Love it though when I get my hair trimmed at the hairdressers and they do the whole washing my hair and massaging my head. That is sooooo good! And they have these vibrating chairs too... ;) And when they have finished it looks all professional, shiny and straight - and smells sooo good.

But alas I am too lazy to blow dry my hair myself so it stays wavey.

yep, I like it better then a straight flush dye because it holds more of the colour in, and I like having alot of regrowth showing.

When I was younger, I used to dye it Blondes, and I would start getting more and more lighter and golder, it looked alright I geuss, but now darkers, like Copper, Shades of Blacks Im into. now.

Any particular hair style you have,? Mines just straight and long most of the time, wear it in a french bun, or a long ponytail. My latest design was like having "Ram Horns" on both sides, ya know when ya curl ya hair into circular, and part it on both sides, looked good actually.

Go head Rothes! I like your stories.

Ya know with the two tone I'm feelin it but only on some peeps. It's like to me the new growth looks good only if the person got the right kinda fashion style if u knwo what I mean. I really like two tone like gold and black or brown with red highlites on chinese girls who dress mad funky. Those girls know how to work it!

The ram horns style is cute but I gotta say only on some girls. U gotta have the right tude if u know what I mean.

My hair is relaxed and I just pull it back in a ponytail or I wear a hat. Just so dang lazy. :o

Well having it plain and simple looks the best most days, I geuss it's a time consuming thing with hair and accessories, I mean it's a get out of the shower and pull it back routine, it stays like that from dawn to dusk usually.

Regrowth can be a toruble, and yeah I do know, there is just some people out there who shouldnt even allow to regrow their hair!! What can look nice though is if your hair is just "out" and left out, no styling whatsoever, particulary looks good with hair with a slight curl or friz to it.

Yeah the Asian girls look good with the gold and red in their hair!! I think it was a Japanese Athlete who had red highlights in it, also with some shade of gold, it suited her well, mind you her hair was short.

its natural. i dont blowdry it nor do i ever style it. its basically straight, if i blew it out itd look real nice, but usually i go with the carefree look with a teeny bit of wave. my hair is ridiculously thick. everytime i go to a salon or just anywhere people talk about how thick my hair is, how they want my hair, blahblahblah. i swear, it aint as fun as it looks. its TOO thick for me to do anything w [im lazy, ok?]

its long now, but not like it used to be. it used to reach my bellybutton from the front, ass from the back. now it just covers my boobs. but honestly, its so thick i could walk around shirtless and there wouldnt be a chance of any nipple showing.

when its a lil shorter, i wear it down a lot. but right now its too long and too thick, it gets knotty REAL fast. so i wear it up eveyday in one of those clips things. but not an ordinary clip, oh no. most girls use 3 inch ones, i used the SIX INCH CLAW. and my hair even snaps the big hair ties, im done with one after two, three days use. grrrr

I wear my hair... natural!! :) My hair is very thick indeed... I can never wear hair accessories or anything because my hair is very thick (and I have a very big head, but I do not mention this here... ;) ) (Hat size 7 btw!! I love hats... :hearts: ;) ). It is a very dark brown but I dyed it red a few months ago (a hair colourant thing!) and the red is growing out, so I have brown roots and gingerish hair!! I thought I found my first grey hair last week - I was inspecting it from every angle and convincing myself it was a grey hair... Though, the opinion is that is was a blonde hair with a streak of ginger!! Sooooo... Anyway, again, natural hair here!! :)

I gotta question for u girls who wear your hair natural. Oh it don't matter if y'all color it just as long as y'all aint perming is straight or curly. My question is can y'all leave the house with nothing in your hair? No gel, no mousse, no hairspray. I ask cuz this one spanish girl I worked with at my last job had hair that was da bomb! Thick, curly, long and jet black. I was applauding every time she walked by cuz her hair was all that! The thing was she told me that she didn't put a thing in it when she left her house! I told her she was lyin but she told me all she did in the mornin was wash it (shampoo and condition) then towel dry it and she was good to go! Aint that sumthin? I wish I was that lucky cuz I aint leavin the house without any oil or some greasy stuff in my hair cuz that the only I can manage it. :o

U live in KL? A girl I used to work who come from KL said the same thing. The weather was too dang humid and her ahir was always frizzin up. The braids u can't wash but u can still get oils to keep it all neat and not let it dry up. If u wanna see stuff u can by go to that web site that Miss Rocketta posted.

i dont even own hairspray or mousse. have some matrix light gel but thats only cos i won a matrix hair think from Lucky magazine. i use it when i do piggy tail braids in my hair [not too often]. i shampoo with frederic fekkai moisturizing shampoo with shea butter and condition with frederic fekkai protein rx conditioner. and like dd, i use a hair mask once a week. frederic fekkai protein hair mask. when i get out of the shower, i use with Biosilk [it makes my hair so silky] or pantene light spray conditioner to get the tangles out. then i just let it air dry [takes a while].

ive only highlighted my hair three times, both were like a medium golden brown color. took THREE HOURS to do full foils. never dyed it.

i got a question: what should i put in my hair so it won't fall out so much? i don't know what products i should use...........my mom used to buy me some products for my hair (weird, but we bonded lol) but none of it really seemed to work. Help!

same here, miss thang. i just shampoo & condition. i don't blow dry for the most part unless i'm really late and have to show up somewhere where it would look best for my hair to be dry. i usually let it air dry. also, because my hair is thick, i give it a deep/heat conditioning once a week so that it's always manageable. also, i've never permed or dyed my hair. too drying and damaging.

Girl that why your hair is so healthy. :worship: These company makin millions off us women but a lot of they products do more damage than good. The good it do is only temporary cuz it only lookin good for that nite but the damage it do is more long term.

ill talk about when its straightened. i have thickish hair but not annoying thick healthy thick so its all good :D my hair is weird...it goes brown (its a cool colour though :D) this time of year so people are like "you dye your hair?" its like "noooo "...my cuz has the same "pro'lem". we use the same hair products so maybe thats it. i used to flick the endz of my hair up all the time (like Kelly Rowland used to do right?) but its a lot longer than hers so it didnt look the same but its all good. i like the red/black thing so i tried it with braids and it looked hella good. went to B'dos and this woman had the endz of her hair red and it looked great, might do that when i become less scared of my hair falling out if those gormless ass hairdressers at my salon mess up.

Girlllll I always wanted hair that got lighter in the summer like a lot of y'all.

See with sista's like Miss Kelly her doin the red/black thing worked cuz she kept her natural color and mixed in a highlite. I don't like it when sistas (orven a girl of any race) who got natiurally black hair dye their hair blonde cuz it always come out funny like a egg yolk color. :o

The lady u saw in B'dos had only the TIPS of hair red right? Hmmmm don't know bout that but I gotta see it to see if I'm a like it.

For weaves or extension in my opinion u gotsta pay good money for it. If u buy cheap ish it gonna look really stink. When I had my weave I had to work with a salon to get it really hooked up nice. They told me the color and texture that would be good for me and where I should go buy it.

Ooh, a hair topic! :D

Chile (rofl!), Miss Cari wears her hair relaxed. I don't use any color and I relax it myself. I usually blow dry it not to make it straight but to make it dry. I then use some hot six oil and the flat iron and I'm good to go. I was doing my hair last night while watching Alias and when I got done with the flat iron, my hair had a lot of bounce. I think I used too much setting lotion. I usually wear my hair up in one of those claws because my hair is so long (it's passed my shoulders). I need to get a hair cut. I keep it shoulder-length because I can do so much with it. But the humidity down in the dirty is so damn much, any curls I have = poofed, gone. I haven't worn it down this summer because it's too damn hot for all of that. pshhhf...

hey C and S, sorry for interrupting but!

anyway miss thang, i AM from KL and the website was really good(thanks rocky).
anyway, my hair is medium thick, so its ok. and the great thing about it at the moment is that since i went to the salon and straightened it( which made me declare bankruptcy) its been so damn easy to manage!!i mean, i dont have to blow dry it to give it that extra bounce. and i sure as hell would never die it blonde ever again. i tried it once back when i was about 15, and it was a catastrophe  . i wanted to be light blonde and that bitch stylist made it orange, or to be more polite, strawberry blonde  :fiery: . i had it dyed back to black the next week.

just a word of advice, dont put the heat on too much when u blow dry your hair cuz it will drop. and NEVER wash your hair with hot water when u shower. make sure the water is either cool and lukewarm.

Miss Princess I luv hair talk also!

*still loving the hair talk* :D

I don't put anything in my hair... :o No hairspray, no mousse, no nothing!! I should try and do more with it, I know... In my head I think I have gorgeous hair like the models in the magazines but the reality? Waaah... *sniffs* :) I'm just so hopeless with styling hair, style, full stop!! :o Would anyone here like to give me some tips? ;) That WOULD be nice... ;)

I had a perm once (when I was a teenager) and it was a disaster!! It took an absolute age to grow out... The words are, NEVER AGAIN!! ;) I was considering having a fringe cut into my (very thick!) hair but I don't know... (Be brave, Princess... ;) ) I think about growing it out and things and the thing just 'hanging' there... Aaaaah...

hmm, all the beauticians I've spoken with say No-Lye is harsher. I think the difference might come from the fact that its easier to "stop" the action of the No-Lye perms but I think it dries your hair out more.

i got a question: what should i put in my hair so it won't fall out so much? i don't know what products i should use...........my mom used to buy me some products for my hair (weird, but we bonded lol) but none of it really seemed to work. Help!

Honey I aint tryin to put u on the spot but I gotta be honest. If u 20 and your hair "fallin out so much" then chile it's time u start shavin it all off. Not bald but cut close to your scalpt cuz it gonna make your hair strong. Know what I mean? Just kinda like with Miss Beggin havin thin hair she know she gotta keep it short so it can be thicker.

I haven't worn it down this summer because it's too damn hot for all of that. pshhhf...

Chile I love me some setting lotion. :o And girl at least u bein modern by usin a flat iron cuz my sista is still doin the ol school hot comb over the stove routine with a damp cloth to take a way some a the heat.
Girrllllllllllll I aint clownin!

For u girls who don't the know the "hot comb over the stove" routine this is how it work. U got this metal comb (u buy it in black hair care stores). U go to the kitchen. U get a cloth or paper towel and wet it and leave it to the side. U put hair oil or some type of greasy stuff in your hair. Just workin it in to the roots. Now u turn on the stove. U hold the metal comb over the fire for about a minute. Then u cool off both sides of the comb on the wet cloth or paper towel. Now u take a section of your hair and and run the hot comb thru it. Just comb it like u would with a regular comb but with this hot comb u got a lot more slowly. After one section u put the comb over the stove and repeat the process. U do your whole head and afterward your hair should be really straight and loose. It aint that ehalthy for the hair but some black women still do it cuz they don't like perming their hair straight (the hot comb is a lot faster).

Hair mask? Kee-kee. :o How long u leave it on? It sound interestin though cuz the girl who do my hair (her name Ronda) talked about doin this deep heat conditionin thing yall talkin bout.

See the foil things take too long for me (I aint got no patience y'all) but it true the color look better when it done with the foils. 3 HOURS! :(

its expensive but its worth every penny. i just bought his brown hair shampoo, it really makes my hair shinier. its about time since theyve had tht blonde bullshit out forever. blonde=boring in my opinion, id never go blonde.

hair mask: 20-30 minutes. i need the deep conditioning shit, esp in the summer when my hair gets dry from the sun. the winter i cut back a lot cos my hair gets real oily.

my highlights were real nice. i alwayd got compliments on them... always. thats cos i didnt do the dark brown, lgiht blonde highlights. it was subtle and complemented my skin tone [which is a olivey-yellow color, not regular white girl rosy pink] and eyes real well. i might do it again this winter only cos i ownt go tanning and i get yellow as shit. i tend to look sick in the winter with my dark eye circles and yellow skin. it lights up my face a lot. and i REFUSE to do that indoor tanning shit, no thanks.

id never do the weave/extension thing. truth is, i really dont need anymore hair on my head.

I use different ones but I think Creme of Nature by Revlon is the best. Miss Rocketta maybe u left the relaxer in too long? And honey my hair so nappy I use a SUPER. :o

For u girls who wanna relax your hair and your hair is just wavey and curly and NOT like kinky like black peeps hair then u should use the Childrens relaxer kit (not as harsh). :)

Hey Miss Princess! :wavey:

I got to things to say to u girl. :)

#1 I bet u do got gorgeous hair like models cuz the spanish girl I was talkin bout before was the same way. No hair care products at all in her hair and her hair was da bomb EVERYDAY! Also the color. I thought for sure she dyed it but homegirl so said she didnt. I thought she was lyin again cuz her color was that rich jet black (or blue black) that specially shiny in the sun. She said the reason the color in her hair is so rich is cuz she don't dye it, she don't put anything in her hair and she "carefully" washes her hair. She was tellin me stuff like to use my fingertips to work in the shampoo and not massage my head with my fingers full force.

#2 Before u do anything with your hair I'd ask around where u live for a salon where the stylists are really cool and honest with the peeps. Find a girl or a guy who gonna say "Miss princess lookin at your complexion, hair color, face structure and body type these are the sytles that are gonna work for you and these are the styles that aint". And girl if gotta style u like u should ask the stylist "will this look hair style look good one me and be honest?". :)

Good luck Miss Princess!

I just put spray my hair with styling water when it's still wet. Then I blowdry it (just blow upwards to give volume). Sometimes I use a bit of clay to style a bit more. That's it. I can't do more, must have hair that is allowed to move. I always ride my bike to work, so a really styled hairdo would never last.
But since my hair is short, I must do something with it or it goes in all directions.

Miss Thang, you know it. I've been drivin' all tha' fellas crazy with this new do'. Yes, my hair is naturally black, though I've changed the color on several occassions. Some shit worked and some shit didn't, but I'm really lovin' this style. I've had the Plum color for a minute now. I actually went from a Plum rinse to Plum highlights then eventually I'll give my head a rest and just do my natural color. Oh, peep this, one of my girlfriends just got a "throw back" do'. Girlfriend got a Frost over the weekend and it is tight. On a side note, I can't put in my own perms. I don't know what it is, but that shit never takes. My hair comes out straight up snappy nappy around the new growth area and stiff as a stick on top :haha:. Can any beauticians here tell me what's up with this? I use Optimum Care and sometimes Dark & Lovely. Oh, and I always use NO-LYE because that's what I've always been taught. HELP!! I'm goin' broke trying to fall off in the salon every week!

wow, H-V, can you post a pic of your hair? it sounds like it's off the chains.

I think with the whole lye vs. no-lye thing, the process for lye is harsh but I guess the end result, what happens to your hair (breakage, etc) is harsher with no-lye. Both processes are not good for your hair (it is a chemical thing) but yanno, a sista deep conditions every weekend.
