Strange circumstances unite Applegate and Taliamanosoko

In one of the more stranger events on the FWTT tour, Ruflina Taliamanosoko and Bryanne Applegate were the first players to be involved in a love triangle. Bryanne Applegate's marriage with Tobias Applegate wasn't working well and all of a sudden an announcement was made that Tobias Applegat was marrying Ruflina Taliamanosoko as he was the father of two of her children.

Bitterness ensued between the feuding females but in the end, peace was finally made as they both live less than a mile from each other. Bryanne was there for one of the births of Ruflina's children and even helped sponsor her charity exhibition in December of last year. Ruflina consoled Bryanne and was apologetic for the circumstances, but helped Bryanne find love again in Tobias' brother.

The two had finally been at peace with each other and become mutual friends, then tragedy struck. Three weeeks ago, the man that bonded these two women, died in a horrific car accident in San Diego. Both players, knowingly upset, were united even closer in this tragic event and have become great friends.

Today, the two are playing on the same doubles team in WTT and are becoming quite the pair. Ruflina says, "Bryanne has been a great friend through everything. I really needed her in those tough times after Tobias' death, so it's so nice to have her with me." Similar comments come from the American Bryanne, "I was unable to even comprehend the death of Tobias, but all I know is that Ruflina and I counted on each other to make sure we got through this process with some sort of sanity."

The Deleware Smash, which Ruflina and Bryanne are a part of, is currently in third place in the standings and have greatly improved the Smash's results from previous years.

A smile, not seen lately from Ruflina, is given to the crowd in Deleware after a successful WTT match.

Capitals continue to Improve

The Sacramento Capitals are currently on top of the WTT League table after a 2-1 victory over the highly fancied Delaware Smash.
Brenda Van Haak got the capitals off to a great start with a tough 5-4 win over Ruflina Taliamanosoko. The crowd was enthrawled with the high level of tennis being played and thoroughly thanked the players after the match.
Samantha Kraston then put the result beyond doubt with a 5-3 win over Gisele Noventz. This was another tough match, with both girls fighting for every point.
But Delaware then grabbed the doubles match, with a strong 5-4 win over Nadia Banaszek and Kraston.

"Finishing 3rd is not bad - St. Louis was last in 2002 so it was a better performance. Thanks to Marteena and Anjelica for being my teammates. It was a great time and I am looking forward to play doubles with Marteena next year." said Graf after her last match in the WTTC
