Those of you who live up there (or extremely down there in southern hemisphere) are really lucky, I'd like to see this at least once in my life....that's one of the reasons I want to visit Escandinavia

Aurora Borealis...

Actually it'd be sh*t hot to go to a rave when the Aurora Borealis is on.... save a hell of a lot of money on special lighting.

propi, I used to see the Aurora once or twice every year when I lived in Maine, USA, and even occasionally in the summer. They are truly awesome, and impossible to really describe. Pictures don't do them justice as they move across the sky, sometimes fast and sometimes very slowly and the colors spread out in ripples and waves.
I hope you get to see them someday!

I have been lucky enough to see one once as well. I was living in Rimouski at that time, it is pretty far north in province of Quebec. It was a pretty amazing experience, especially since it was rare and unpredictable…

I, too, have been lucky to see the lights. And, as lovely as the pictures are, they are far more awesome when you see them live!

I saw them in Fairbanks, Alaska, and I swear, it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life. It's like staircases to heaven all over the sky dancing. It was amazing, in fact, quite spiritual.

Sometimes the Lights can be frightening and spooky. One night I saw them about 10:00, and they were all glowing white and shaped like a giant hand that grew bigger and bigger and took over the sky. I had to run into the house! :D

I´m not checking from a map but aren´t Oslo and Helsinki pretty much at same level ? So it would make sence that you´ll be able to see them too
