I was wondering about that when I saw Kim won't play in LA too. Obviously Kim will lose the #1 ranking by not defending her points next week, but Ai is in the doubles draw, isn't she? (I think I saw her name). Maths is not my strongest point and I'm exhausted after too many early morning wake up calls to follow Vivi and Paola's matches, so I'm not sure whether or not Ai could challenge Vivi for the #1 spot next week. Ai was runner up last year and Vivi didn't play, so I would guess not, but does anyone know for sure? If it's the case that Vivi will get to be #1 next week anyway, then I'll be happy for Kim reaching #1 this week! ;)
