I will take a copy of the new JB Fletcher book to bed with me and have a nice read before I doze off.

When Im fatigued or extremley lethargic I like to lie down somewhere cosy, have some classical music on or listen to talk back, have a drink of Ovaltine or Hot Chocolate and think about issues that may concern me.

I would go to sleep on my own bed. It's the best thing happening to me! ;) I love sleep!! :hearts:

When I'm tired...like burnt out mentally and physically...I have a ritual to relax first, which ultimately leads to some sound sleep. Pampering yourself or taking personal time gets you back to center.

I'll turn off the TV and opt for classical music in the background instead. If I have wine in the house I will pour a glass and sip it or hot tea if I am trying to wind down very late at night. I will then light a candle (focusing on a flame is very relaxing) preferably scented to get some aromatherapy action...run a very hot bath with bath salts to relax aching or tense muscles....a hot shower is good too...but a long soak off the feet does wonders. Put on a mud mask  and just chill...

I'll take all of these things in with me to the bathroom and shut everything out and just listen to the music and feel the heat from the water. take some slow, deep relaxing breaths...I usually feel relaxed and formless at the end of all this...I am out as soon as my hits the pillow and I sleep very deeply...I like to try to plan and get 8-10 hours of sleep after a ritual like this..

it might only be once a week but it is one hell of a battery recharger!

I wish I had the patience for all of this ...

I find that it takes me hours to fall asleep, unless I'm really really really tired. This is very annoying, especially when I have to get up early the next day. :(
