Let's face it, childhood was pretty good for most of us. None of the worries we have today. What were your favorite childhood toys? I was a freakish child and played with an array of toys.
#1 Toy - My Little Ponies -
Gawd, I loved these things. No wonder I'm gay. ;) When I was young, I wanted to do everything that my sister did, so I picked up a pony fetish. Over several years, I collected over 30 of the plastic four legged figures. Sadly, searches for "My Little Ponies" brings up some hot porn sites...
#2 - Trucks. A bit of a drastic difference between that and my favorite toy. I loved to play with my big yellow Tonka's in the sandbox.
#3 - Pound Puppies - Loved these little plush guys. So cute. I always wanted to be a vet.
#4 - Legos - Who doesn't love Lego's? I wasn't into the sets, but loved to dink around with these guys.
#5 - Barbies - Refer to #1. Comb the hair, have Barbie and Ken go out on dates.
#6 - Ninja Turtles - Loved these guys for a time also. They were soooo cool. I always tuned in too. I had all of them I believe and had a strange fetish for the green goo they transformed in.
# 7 - Electronic Train Set - I loved this too, and wish I would have continued. Nothing is more cool than a mini-town scene.
Of course I loved to bike, catch bugs, swim and everything but this is my list of fave childhood toys. How about you guys?

My Little Pony & The Care Bears were my faves and to think they're now back in fashion! I've still got my 2 Care Bears (Funshine & Bedtime Bear) but my ponies must've been thrown out. I had this lovely purple pony with wings. My friend was jealous of me because I had it and she always wanted to swap. But she had 3 of the Care Bears that I wanted (Birthday Bear, Champ and Tenderheart)

#1- Barbie, I used to make their clothes and do their hair. When I say do their hair, I mean I'd do braids, throw curls in there, use beads... everything. Sometimes their hair looked better than mine. :tape:
#2- My Little Pony, I still have Morning Glory. She was a baby unicorn. :)
#3- Strawberry Shortcake and Friends, I still have the black baby Orangy. :D
#5- Playdoh, gosh... I had the pizza kit and I'd sit up there and make pizza all damn day!
#6- She-Ra, Mistress of the Universe!
#7- Legos/Lincoln Logs
#8- Ghetto Games, c'mon now... you know what I'm talkin' bout... 'Mother May I?' 'Red Light, Green Light' hand-clapping, hopskotch... Punchanella... I had the BEST time playin those than playin with actual toys. Kindergarten... on the playground at 12... Punchanella was it!

I think my first set which contained a stethoscope, a plastic syringe, a little first aid box, the breathing appartus which went over your mouth and a costume was from Fisher Price. The next set was a little more advanced, but always fun when you had friends and family to operate on.

question: I've noticed in these threads that several Europeans mention Playmobil as their favourite toy (it was my favourite by far, still is), yet I never see Americans mention Playmobil. Don't you have it in the US?
Aug 1st, 2003, 03:55 PM
I loved Lego :hearts:, playmobile was less interesting for me :)

I still get a nice feeling when I see a playmobil boxes in the shop. I mostly got one with sinterklaas or my birthday (wich was 2 days apart), and those boxes always looked so nice blue and had a certain smell. it was the same with barbie dolls. probably it had also to with the fact that it was new and so more interesting.
