I know there is a lot of people who spends in this forum all day (how can they have 5.000 posts??)
Well, I donīt know you but I donīt like very large posts, I donīt read it, I prefer short ones. I try to make my posts very resumed (when my english speach allows me).

I know there are large post that are excellent and cool, but I donīt read it. I pass my eyes on it to see if thereīs something... I donīt know.

Size does matter.

I don't like long post either, but if I find it interesting enough I'll still read it. I usually keep mine short because in general I like to make my point directly.

The idea is to write as briefly as the subtlety of your point allows.

E.g.:  @d-love

(nothing very subtle about that)

I guess it takes practice. Read enough long posts and maybe one day, you'll manage to extend your attention span enough to read an entire book. Fancy that, eh!

My posts are a little laaaaaarge sometimes - I shouldn't babble so much... And I use too many smilies!! I suffer from SAS aka Smilie Addiction Syndrome!! :o :bounce: ;)

With large posts, well - if I am interested in the topic/the poster I will read them but my concentration really isn't so great sometimes... Something else that is wrong with me? This thread is starting to depress me - waaah... ;)

:wavey: @ Catriel :) (Go Lena!! ;) )

Be glad I don't post the lyrics of some of those 8 minute plus Bob Dylan songs! :p (Maybe on the one day of the year it gets played - Thanksgiving in the US - I'll post the full 27 minutes of Arlo Guthrie's classic Alice's Restaurant)!

Long posts...I've done a few...

They're fine if you have to make an extended point, but I believe in the "keep it simple" approach :)

I guess the clever response to this would be a really really long post, or a really short and witty one. Looks like I'm about to fail on both counts. [Submit]

Hey don`t attack me!! :retard:
Perhaps I was not clear enough

Sometimes large posts are excellent, that is obvious
But other times there is just garbage, that is why I think it`s better to go to the point.
There is people who spend the whole day here, so they have enough time to wirte and to read everything, sometimes posting with a lot of imagination, sometimes just because there is nothing to do with their lifes.

About me, yes I`m a university student when my job gives me a break, I going perhaps slowly to my graduation but I don`t give up.

About reading books, last month I finished my second book in english (it was very hard because it had a lot of slang) but I read 2 or 3 books per month since I was 14 years old more or less.

It`s not too easy to read in another language and find at the end that the poster wanted to say.... nothing! :banghead:
