Dear moderators:
Honestly look at some of the nasty shit that is posted on this board. I know it's non-profit. I know it's hard to monitor. I know most censorship is subject to individual interpretation, but damn.

I invited one of my co-workers to join who happens to be a nice guy who dislikes the Williams Sisters because they always beat his favourite Kim Clijsters. He and I make jokes about each other's favourites whenever we discuss tennis, but we are never mean spirited.

He viewed this website and said that it was one of the meanest places he'd ever visited. That's coming from a person who doesn't even like the Sisters. . . .LOL!!!!!(I guess he took a look at some of the thread titles).

I know that it may not be a big deal to you because it means one less person to traffic, but it seems that we could possibly be going toward another shut down of sorts if it doesn't get addressed.

I agree with pr's post and suggest one possible remedy if the software will allow for it: some kind of "sub-moderator" position. Those so empowered could only put offensive posts into "quarantine" for review by full-fledged mod's when they get to them. (Obviously, this would be based on Admin. provided guidelines and a "sub-mod" who used this function because they just took issue with a post or didn't like the poster would forfeit this power).
