One player I would like to say should be considered a "silent threat" as I call it at Wimbledon is Chanda Rubin. Although she is ranked number 7 in the world, as has been pointed out on this site many times, Chanda does not get as much respect as she deserves. Granted, grass is not her best surface, but after a great clay season (1 title, Madrid, QF Roland Garros,) look out for a motivated, healthy Rubin. As pointed out in the most recent issue of Tennis Mag., Chanda has a great fighting spirit and can really start taking it to a big player. Although it wasnt on grass, does anyone remember Los Angeles last year? Serena, SF, Davenport, F! A returning Eastbourne champ., keep your eyes out for Chanda!
