a blister, she needed the tape changed, end of story surely. It was the best time to take it, it only ran over the sitting down by 2m minutes. She did not interrupt play say in a middle of a point or a game or a set, so there shoudl be no problem.

I think that Justine unfairly accused Davenport in Zurich last year but that showed that her confidence was not that high. After all the training she did over the off season her confidence zoomed up, also after beating Davenport for the 1st time (Aus Open), beating Capriati and Seles in Dubai, beating Serena twice, winning French.... All of this plus her marriage has secured her mental attitude and her confidence is unbelievably high.

Kim is currently at the same place Justine was in Zurich last year attitude wise, she needs some more confidence is all.
