Mel Blatt has revealed she has plans to work with one of her former All Saints bandmates again.
Speaking to dotmusic last week, Blatt - who has been involved in a war of words with the Appleton sisters - said she has talked to Shaznay Lewis about the prospect of recording together again and seemed confident the plans would come to fruition.
"We're very close and I am sure it will happen," Blatt said. "We often discuss it."
According to Blatt, she got Lewis to perform a "little wee rappy talky bit" on one of the tracks on her forthcoming album.
Blatt releases her first solo single 'Do Me Wrong' next week and describes the release date as "scary, quite daunting but exciting all the same".
"I wrote most of the album with my other half Stuart (Zender) at home," she told us. "When I listen to music it's all about escaping from reality and the shitty world we live in.
"Most of the songs are about love, dreaming and now nice it would be to live above the clouds."
As far as ambitions go, Blatt said she would love to replicate the sales success of the All Saints and would only change "a few things" about her time with the band, adding that "on the whole it was f**king great".
