Mine is when she lost at 2002 Amelia Island Final, she leads 6-2 4-0 30-00 then she choked and blow the match 6-2 5-7 6-7

Lol about that match, it was hilarious! i keep turning off and on the tv and everytime Justine was in the lead until Venus won! Seriously at 6-2, 4-0, 30-0 and when she lost that game I was like ok, she has only to win 2 more games, WHEN SHE COMPLICATES HERSELF:)!

but to me the most disappointed Justine match was the 2001 RG Semi.

but the great thing about Amelia Island in 2002 is that she came back a month later to win the German Open over Serena:)

Yeah she blew it in that Amelia Island final :sad:
It was so sad & frustrating to watch! :( Thank God she's over her choking problem now :D:D

Go Justine!!! :yippee:

O I quite liked that Amelia Island match. Although blowing a huge lead in the second, she still put up a hell of a fight in the third set and even saved some match points :)

My most disappointing Justine match must be in the US Open match of 2001 against Serena. She was clearly the best player in the first set, but lost almost all her service games. She lost that first set 7-5 or something I think and was blown away in the second....

For me it was the match against Kim in the masters ... she played soooooooo bad

I think the hand thing in the FO and the accusing of Lindsay are my most disappointing moments of Justine. Choking is not disappointing for me. Pfff ... A match is a match. She improves and will make sure that that will not happen again.

But the hand and accuses are permanent. She doesn't regret it ... you see, I like that she says what she thinks and not twists her opinion just to be nice. But I don't agree with her.

When i watched the amelia island match i felt like such a jinx cos i missed the first set and tuned in when justine was 3-0 up in the second set. she won one game and then it went downhill from then. but i still though she showed character by pushing venus to a tiebreak in the third even though she relinquished the second set lead.

In regards to the thread, the most disappointing match was one of the first i've watched which was the roland garros semi-final in 2001. unlike the amelia island final this was in a major tournament and its always painful to see these matches ... that was probably what made me support justine. Again i still think she had great character in bouncing back at wimbledon and beating capriati who was the best player at that moment in time to reach the final.

The hand thing I guess, she lost alot of respect from me for that, but I still like her after all she is the first Belgian to win a grandslam.

Staying up really f*****g late for her match against Kim clijsters and then Justine played the worst I'd ever seen. But I just kept telling myself it was because of the upcoming wedding.

The affaire we refer to as the "hand-affaire" ;-) was very dissappointing too, not at the moment itself, because I was too pumped up, but when I saw it again afterwards and after seeing the reactions, I wish she would have done differently, some people have the guts to say she only won RG and that really hurts...

I don't see the "hand controversy" as a disappointing moment, because I can understand her ;)

:secret: I would have done exactly the same in her position :o

Actually, I can't really see one disappointing moment.
Well, yeah, something used to annoy me: she used to struggle against players she should have beaten 1 & 0...
Oh, and sometimes, when you thought she was going to have "the" big breakthrough, she seemed to fall apart and choke mentally

But she always managed to surprise me because she has a big ability to bounce back and set higher goals! :worship:

Oh the hand thing was a disappointment too. After that point, I didn't enjoy her win as much as I would have without that "incident" :(

I think the hand thing is not Justine's fault.
