How do I check IP Addresses?

does someone want to teach me?:angel: I feel so stupid w/o knowing how to:o .

I think you got an ip adress from your provider at least I got one from them.
when you go to network connections and click on it then you will see your numbers.

I have cable internet though, not sure how it goes with phones or whatever there is more

hm, i think it's possible for the others to see your ip when you log on to the live chat?

You find the number (email headers, chats, wherever) and look them up - a number of sites let you do that, such as:

http://www.arin.net/whois/ (the Americas)
http://www.ripe.net/perl/whois (Europe)
http://www.apnic.net/apnic-bin/whois.pl (Asia/Pacific)

You can check your own ip here:
http://checkip.dyndns.org/

Keep in mind that IP's change, and they can be masked.
