That's so sad, he was a great, great man. He did some much for the American troops, and brought his humour to everyone. He will be missed, but his memories will carry one for generations, Im sure.

:sad: "thanks for the memories" Bob - my fave movie of his was the comedy western "The Paleface" with Jane Russell - she played Calamity Jane on a secret mission and marries Bob ( a timid dentist) as a cover - it was very funny :lol:

I havent seen any of his movies, but Im very inclined to go rent one, its a shame this is what its taken for me to do so but...

Bob turned in a stellar performance in a non-comedy starring role in a 1957 movie about a flamboyant ex-NYC Mayor. The film was Beau James and I highly recommend it for NYers, ex-NYers, and political junkies like me! ;)

I don't know why everyone is so sad. He lived to 100, that is a very full life and he hasn't been in the best of shape in recent years. Unfortunately people can't life forever.
